Hey everyone, small update for you all:
So it appears like Pulsar has "patched" this issue on the newer batches of the X2H, X2V2 and X2H preventing this issue.
I also confirmed that this issue isn't present on the Xlite v3, X2H eS or the Xlite eS editions.
I'll do my best to get my hands on some newer batch models to see if they're truly patched the issue. If for whatever reason they haven't the fix in this video still applies to the X2H, X2A and X2V2.
    Thanks for watching 💜

Does pulsar provide a replacement copy if you currently own an older "pre-patch" model? Also, is there a way to tell if you have an old vs new model?

You saved this mouse for me, X2V2 mini to be specific. Had this issue in the first month of buying it but didn't want to go through the RMA process plus my tinkering side got the better of me. Only on the fourth disassembly today did I actually google someone doing this...
I was too dense to realize the switch pads weren't the only thing that could be causing this, thank you!

Fantastic video and info! I had the sticky click issue on my X2A which was less than a month old. I took it apart and it was the archway contact pad issue you described. The contact pad was damaged so in a resting position the left click stuck to it, so the first click always felt sticky. I removed it and all is well now. I don't hear or feel a difference in the click. I could have RMAed it, but felt like a waste for such a small issue that is easily fixable. After soldiering on new switches onto my GPW and G903, this was pretty simple.

Just recently got an x2v2 medium size and I noticed the sticky main clicks almost immediately. I read some posts on it found the resolution by removing the small foam pieces under the anchors. It seems to have resolved all the issues I was experiencing. I didn't know about the rubber on the top until I saw this video, but I also haven't noticed anything bad yet, indicating that there is an issue (knock on wood).
With the foam under the anchors, I didn't even bother to disassemble as much as this video demonstrated. I just used a safety pin after I disconnected the ribbon and poked the foam out from underneath and scraped as much of it away as I could. Seems to have been a quick fix with no noticeable problems thereafter.
Just found you today on RUclips. Very good video. Concise, quick, and informative. Keep it up! =)

Been wondering what was causing the sticky clicks. I love Pulsar. Some of my favorite mice. But man, it's like they fix one thing, the scroll wheel, and then something else pops up, sticky clicks. Sooner or later they will get it right. This will be included in my actual review of my X2V2 thanks to you.

Just ran into this issue right now and the way I manage to fix it was by pulling out the main clicks out of the shell and grabbing both ends of a main click and lightly bending it on the opposite direction to give it the tension again. Really weird how it just instantly just got fixed just by giving it a couple light bends. Just be careful of course and not permanently bend it or break it since it's plastic of course.

    • @mel0nFPS
      @mel0nFPS  8 месяцев назад

Technically more pre-travel but since the rubber pads are sunk into the shell there isn't a massive change, maybe 0.5mm or lower. The main difference will be the sound as there's no rubber/foam to dampen the sound.

    • @Fatal_Error_Gaming

    • @mel0nFPS

@PSFinally got this done, I had to pick up a spudger to get the shell open, squeezed the sides till I could fit the spudger in and went round the shell flicking it in and up towards the top. It's also worth noting, on the mini at least, the two screws for the main clicks are tiny, I had to buy a precision screwdriver set to get them out. After that it worked perfectly though. I opted for only taking out the little foam pads, not the rubber as I was only getting the crunch issue not the sticking. Interestingly, one of the foam pads had broken apart, with some of it stuck to the post on the main click. Used this as an excuse to pick up a set of superglides too, so win-win in the end. Thanks for the video!
ps. the X2H mini, at least mine, is internally identical to the X2H medium in the video, including the rubber pad design.
