Nah, this is just another case of "more variety = more fun". Honestly, they should've made it more clear when introducing this mechanic that it would show up in a bossfight later. Gameplay: Slashes boss 8,000 times with super sword combos. Cutscene: One good swing actually cuts of a limb after a series of parries from the boss to try to avoid getting slashed once.
Kinda like how the Mario and Sonic party games work. I remember Sonic Pinball Party very well. Both Tails and Amy get mind-controlled by Eggman to defeat Sonic in a pinball tournament, and once Sonic wins the effects wear off. Like somehow pinball makes everything better. After winning the tournament, Sonic meets Eggman who challenges him to one last round. Basically the goal is to get a higher score than Eggman. (aka reach 30 million points in 5 minutes) Eggman doesn't have any weapons to stop you or anything, he just... gives up if you win. And he gets to rule the world if you lose.

It was Vegetalo aka the dude with the crazy helmet who apologized. Vegetalo is spoof of all the former villains who did awful things - those who before turning good had very brash personalities and aren't necessarily deceitful or cunning like Lysanderoth - such as Vegeta and Piccolo.
There's an optional dungeon with an ice dragon who gets really pissed if you start searching the rooms in front of the boss room. There are dating elements.

Match F -- GS = 3.
A blue or a Red may appear on 1,3.
Match G -- GS = 3.
Again, it has a low chance of comboing.
Match H -- GS = 3.
This particular one is interesting, as although it has the lowest chance to combo into another match this turn, It lets you do a guaranteed 4-match on 3,7 and 3,8.
Summary --
If there is a special thing that makes 4-matches or double matches special, Match H or Match E is probably the best matches. If there is no such multipliers or bonuses then Match E have the highest chance of a high Gem Matched count.
Match B is also definitely not that good. as other matches have better 'Horizontals' potential.

Kinda like how the Mario and Sonic party games work. I remember Sonic Pinball Party very well.
Both Tails and Amy get mind-controlled by Eggman to defeat Sonic in a pinball tournament, and once Sonic wins the effects wear off. Like somehow pinball makes everything better.
After winning the tournament, Sonic meets Eggman who challenges him to one last round. Basically the goal is to get a higher score than Eggman. (aka reach 30 million points in 5 minutes) Eggman doesn't have any weapons to stop you or anything, he just... gives up if you win. And he gets to rule the world if you lose.
Or it's like in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, when you wiped the floor with the boss but the next cutscene implies it was a difficult fight

Story so far: king dragon captures prince Horace, and it's up the player (Dennis) and his friends,to save him. One of the hero's, Archibald, gets killed by Lysanderoth, who secretly works for king dragon. Later Lysanderoth apologies and is forgiven. Also King dragon raps. Fill me in on anything I'm missing

It was Vegetalo aka the dude with the crazy helmet who apologized. Vegetalo is spoof of all the former villains who did awful things - those who before turning good had very brash personalities and aren't necessarily deceitful or cunning like Lysanderoth - such as Vegeta and Piccolo.
If you collect all 800 pine cones you basically kill everything in 1-2 hits, the exclusions being the enemies that are meant to be impossible to beat.
There's an optional dungeon with an ice dragon who gets really pissed if you start searching the rooms in front of the boss room. There are dating elements.
