I did not expect to cry this much from this trailer but here I am bawling my eyes out. I’m so glad I’m not alone in feeling like this. I still think it was a massive mistake to not recast T’Challa, but absolutely I love how beautifully they are handling Chadwick Boseman’s passing. Both Chadwick and T’Challa were my heroes. REST IN POWER MY KING!
Also we are getting both Iron Heart AND Namor The Submariner. As someone who is half Latino myself I can’t tell you how happy I am that we are getting a top tier superhero representing us!

Pretty much every Harry Potter fan in the world is like "the second Dumbledore sucks, the first one was better..." xDxD The two situations are vastly different, tho. First: The original actor who portrayed Dumbledore (Richard Harris) was in his 70s.. His dead, while immensely sad, it wasn´t a "tragedy". He got to live a long and fulfilling life, to see his children and grandchildren grow up, but Chadwick... He was extremely young, and still had so many amazing things to experience :S
And Second: They had no choice, but to recast Dumbledore... They were adapting a single book, not a comic. What Im saying is they had no other choice, while with comics, there are other choices: Other characters who have taken the mantle, even some of his villains, etc. And pretty interesting choices, in terms of storytelling. I agree with the thought of a character being "bigger" than any actor who portrayed him/her. But not here, not now, and not like this There will be another live action TChalla some day, don´t worry about that.
Also.. Just stop to think how painful it could be for the people involved, who just lost a friend recently, and now they´re supposed to deal with his replacement.. Even more: Just think how helpful and powerful it could be for EVERYBODY, the creators and audiences involved, to deal with a lost like that through their art... Make the movie about Chadwick. To honor him, and turn all that pain into something creative, and beautiful. It just feels like the right thing to do.

This was a powerful trailer. It does hit you in the feels. You can feel how much of Chadwick Boseman's legacy surrounding this trailer and film. I personally can't wait.

The pacing from this trailer felt so rewarding, tragic, but still reassuring.
I can’t express how emotional this trailer made me. Almost everyone was giving this movie so much crap before even seeing 1 thing from it but I knew Ryan Coogler and these actors were going to do this right for Chadwick. Ugh, I just know this movie is yet again going to be amazing for the culture, but in a whole new way this time (while also honoring the legacy of both Chadwick and T’Challa). And I just know the emotion from the actors will be on another level bc they’re the ones who actually lost Chadwick as they actually knew him.
Its been one of my most anticipated movies since the first film and now I absolutely can’t wait for it. Wakanda Forever.

@@calicoesblue4703 Lol, no. Folks with no vision only see right in front of them, smart people back up to see the bigger picture.
Boseman work ethic despite having cancer and what he accomplished and no one outside his family knew solidified the fact this man could not recast in the movie that defied odds to become a blockbuster.
Sure his untimely death at first put Disney on the back foot, but due to his ethos not to burden others with his personal fight, he gave them a massive opportunity to cash in, it sucks to say it but he was contracted to make them money you know, while making his own. Do you even see how many people viewed the teaser trailer.
You should think more and speak less. Not everything upfront is as valuable at it seems.
This teaser would have not been met with the same fervor had they recast the character. Emotions play heavily into what we consume and how our minds view things. Death is the final end for the living, a man worked through the pain to show his dedication to his craft up until his death and no one could tell he was stage 4. Come on now, where have you been, oh wait I forgot you one of those with short-sightedness. Carry on!

No one here is emotionally prepared for that funeral scene. The real life passing of the amazing Chadwick is definitely impacting the movie experience.

That's 110% Letitia Wright in the end. And I'm thinking they would retire T'challa's suit which would leave the suit Killmonger wore for her to repurpose. She may also have struggled with taking over from her brother's legacy and I think that will be a story point in the movie.
Similar to how Sam struggled with whether or not to take on Steve's legacy

i think ramonda won't let her only daughter and remaining family take the mantle of bp and risk losing her too. perhaps shuri rebelled and disappeared to take the mantle and ramonda thought she's gone as well thus her powerful speech
The fucked up big time not recasting
This was so powerful and the visuals were so stunning. I can only imagine what Coogler and the cast had to endure to give us this movie. I'm so grateful and a bit torn for this movie because T'Challa wasn't recasted. However, seeing this it's a bit cathartic for me and I suspect, also for the culture and the world. My heart hurts still...but we have to show up for this movie like never before. I hope and pray one day we'll get to have the T'Challa character again, because there are so many amazing stories yet to be told. R.I.P. Chadwick Boseman, until we meet again. Wakanda Forever!!

When the Queen says that she has lost her entire family means that Shuri has something happens to her and must be presumed dead; however, I believe she survives and becomes the Black Panther
That could be a flashback to the blip when both her children were blipped.
One highlight: The LEGENDARY Angela Basset. Wow... Intense and emotional performance!
Angela put her whole soul into those lines and I wouldn’t even be surprised if that part wasn’t even acting that she was actually heartbroken while saying that line.
But in a story where the characters can see their departed ancestors, or their spirits, I think she will see Chadwick, and it will happen. But in a very elegant way

I translated the wakandan in the court like scene where the Dora Milaje are standing and it translates to. “In Power T’Challa Our Hero An Honor Forever” and I’m guessing there is another pedestal that translates to "lives". Also the billboard with T’Challa’s face says “The Panther King Forever Lives In Us And (something) The (something)” the billboard is cut off in the something parts.😭😭😭

This movie is emotional 😥 an exciting. Some fans are wearing white to the movie to honor Chadwick. T'Challa wore white when he had a dream of his father. That's why they're wearing white in the movie to pay tribute to Chadwick.

I’m going to be a mess. First ever movie trailer that’s made me so emotional. Is such a great feeling to see the Mayan/Aztec/Incan references with Namor I will bring tissues for sure.
Now since Namor is in it, that means they're probably going to draw from the conflict in the comic books, which means instead of T'challa being badly injured by Dr Doom, he'll probably be killed by him,( basically T'challa sacrifice himself to save Wakanda.) Dr. Doom will frame the Wakandans for some vibranium being missing from his kingdom if not something else which will cause the conflict between the two kingdoms. Long live the Queen! Wakanda Forever!💗

The editing in this trailer is fantastic. The choice to show Ramonda and Shuri grieving over T’Challa, then cutting to the birth of Namor. The contrast between death and life. 100/10 trailer!!!!!

Lupita is absolutely gorgeous! The amazing women of Wakanda will carry the light. I knew T'Challa's ceremony would be a beautiful stunning visual piece, with respect and love. The Wakandan tribes all in white dancing in slo-mo got me 🥲. It will be beautiful and emotional. Queen Angela Bassett will give a powerful performance. The photography, masterful painting-esque cinematography, scenery, Atlantis, wardrobe, cultural elements, performances, this trailer was perfect. I'm excited and so happy to dive back into this world that I adore & cherish so much. I really like how this teaser was edited/cut; there was a nice rising build to it.
The body frame in the Black Panther suit looks feminine, so it's mostly Shuri or possibly Nakia. 🤔

@@jacobjantke6886 A possibility, yes. That'd be interesting. I personally think it's either Princess Shuri or Nakia. Imo, I see Okoye being someone who chooses to serve as the protector of the crown vs wearing it; also in one quick shot from the teaser you see Okoye with new attire resemblance to the Border Tribe and Ayo looks to have been promoted in ranks in the Dora Milaje. But, with this specualtion, I'm also not opposed to Okoye taking the mantle. Another reason I think it's Shuri in the suit is because (other than being a comic accurate next Black Panther) if you look closely at the right arm (3:52) you can kinda see an upgraded (slimmer, subtle) version of her Panther gauntlets, the gold teeth are a bit visible and blends with the overall suit design.
Nakia is my personal choice for the new Black Panther (of the franchise overall, for many reasons), but I'm also interested in seeing Shuri get her shine and turn up.

The first time I saw this, it was emotional enough. Each time I've seen it after, it's been more and more gut wrenching.
This teaser trailer made me feel really emotional, and I know that I'll be crying from beginning to end when this movie releases this November.
If the theaters don't have tissues available, I'll be so surprised.
Antman 3 comes out before Guardians 3, so that trailer is probably a ways away.
Also the Secret Invasion series. So yeah, I don't expect to see a trailer for Guardians 3 until at least the Fall.

This trailer did a cool audio trick. If you pay attention, in the beginning there's a "heartbeat" in the sound track. And then it slowly speeds up until by the end it's beating fast. It gets your own heart to slowly match it and make your heart pound!
