A suggestion for a theme for a future Yu-Gi-Oh video: show them a set of Fusion Material monsters and have them pick out what Fusion they make.

Worm's have a monster for every letter of the alphabet.
Potato & Chips the card is just an advertisement for the Japanese snack food company Calbee, hence why the flavor text is in quotes (it's literally an advertisement). The monster also appears in the artwork of Farm Delivery and Soul Unseal.
they're also just straight-up calbee's mascots, hence why they have such a different vibe
it's essentially like if yugioh did a collab w/ sanrio and printed a hello kitty card as part of it
or like if Yugioh did a collab with Power Pros and printed a version of the Harpie Lady Sisters holding a player with a Kaiba Corporation hat
Worms in the lore are a bunch of aliens and they’re all named with alphabet as the theme, hence 26 worms
Scrambled Egg resulted in one of the funniest outcries in Yugiohs history. In the Ocg following the release of link monsters several archetypes got their own ones in 3 dedicated sets called Link Vrains packs, however the tcg never got these dedicated sets, several of the cards being integral for either their Archetype or summoning method to function.The cards from these sets were instead distributed over several main sets in the tcg, probably to raise the value of some very lackluster sets and get people to buy them instead of just buying specific cards. So when Scrambled Egg, a useless card summoning a useless monster that looked more like an aprils fools joke than a legit card, got printed instead of one of these monsters, people got angry.
I was thinking about this a while ago. All the cards we could have gotten instead i hate a lot like Halq or the others so like konami was correct in giving us scrambe egg.
Scramble Egg is a card that nowadays would be thrown into Animation Chronicle, which often have a lot of premiere cards considered of spotty quality due to how strictly they stick to gimmicky situational anime effects over making something more functional for the card game.
Explossum looks like a Tapir because it is one, the Japanese name was Bakudan (Baku means Tapir, Bakudan is bomb).
For the Worms, there's 26 because there's one for each letter of the alphabet. I think the lore is that they're a species of alien invading yugioh world.
duel terminal lore. the Ally of Justice archetype were made to fight against them. that's their effects work on light monsters

All the earlier Duel Terminal archetypes were trash along with the story of just being 1 massive convoluted mess that went 1 "bad" archetype trying to take over to the next repeatedly for years
I gotta say, I love most of the Duel Terminal stuff since I grew up playing them in tag force, but they just never fkin stop getting one world ending cataclysm after the other. You get numb to them after watching yet another Gishki or Gusto get corrupted or die
9:49 - The art is actually 100% appropriate. Fusion monsters combine 2 or more together to make something else. This card involves Fusion monsters that get destroyed (hence the Graveyard). When that happens, you choose one of the Fusion materials used to make it (hence the 3 cards in front of the tombstone) to summon back as if it were *"branching"* off from the original monster (hence the name). It's also happening right after the monster is being destroyed, implying an urgent attempt to recover something from a loss, hence the exclaimation mark.
20:09 - Some of them are probably based on worms like the IRL freaky tubifex worm colonies but they're mostly just aliens because that's what they are in the lore. They couldn't be called _"Alien_ Worms" because there was already an "Alien" archetype, so anything that was meant to support Aliens could also support Worms and Konami doesn't like cross-archetypal naming conventions because they make balancing cards even more difficult.
little lore drop: worms are either used to specify well a worm like creature or its part of an arquetype called worms (which you can know because all of them are reptille types and also cuz every single one of their names start with a letter of the alphabet from A to Z) that in lore are an invasive alien species that needed the union of all factions of the world to fend off , machines that are built only to destroy them and could only be completely defeated after a legendary sealed ice dragon froze the entire planet.(note: the ice dragon thing was for another threat my bad)

Potato & Chips is a card they literally released as a promotional card inside packs of potato chips. The card is a literal advertisement for a specific brand of chips.

Explossum is definitely a Tapir - presumably the pun in the Japanese version is something about "Bakuhatsu" (explosion) and "Baku" (tapir).

Like jar of greed, greed jar, jar of avarice, and a made up one maybe jar of Prosperity since that has a pot card but not a jar one so include pot of Prosperity in the pot round to try and trick them. I think a great idea would be a type quiz, unless i misses thar video, like having 4 'dragon' or dragonic monsters, but one is not a dragon type, or the opposite, 3 fake dragons. Dragons are obviously the best for this but I'm sure others could be found.

The green man on Fine has is Goblin of Greed. He's got a monster card, but is mostly known for appearing on a lot of generic spell and trap cards like Upstart Goblin.
They're Worms but they're an alien species and the name is most likely chosen as "Worms" because someone at Konami is REALLY into Kamen Rider Kabuto specifically. There's an entire archetype dedicated exclusively to Kamen Rider Kabuto whereas the rest of the Kamen Rider franchise references tend to be either one-offs (like Dokurorider) or crammed into Masked HERO.
Explossum is a pun on tapir in Japanese so it's just the localizers being weird.
I think Boompoline is kind of a forced pun even in Japanese but it is still a pun.

I saw noone anwsering why the Worms are called that. They are called Worms because they are alien invaders that come from a Worm hole, as seen in the Worm Call spell card. Honestly a boring answer I know, but that's the main reason.
I do personally like how gross and unsettling they look, as it makes them look more alien.

Fun fact the worm archetype has 26 for each letter of the alphabet for example worm apocalypse is the A worm opera is the O and so on, so the 2nd word in the worm cards name tells you what letter it is

The Worms are a species of alien invaders in the lore (known for looking weird as hell) with basically no relation to worm, the animal.
The reason why there's a lot of them is because there's one for each letter of the alphabet (Apocalypse, Opera and Ugly standing in for A, O and U respectively)
They're what prompted the four original tribes of Duel Terminal to build the Ally of Justice weapons.

You are very right that Explossum appears to be a tapir. Or more specifcally, the mythical, dream-eating baku that also inspired the Pokemon Drowzee.
And you see, bakudan is Japanese for bomb, so baku-don is a pun on tapir and bomb. It got lost in translation, so they just decided an opossum is close enough to a tapir....
I think the three “Rosemary” cards from the Aroma archetype would be easy to think of a 4th for.

I'm guessing Slushy is fake, but for some hyper specific reason like the actual card has two exclamation marks after it, or uses an ie. I think Slushy is a brand, I'm not sure...I know Slush Puppy is, but I'm thinking that could have different regional names that could mean Slushy isn't a possible card due to copyright.
