    I think this gets way to much hate. Sure, it isn't what the 50th deserves, but without thinking about that, it's FANTASTIC! And I would love to have a chance seeing this live.

      I don't quite get the hate either--i thought this arrangement for this show was greatly composed! Plus, wasn't everybody given a heads up in advance that said song arrangement and show was going to be based on the more recent releases in the movie lineup?

      @@PhAnToMkIsS2008 We knew about the fact that Enchantment would be more IP based, but we thought it would be more like Disneyland Forever, Disney Dreams and HAE. Not...whatever it turned out as. It looks like the show was trying to be like Illuminate A Nighttime Celebration at Shanghai Disneyland, but it still manages to do that. I think it's the best out of the new 50th shows, but I still dont think it was a good fit for Magic Kingdom.

      I don't think people will miss it when it's gone. It doesn't have to do if it's new or old, but if it's good. I loved the lyrics of Happily Ever After the FIRST time I heard it. And when I saw the firework show on RUclips for the first time I was moved to tears. This one, I say this respectfully, is a disappointment. The expectations were set high after Happily Ever After AND it is the 50th Anniversary, so one would expect the biggest, greatest, most emotional, inspiring firework show for such a special event. And this is not it. It doesn't have a story, that inspires you from beginning to end, things don't connect naturally.

    Ok, finally saw this in person the other week.
    its not bad, its rather good.. however, Its still not as good as Happily Ever After I feel?
    theirs a real 'heart' in Happily I feel that this show lacks in the majority of it. But thats the disappointing part I feel personally?
    When Wishes ended, it was sad, but Happily Ever After debuted and blew us the fuck away, it did its job of toppling the premiere well know Magic Kingdom night show.
    Enchantment, while good, doesn't feel like a better replacement.
    Which I find the oddest part since this is meant to be the big 50th anniversary, you'd think Happily Ever After would be what they are aiming to topple with this. You are the Magic is a good song, but yeah, it could be better.
    Wishes is a 8/10 show
    Happily is a 10/10
    Enchantment is 7.5/10 but it *should* of been an equal 10/10 or that fabled 11/10 to make people not as pissed off.
    Also, for those who keep saying "Happily Ever After was an interim show to hold us off till Enchantment"
    this is not true in the slightest, Disney gave NO indications of the change till about 2-3 months before the Big 50th, where Epcot, they gave you plenty of time to 1) finish Illuminations: Reflections of Earth. 2) Told people repeatedly that Epcot Forever was an hold over show with a single year deadline on it (granted the pandemic cut Epcot Forever's showings short.. alot). and 3) Hype up Harmonious
    Enchantment didnt really get that same attention, so when people say it 'feels cheaper' I have to agree. It feels like it was made after a week of pre-production with a single song properly finished for the show.
    I dont hate Enchantment, but yeah, I'll cross my fingers that Happily Ever After returns after the 50th celebration is over. but with Cheapek in the drivers seat, whos actively tried reducing Parks spending? ill hold my breath.. hard.
    I feel this show should of also did more homage to the history and love of ACTUAL Walt Disney World, cause yeah, 50th? Disneyland got that love, and people love "Disneyland forever" in that stead. Walt Disney World should of gotten the same treatment for its big finale show.

    • @GuyGenie73
      @GuyGenie73 2 года назад

      I think you'll find plenty of people who would support the idea that if you've not seen the Prior Show, Happily Ever After, than there's nothing wrong with this show. There is merit in that. The problem is in direct comparison Happily Ever After show was Superior and that is why this show gets the hate. It's the 50th Anniversary show so expectations were very high and it did not exceed those. I completely agree it's not a terrible show it's just not better than Happily Ever After.

  • @jackprather81
    @jackprather81 3 года назад +27

    This is a perfectly good show, with a few really nice choices. I don't love it as much as Happily Ever After, but it'll be worth a look now and then as a nightly spectacular.
    Where WDW dropped the ball here is that this new show that opened on the night of the 50th anniversary has nothing to do with the history of the park.
    Yes Disney World's history is a little muddier than Disneyland's, but there are tons of people who have made lifetimes of memories there, and paying tribute to that seems like a no-brainer that was completely missed. As is, I'm not really sure what the motivation for introducing the new show was. Happily Ever After was only 4 years old.

    • @nickthedreamer4434
      @nickthedreamer4434 2 года назад +1

      Technically, it was 5 years if you include the time that covid kept it from being shown and, in most Disney parks, they're technically suppose to make an effort to change parades and fireworks shows every 5-7 years to keep up with the times. With changes in leadership with the company and at the parks, it looks like that's a thing that's gonna start affecting WDW more often, too.
      Although I will definitely agree that it's an absolutely confusing move to not make a new fireworks show during the 50th anniversary of the resort NOT about the resort. There was so much that could have been showcased (I honestly wanted to see the 25th anniversary cake castle for 2 seconds on the castle) but, instead, we got a "meh" copy of Happily Ever After who banked a bit too much on Onward, Soul, and Raya being bigger hits than they ended up being.

    Alot of people are saying "YOu sHOuld GO To ThE PaRK TO watch IT And THen MaKe An opinion"
    But tbh I already see the true self in this show without seeing with my own tw eyes.
    Sorry, but this is the worst Disney firework show I've ever witnessed and tbh all of yall who go "OHh THis GeTs tOO mUch HaTe" are try hard Disney fans who can't call out Disneys bluffs at all.
    The beginning of the show was ok yet it didnt reference anything toward the actual 50th, nothing like "50 years ago" or "a long time ago a man named walt disney made a magic kingdom" blah blah. All it was, was "Tonight we gather in a magical place" etc. The theme song was good and it is actually very catchy and the pyro is decently strong.
    The bulk of the show had terrible pacing and the music/content was horribly picked. Idk what went through disneys mind to pick songs instead of telling the story of the resort. And many people think "how are u gonna fit in a history in a 15 minute show" but it's been done before, Remember Dreams Come True is an example of a perfect 50th show. The songs they used werent that good because they either didn't fit, or they didnt make sense.
    Can I also get onto the fact that tinkerbells build up was out of nowhere? Literally it takes 9 seconds to full comprehend tinkerbell was flying in this show. With Wishes and HEA and even Fantasy in the sky they had a build up to where tinkerbell would fly out and yet theres none here. It was like they added her in there out of no where. And when I mean build up I dont mean presentation such as projections I mean like music wise.
    (Altho I did like the tinkerbell animation on the castle)
    The main street projections were also a mess and were just not good lmao. They were way better in Disneyland park. (And it's hilarious and stupid on how they come in like so late into the show)
    The finale had decent build up tbh but even that failed dramatically with that weak blast of shell fireworks on the back lol. With both wishes and HEA they unitilized fantasyland building pyro along with the main shells for the finale and they filled the entire sky while with disney enchantment it isnt present.
    In conclusion, this is the worst fireworks show disney has ever shown. I even go as so far as to place it below fantasy in the sky. Disneyland forever is some what similar to this but even that is better.
    Anyways I rest my case, queue the annoying Disney fanatics ❤😍

    I'm crying - not because I love it because I'm disappointed I hate it! There's nothing disney about this! The song sounds far too much like let it go. The vocals in every song just weren't my cup of tea. There wasn't much too it, it was boring. I couldn't dance around my house doing the cleaning to this like I do with happily ever after. The transition between each section was like it was the end of the show they didn't roll into one another if it weren't for the fact I'm looking at the castle and hearing a few disney songs i don't feel any disney in this what so ever! Happily ever after tugged on a heart string from the moment I heard it. This however didn't! I know happily ever after was going to be hard to top but as it's Disney I believed in them so much to give us another belter. I'm just mortified I needed more disney and more of a let's scream the lyrics cause its that good! I'm hoping that when I eventually get to see it in person my opinion will change as I'm sure it will be different seeing it in person but for now this just isn't for me and it doesn't feel magical one bit and I really wanted to look past the negative comments but I can't cause now i see why it has so much negativity! :(

And I tried to like it. I really wanted to like it. But it just doesn't have a storyline, a main idea, or different parts of movies that connect to a main idea. It just seems to be a jumble of movies and songs just to put them up there and promote new films. And this is shorter by well over 7 minutes than Happily Ever After including the silent times.The expectations were set high after Happily Ever After AND it is the 50th Anniversary, so one would expect the biggest, greatest, most emotional, inspiring firework show for such a special event.
