What an amazing performance! I know Ogawa cheekily calls these Quadratum sessions Jill's opportunity to show off -- and she does! -- but in all honesty, *all* of these musicians are tremendously talented. As always, Fumiya is outstanding on the drums, and Jinya and Ogawa are more than just supporting actors. Nevertheless, the main focus is Jill -- I know that's where my attention always goes! Just fantastic!

THAT. WAS. PURE. PERFECTION!!!! Every musician played their respective parts FLAWLESSLY!!! The violin filling in for the keyboards in the unisons almost seems completely natural. The synchronicity and timing were simply sublime! I could listen to these virtuosos play ALL DAY!

While Yuki/Shiren have always written strings/violin parts in his songs from the very beginning, it is indeed very good to have Jill in the band who can actually perform pretty much everything they wrote. Having the strings being performed on actual instrument by a human is something that I've always hoped the band could get since he started the band. Good job Shiren and Fuki for managing to get these amazing band members. Jinya, Jill, Fumiya and Ogawa, all of them are amazing!

この曲の難しさは、まずこの曲をやろうと言ったときにこの曲の魅力を理解していて賛同するメンバがいること、全員が挫折せずに練習を細部までやりきってくること、合わせたときに客に見せられるレベルになるほど全員が高度な演奏技術を持ってること、いろんな条件があってライブでやるバンドはほぼないんだよね。バイオリンに変換するだけでもすごい苦労があったと思う。このバンド知らなかったけど、メンバーに恵まれてると思う。

勿論、曲のトリビュートとしての完成度もすごいが、序盤のバイオリンでもってかれる。
ライブにおける再現度とアレンジ、そこに交じる演者の温度感ってすごく重要ですよね。
だって、この曲はアンキモさんのライヴでやってるけどDreamTheaterの曲で、この曲で盛り上がるというより、自身の練習曲であったりその参考にすることが絶対的に多い中で、モニターを通して感情を動かされるって本当に凄いことだと思うから。
(アンキモさん目当てで会場にいる人でプレイヤーじゃない人は「ポカーン」ってなる類の曲ですよね)
