      I must say after it was pointed out to me that if I changed my perspective to which way I turned the handle and not the ring, it would seem more initiative. I've been doing that and that did make it more intuitive. Thanks for watching!

    My suggestion on your comment about no contrast markings in the socket set. Remove all the tools, and with a black wax marker, rub it into the recessed areas. Wipe off excess. Put tools back in.

    It is a great tool, I bought one to use at work and I love it. I wish my job would buy these, they currently buy the 11-1 screwdriver, and all the different nut drivers but not this. So I just went out and bought it and have not regrated it once.

    I think the direction you turn the ratcheting impact 11/1 screwdriver is a matter of perspective. You mentioned if you turn the collar right it makes it loosen fasteners. But if you decide to hold the collar instead of the handle, then you are turning the handle right to set it to tighten fasteners.

    • @projectpinehills
      @projectpinehills  8 месяцев назад +2

      That’s a great point actually. I still think that having it go in the direction you are applying force would engineer out changing the ratcheting mode by accident. Thanks for watching and commenting! 👍

    Klein warranties and sells replacement parts for nearly everything they sell, you just have to wait for it. Otherwise, find an electrical supplier near you who carries some of them in stock granted, I'm fortunate enough to live near half a dozen supply houses who carry tools and some replacement parts in stock. Thanks to Lowe's now having a contract with Klein, I've taken a broken tool bought at another store and direct replaced the tool as they warranty Klein products.

    I do like this set, but one dilemma I’ve always came across. When bolting down unistrut the sockets are to wide to fit between the strut to get to the nut, that’s where you standard deep socket pulls through. So I won’t buy this because then I need both sets, so because these sockets are so wide, they don’t fit between unistrut. Big flaw in my opinion.

    • @projectpinehills
      @projectpinehills  7 месяцев назад

      That’s the challenge with pass through sockets. Sometimes they don’t fit as well as standard. Thanks for sharing and watching! 👍

    I am not sure but isn't it a "Ratcheting" tool which implies when you turn it a certain way, that is the way is going to "ratchet" ?

    • @projectpinehills
      @projectpinehills  4 месяца назад +1

      I know what you mean... that make sense. I took one commenters advice and I just hold the ratchet setting ring and then turn the handle the direction I want to go. So now it's more intuitive to me. Thanks for watching!

    I have never liked ratcheting screwdrivers. If I have to use one, I lock it in manual mode. Do any of you who work for a living actually use them?

    • @projectpinehills
      @projectpinehills  7 месяцев назад +1

      I don't like ratcheting screwdrivers either, I guess because you are constantly fiddling with changing the ratcheting feature between 3 modes. But I have enjoyed using this one and even used it recently with a 1/4" socket adapter. I'm still trying it out, but it appears to be the first ratcheting screwdriver that I will use regularly because you can use the handle to ratchet any kind of bit. Thanks for Watching! 👍

      I have links in the video description and check the electrical isle. One store had a couple of the socket sets out but the Ratcheting 11 in 1 showed in stock on the Lowes app but was not out. Turned out it was in top stock (in one of the pallet racks in an isle). I was told that items will remain in top stock until the do a store reset. I've since seen it in the electrical Isle. Thanks for watching and commenting.

      Just went to Lowe’s this morning and I was going to pick up this socket set and I was at the self check out and it wouldn’t let me buy it so I had to then go to the helpdesk to pay for it and then they couldn’t sell it to me because ultimately there has been a recall on this product

      Ok update….. I did find the screwdriver and got one. I had the 11 in 1 non ratcheting and got the ratcheting one. I also found the peg that the socket set should be on but it was empty. Still not sure why it’s not showing up on the Lowes app I have on my phone.
