The H47 Tube is buttery smooth - listen to the way it de-emphasizes “esss” and “tttt” sounds in a really pleasant way. Also doesn’t pick up all the gross mouth clicks and noises

The first 47 Style with the light retro touch fits perfectly. Also the Nr4 87 Style works great. As a rule: Male voices have the tendence to work with "center contacted" Neumann Style Capsules like K47 or K87 better. Not always, but as a good starting point. The 269 Style is in my opinion too hefty, to much sparkling character with the brighter U67 Capsule Style and the combination of the "nowadays available" small Minitubes like 6S6B or 5840W Tubes as Telefunken AC701 replacement. The 251 Mic is would be also not my first choice. Too bright, too much on the face. Great Vocals...👍The first 47-style version with the slight retro touch fits perfectly. Not always, but as a good starting point in sound engineering. In my opinion, the 269 style is too massive, too much sparkling character with the brighter U67 capsule style and the combination with the small replacement mini tubes such as 6S6B or 5840W tubes that are only available “nowadays”...instead of the super rare Telefunken AC701 tubes. The 251 Mic with CK12 Capsule wouldn't be my first choice either here. Too bright, too much “on the face presence”. Great singing, good comparison..👍

Heiserman U47 and 251 sound so similar to me except sibilance is smoother on U47, but otherwise not as dark as i would've guessed.
