I've got a question for you. We had a severe hail storm. The following day 10 roofers came to our house saying "free estimate, let us put a sign in your yard, we do the best work with free shingle upgrades!" None of them will give me a price, they all say, "when you get your insurance estimate, call me and we'll go through it together." It sounds like they're obviously just trying to get the most money they can and insurance jobs pay more because they don't have to be competitive, they just get whatever insurance pays me.
Can't I just tell them, "I don't have insurance, how much will you charge me to fix my roof?"
Also... I've watched some videos and we had OC and paid for Class 4. We still need a new roof. One told us GAF is the best, another told us Malarkey is the best, everyone is telling us OC is the worst. Thoughts? I live in a severe weather area with golf ball + size hail.

Hey Dmitry.. I live in Central Florida and have been watching your videos as I am in need of a new roof. One of your videos you mentioned you enjoy reviewing quotes and providing advice on which contractor to go with.. where do I send the info for you to take a look and provide some tips?

We get 550-600$ on 4/12’s and 700-950$ on 6/12’s and up. We’re a bigger company out of Ohio as well

Opinions are just opinions. Find out for yourself. Through experience you are going to get burned a couple times. Just learn from your mistakes. And always remember don't pay attention to. What the other companies are doing. Focus on your own business. You will be profitable. And won't have to change your business name every 5 years. Be safe and take care of your family.

I bid against companies that did the job for what my materials alone cost. I wondered how they did this.

Have someone you know ask for an estimate on their house. Get the bid.

really. Walmart doesn’t know what Amazon sells for? You should know if you are too low or too high.
