    Heyyyy lovelies, I am beyond excited to be making another Silicone Mould. This time .. it is Puppy related. I just had to ! haa We got our new puppy 3 weeks ago and it has just transformed our lives in so many ways. Mainly sleep deprivation.
    I am using two methods to make my own DIY Moulds and one of these ethods has to be the easiest way to make a silicone mould. Easiest way in the world. It is such a simple two step process. I will be using this method in future when I have pieces small enough to mould. This Easy DIY Silicone mould DIY is not new information to you all I am sure. It is just a new method to me. I hope you enjoy how easy this DIY silicone mould is to make.
    in the next video I will be using Jesmonite to make his Tag. *Not Epoxy Resin*. We have already had a tag on his collar and made sure he cannot chew it. he cannot access it or reach it with his mouth. Jesmonite is Non Toxic but still, you would nit want your puppy to be able to chew it.

    The silicone is tacky because it’s reacting to the vinyl.
    All Cricut vinyl reacts to silicone

    Wonderful! Love the cookie cutter method so I will have to get some! Don't worry about the foam and the hot glue. That doesn't matter. The finished product is what's most important. (I used a lot of hot glue too!). Lovely bones and I look forward to seeing you make the tags!!!

    You can use Legos to make whatever size and shape you need for your blanks too and stick it to vinyl or contact paper also like the cookie cutter

    Hey Claire, I love your work and videos. I know cornstarch helps dry out silicone, so maybe a little across the sticky top will stop that tackyness. Then you can wash mold. Lmk if it works! Good luck, congrats, and God bless

    Love these Claire - I have found that sometimes leaving them out to dry where they are sticky will let that part cure later. also... I use a cuticle trimmer to trim my molds and I'm terrible with scissors. LOL... Cannot wait to see you use these. XOXO

    Yes, I would guess that the adhesive on the vinyl messed with the silicone, but I'm glad it seems to be useable anyway. I have some transfer tape I thought I'd try, bu otherwise, hot glue companies will never go broke around me. I also have collected some acrylic blanks for this purpose, and even some wooden ones. Thought maybe I could sand and glaze them to make molds. Love what you did here. I haven't found tags suitable for my cats yet.😀

    • @ClairesCraftyCorner
      @ClairesCraftyCorner  2 года назад +1

      yeh the tape definitely interfered .. I also used the green tape but that has the same result so I think sellotape is best for me .. i have ordered him a proper engraved tag now to abide by the law here lol

    need a bear for the biggest even our male Leonberger would be to big even when he's full grown. This is what I needed though as need to make some new for all 3 of mine Leonberger, German shepherd and collie.

      @@ClairesCraftyCorner I'm lucky our was a farm dog that at 8 weeks knew would never make a working dog. He's the laziest dog I've ever had most of time his brain is somewhere else so although he's a big collie at 31kg he's super easy and tends to find a sun spot on a bed to sleep in. My shepherd weighs less but definitely see her more especially when giddy. We've a big garden and got a Moor and canal close so take and let them run energy off or kick them into the garden when zoomies happen 🤣

    would be great for ornaments, but very bad for a dog tag since resin would be toxic for dogs. They chew on everything, especially puppies!
