Yeah they could've def done some damage. I think had they done something Saafir wouldn't have gone the "playa" route. Think he would've stayed more B-Boy. Those later songs were terrible.
@@nocturnalron69his reputation for freestyling was amazing so the bboy/backpack crowd always loved him for that but his songs never caught on with the bboys. That's my experience at least from So Cal. Heads respectes Saafir plenty but couldn't get with him albums. I was a big fan of the Hobo albums The Black Album and The Cleaners. Those albums were pretty underground but REAL dope. He definitely missed out by not dropping more projects for the heads. Imagine how weird an album between him and Madlib could sound? DJ Muggs. Damn so many possibilities. Even Dre. Double M Saafir right at you!!!

man i had 2 mixtapes MM that he only released on cassette that i bought at a sacramento record store in like 1997. they got stolen along with all of my cassettes i had in my car in 1998. i swear i cannot find out anything about them anywhere online
