Heyyyy lovelies, I am beyond excited to be making another Silicone Mould. This time .. it is Puppy related. I just had to ! haa We got our new puppy 3 weeks ago and it has just transformed our lives in so many ways. Mainly sleep deprivation.
I am using two methods to make my own DIY Moulds and one of these ethods has to be the easiest way to make a silicone mould. Easiest way in the world. It is such a simple two step process. I will be using this method in future when I have pieces small enough to mould. This Easy DIY Silicone mould DIY is not new information to you all I am sure. It is just a new method to me. I hope you enjoy how easy this DIY silicone mould is to make.
in the next video I will be using Jesmonite to make his Tag. *Not Epoxy Resin*. We have already had a tag on his collar and made sure he cannot chew it. he cannot access it or reach it with his mouth. Jesmonite is Non Toxic but still, you would nit want your puppy to be able to chew it.

The silicone is tacky because it’s reacting to the vinyl.
All Cricut vinyl reacts to silicone
Well except for the strong grip
Ahhhhh thankyou so much.. thats really great to know. I will use tape next time 😍😍😍
I always watch your videos! Big fan boy 👍🤓 Getting silicone into those holes is always a chore. I once had two dogs called Rolex and Timex. Well they were watch dogs 🤔
🤣🤣🤣🤣 Chris thankyooooo loved your Foamex method game changer ! Watch dogs 🤣🤣🤣
Resin Ace! Where have you been? I miss your videos!
🤣🤣🤣⌚🐕
You said Resin Ace and my ears perked up. I miss your videos! I hope you are doing well!!
Love your videos too Claire. You have made me want to try Jesmonite so much.. I tracked it down and its going to be delivered soon (USA) so excited! Love your happy enthusiasm 😊
Even though it’s an older video this was excellent. I love watching your videos your so uplifting.
Brilliant Claire 👏👏👏👏looking forward to seeing you use them 😀😀😀 great video ❤️❤️
Thank yooooooo girl ❤️❤️
These were so fun and satisfying to watch and toooo cute love your little ❤️ 💕 💗 💖 ♥️ 😍 ❤️
Thankyou sooooo much lovely ❤️❤️❤️
Wonderful! Love the cookie cutter method so I will have to get some! Don't worry about the foam and the hot glue. That doesn't matter. The finished product is what's most important. (I used a lot of hot glue too!). Lovely bones and I look forward to seeing you make the tags!!!
Really interesting Claire,great job. 🐶🐶🐶
Thanks Dad ❤️😍
Hi Claire, I used transfer tape for the bottom of my mould and it turned out really good with no sticky on them, hope that helps x
Ohhhhhh Em ... I hadn't thought of using transfer tape thank you soooo much 🙌🙌 tonight's video I still had problems ... I used sticky back plastic .. same issue !
I so so appreciate your help thankvyooooo ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ gonna try it
@@ClairesCraftyCorner no problem glad I could help xx
@@Emandcraft 🙌🙌 thank yooooo
Cute cut outs!
Great moulds Claire
Thankyooooo Melissa ❤️❤️❤️
The 'seepage' is called flashing :) That cookie cutter method is absolute genius, I've seen people suggest it but never a full visual like this. Might have to revisit some of my moulds with a cookie cutter :) thank you!
Ohhhh Olivia thank you so much ! I had no idea that it had a name ... so helpful thank you ❤️ yeh it is so much easier than methods I've tried in the past
Love how these turned out, look forward to seeing what you do with them, see at next video x🥰
Thankyou so much Vivienne ❤️❤️ cannot wait xx
You can use Legos to make whatever size and shape you need for your blanks too and stick it to vinyl or contact paper also like the cookie cutter
Hey Claire, I love your work and videos. I know cornstarch helps dry out silicone, so maybe a little across the sticky top will stop that tackyness. Then you can wash mold. Lmk if it works! Good luck, congrats, and God bless
Heyyyyy goldie .. that is so helpful thankyoooo ❤️❤️ I will try get some 😍😍
@@ClairesCraftyCorner Cool,lmk if that works
@@goldiepalmer8565 will do ❤️❤️
Very cool. I've always wanted to make my own molds. This seems very easy as well. Thanks Claire!
Amazing I hope you do ❤️❤️ such an easy thing to do .. but I felt so intimidated by it when I started x
Hiya Claire these molds are super cute can’t wait to see the finished product, I hope we see your fur baby modelling it tfs Jax 🥰x
Thankyoooo Jacqueline yeh im hoping he will model it for us all 😍😍😍
Fab video and you were not wrong, 2 v easy ways!
Thanks girl ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Great vid, I have made silicone moulds before and struggled with it but you've cleared some issues up for me. 👍🏻
Thankyou so much Dawn ❤️❤️ glad it helped xx
Super cute. I can’t wait to see what you make with these adorable molds
Thankyoooo Kelly ❤️❤️ excited xx
Love these Claire - I have found that sometimes leaving them out to dry where they are sticky will let that part cure later. also... I use a cuticle trimmer to trim my molds and I'm terrible with scissors. LOL... Cannot wait to see you use these. XOXO
That silicone looks so smooth I bet it make a good stress reliever 😂 loved this can’t wait to see what you make with them 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Ohhhhh it's sooo smooth babe ... best I've used ! Like it really would too 😍😍😍
Yes, I would guess that the adhesive on the vinyl messed with the silicone, but I'm glad it seems to be useable anyway. I have some transfer tape I thought I'd try, bu otherwise, hot glue companies will never go broke around me. I also have collected some acrylic blanks for this purpose, and even some wooden ones. Thought maybe I could sand and glaze them to make molds. Love what you did here. I haven't found tags suitable for my cats yet.😀
yeh the tape definitely interfered .. I also used the green tape but that has the same result so I think sellotape is best for me .. i have ordered him a proper engraved tag now to abide by the law here lol
Love these! I would use those giant ones to make christmas tree ornaments ❤ My dad loves to have ornaments with all of the pets names on them, so I've made quite a few, but never with resin. Now I'm inspired!
Ohhhh what a fantastic idea .. thankyou so much absolutely brilliant 😍😍😍 that's so nice that your Dad does that 😍😍
HI Claire, loved your molds you are so clever & creative thanks for sharing 👍❤️ ( Claire do you ever make silicone molds & sell them ??? ) Lin
Heyyyy Lin ... I haven't ever sold a mould yet ( I don't think they're good enough) lol but it's something I would love to do
Hey awesome video Claire those wee bones came out really well.
Thanks so much Moray 🙌🙌 they worked great !
Brilliant video would a piece of perspex work for the bottom instead of vinyl? X
Heyyyyy Joanne .. thankyoooo ❤️ yes perspex would work if your item was heavy with no risk of it moving at all. X
Oh Claire I just used two whole bottles of silicone trying to make a mould of a pretty jar and my base mould leaked everywhere so now I have to get more and start again! Looking for the foamex board is pvc foam board the same thing? Thanks.
You said you had a sticky surface, so did I. Is there anything you can get rid of the sticky with? I couldn’t de-sticky mine x
Heyyyyy Dab .. yeh I now know the Vinyl is not compatible ... but it still works fine. Probably will dry the top out in time. ❤️
Such a pity my cookie cutters aren't deep enough to use like that but I have a few sheets of foamex at the ready for mould making!
ResinAce is king of making moulds with foamex and make it look so easy every time.
I agree he us .. makes it look easy 🤣🤣 my hot glue was just all over the place haaaa so glad you have it .. such a great board x
wasnt it clear tape u first opened now its white?
need a bear for the biggest even our male Leonberger would be to big even when he's full grown. This is what I needed though as need to make some new for all 3 of mine Leonberger, German shepherd and collie.
Ohhhh Lisa 😱😱 wow 3 .. thats incredible honestly would need a bear 🤣🤣🤣 ... Hubby wanted a Collie ... he had a Collie for 18 years .. and after 2 years stuck in the house there was no way we were fit enough for a Collie 🤣🤣🤣
@@ClairesCraftyCorner I'm lucky our was a farm dog that at 8 weeks knew would never make a working dog. He's the laziest dog I've ever had most of time his brain is somewhere else so although he's a big collie at 31kg he's super easy and tends to find a sun spot on a bed to sleep in. My shepherd weighs less but definitely see her more especially when giddy. We've a big garden and got a Moor and canal close so take and let them run energy off or kick them into the garden when zoomies happen 🤣
would be great for ornaments, but very bad for a dog tag since resin would be toxic for dogs. They chew on everything, especially puppies!
Ahhhh yes .. I won't be using Resin never planned to ❤️❤️❤️
