Took me awhile to find this but it for sure was worth the search! Was looking at Delkevic for my Monster 696 and couldn't decide between the 9" and 14". Your video was a great help in pushing me towards the 14". Thanks for putting the time in to make it!
Record a movie of the ride :) Beautiful SV for this V2 engine and Delkevic exhaust gives you a brilliant combination! Waiting for a movie of the ride! Regards
KamilWR thanks a lot! I'm working on figuring out how to get good onboard sound - the gopro mic doesn't do anything justice. The weather is looking up as spring finally have arrived, so a new video is right around the corner! Stay safe out there!
I recommend recording the sound through a voice recorder. You can hide it in your backpack and record the very clean sound of the same exhalation. With the Go Pro camera you can record the image and then glue the sound to the picture. It gives a very good material. You inspired me to buy a Delkevic exhaust for my SV 650 K4. Thank you :)
I just got a Zoom H1 and have been experimenting with different places to put the mic to get the clearest sound without wind noise. Good choice of exhaust, you are very welcome! Best of luck to you and your beloved SV :)
Bro that’s how I’m tryna have mine looking! All black would be so nice, I plan on adding bottom fairings, and this exhaust is sexy af, I’m tryna hit that link 🤣
How long is this can? Im looking to put a 400mm race exhaust with an internal diameter expanded to 61mm so am wondering if it would be louder than this?
I have seen that you have the mesh inside the exhaust which is the catalytic converter. Did you remove it when installing it on your bike? I don't know if I should remove it or not.
Right, I did not remove it when installing. As far as I know there aren't much pros/cons to taking it out, so I'd rather leave it be. Might be a tad louder if you remove it, and it's more than loud enough debaffled. Good luck with the install!
Probably for the best, removing it might reduce backpressure as well, making engine run leaner and hotter. I know a full system swap requires ECU flash to adjust FI but a slipon does not. Enjoy the bike and the sound :)
@@motobeard2781 On my 2002 it runs awesome, and I haven't adjusted my carb... the bikes run a little rich anyway from factory... I put 600 miles on 3 times in a week, with 2x 400 trips inbetween when I went to my buddy's for a week... and I never rode below 90 mph....she rocked.... I've put a set of tires on since and need another... bought her @2800 miles a year and a half ago, she now has closer to 20,000, and I had her doin 135ish today without a hiccup :D
Ha... there's always one in every bunch.. "Meh, ....I like it better stock.." .. of course you do Gerry.. we weren't taking to you... no offense ...lol
Jason keyes Sure thing Jason! I've recently bought a better mic and will do a walk around of the bike with some exhaust sounds, I'll make sure to include a couple of flybys too! Just waiting for the weather to improve, the two-week forecast is nothing but rain 😢
No worries! Slight gurgling at engine braking, but hardly noticeable. No loud pops or backfires yet. From what I've seen online, the 225mm or 200mm version has more popping to it. I get that it's cool and all, but it's just unburnt fuel that gets to the exhaust - so you might be able to tune it to a richer mixture if you want to achieve it. I haven't done any ECU tuning myself.
the mt 07 imitates 90º twin cilinder sound and the cc are very similar, 689 vs 645. So it makes sense. Mid cc ducati monsters also sound similar for the same reasons.
Those stock exhaust on the SV are absolutely huge 😮

Sounds incredible even with the Baffle in! Nice video. Was gonna look at the Scorpion option for this but the Delkevic is just something else.
A1 video! Super helpful and well put together. Appreciate it
Thanks, appreciate the feedback! Stay safe out there

Yep, this is what I’m putting on my ‘18 SV650
Good luck bro, it's going to sound amazing

Sweet looking 650 tail tidy would really set it off delkevic seems like the best option for the sv
The tail tidy was done eventually, have a look here: instagram.com/p/BelvMwsHvAD/
Sounds incredible with no exhaust 😅
Don't be that guy who rides around the block for an hour with no exhaust. Everyone just wants to throw a brick at that guy.

350mm- 14 in or pretty close.
Did your bike have a catalytic converter?
Yes, you can see the honeycomb when the midpipe is off. I think 04+ has a cat.
@@vway2 +7 i think, also dual spark plug

Thanks for the reply, I won't remove it either as it definitely sounds great even with the mesh inside.

Are those tights you are wearing.
Has to be the worst fitting pair of tights in the galaxy if that was the case
I assume this is the "high mount" 350mm version but it really doesn't seem to mount any higher than stock....
this one actually isn't the high mount version.
High mount would have the exhaust just right under the indicator light
I think the original, stock exhaust sounded the best and it looked the best too.
Yeah no way in hell 🤣

Please do a flyby video! May get one for my sv

Dig the purple pants...
Thanks, I'll consider a video on pants in the future
So is this a v-twin?
Correct, 645cc liquid cooled 4-stroke v-twin. The sound says it all!
Yes
1:28 technically it still has an exhaust, just no end can silencer 😊
no baffle is leagues better sound
Agree! Will do another video soon with a proper microphone and some fly-by sounds as well.
Pretty much sound like mt-07

no exhaust.
cmon
Gotta be able to look my neighbors in the eyes every now and then...
Motobeard hahha what do you mean by that?
$2700 camera hahaha gimme a break
