I really appreciate the excellent reviews that you present. I also like the fact that you are very fair/unbiased when comparing tools for review! I wish more tool reviewers were as ethical as you are! Thank you for taking the time to create these excellent videos! I am just curious--do you have a formal engineering background? Your attention to detail is outstanding!
Thank you appreciate that. Yes I do have an engineering background. I should have noted that bevel edges on small sockets like 1/4” may result in less surface contact with small shallow screw heads. Thats probably why Malco doesn’t bevel the edge like a regular mechanics socket. Thanks for watching! 👍
Have them both. I prefer the Klein because the magnet seems to hold the screws better and is easier to clean shavings off compared to the Milwaukee recessed magnet. The flat edge of the Klein sockets hold a nut/screw head longer and don't cam-out like Milwaukee. Milwaukee bits also rust fairly quickly.
Milwaukee for power tools in 2015 when the Fuel first came out... The newer model Ridgid and Dewalts are stronger and last longer than fuels in 2025. Battery "Technology" even helped Ryobi Close the Gap... Milwaukee needs to make their next Line Up already to be the best again. I’m a hvac tech and love the Klein 7 in 1 driver. I use it in an impact driver daily. It sees extremely heavy use. My only gripes are that the magnets break on the Klein over time and if the socket accidentally isn’t fully inserted in the spline it will get stuck sometimes so severely that you have to put it in a vise and use a punch to get it out. Has happened to me twice. The Milwaukee will not do that. I’m going to get the Milwaukee and try it out.
I like these types of tools, going to try them out and see if they hold up. anytime I can save space is a good thing, now I can retire my 2 nut driver sets to my garage tool box and gain some space in my truck.
I have them both. I like them both equally. The driver bit really didn’t matter much to me as I figured I’d lose it anyway since there’s not a place to put it lol
Right. I always remove the bit. I’m not sure having a bevel edge on the 1/4 and 5/16 sockets is a good thing as they come into less contact with shallow screw heads. Thanks for watching!
These tools are so handy especially as a tech..at work we bought a bunch of these threw away the handle. We couple thise with a klien 12n1. We carry around a pair of channel locks, Cresent rlwrenches and a combination needlenose/wire cutter and that's all we carry around. Unless the job calls for something bigger
Actually I like your idea of combining the Klein Tools 7-in-1 and the 14-in-1 tools for a single complete package, you should approach Klein with that idea. Nice video
It's a shame to compare Klein with Milwaukee at Hand Tools , power tools yes Milwaukee is better , but hand tools huge difference in quality , the Steel they use in Screwdrivers, wire stripers pliers etc. is far superior to most of the brands , i haven't seen a professional electrician with Milwaukee hand tools yet . Klein is undisputable when it comes to electricians pro grade hand tools .

Milwaukee wins in that department too. I am not a fanboy of either brand, I will buy the best tool on the market on not care where it came from.
I already own the old style klein without the 9/16 with the hvac handle so i can have the bit storage and use the 1/4" as a bit driver it isnt the best bit holder but saves you from walking over to get a bit driver if you just have to drive a few screws if youre doing more than a couple screws its worth the walk cuz you get frustrated constantly sinking screws with the klein nut driver bit holder
Tried to purchase Klein 14 in 1 with 7 in 1 bits from your store to support your channel but couldn't find it. Did find it in general Amazon search and bought one. Thanks for the tips
I noticed that though the milwaukee bits dont go on the klein shaft, all the klein bits go on the klein shaft, which includes the larger flip set they make that goes up to 3/4 so you can use all these bits with the milwaukee nut driver
It seems klien keeps coming out later with a better set upas I have the original klien with the 11/32 bit. But now have to get the latest set that goes to 3/4 inch. As a FF it is nice to carry this in my bunker gear or to keep in our drivers on the truck and not have to worry about looking for a bunch of sockets in a tool box
epoxy putty to add the flange feature...epocy is also a great way to smooth the armature for the tip eyelet on a fishing rod..so it does not catch fishing line..... in handle 1/4 hex bit storage plz!
Thank you, I always feel like it's easy to miss something or leave something out. I do think the 1/4" and 5/16" Klein sockets are a better design (because the sockets are not beveled) for shallow headed screws which don't have a lot of material to get a good bite on. Thanks for watching!
I have the Klein and my biggest peeve is that the 1/4-5/16 cannot be stored on the shaft when using the other sockets. Is the Milwaukee version identical in that flaw?
@@projectpinehills There's something in the middle of the socket preventing it from sliding all the way on the shaft. Say I wanted to use the 3/8 socket for multiple nuts/bolts, where does one store the 1/4 - 5/16 socket? I still love the tool. I just think there's a design flaw in the ability to store that one socket. mine ends up in the bottom of the pouch. Are you able to store the smallest socket on the shaft when using another socket on the driving end?
I’ve been noticing Milwaukee making clones of different manufacturers tools. It’s pretty sad imo. I’ve been using Klein as plumber for a while and love their tools. Probably my favorite tool brand
my problem with the kleins is the sockets slide off the hex shank way too easily . Iv had the sockets fly right off just pulling the tool out or whiping around with it too fast.
Ive gotten both versions of the Klein and both of the magnets were terrible. I understand about cleaning them. I ended up getting a malco 3/8 7/16 bit instead. You can beat Malcos quality.

So the best model would be to get both and use the Milwaukee sockets on the Klein shaft and Handle only cause it has the quick insert and the Milwaukee some how doesn’t
I think the biggest benefit to the Milwaukee is the flange that keeps you from knocking sockets off. I think not having a bevel on the smallest socket sizes is a good thing because you come into more contact with shallow screw heads.
Milwaukee should stick to power tools. Recently at work, I used my coworkers wire strippers ( brand new) it stripped the wires, but, when I went to grab my Klein strippers from my tools and stripped the same wire it did with ease. A lot better than the brand new Milwaukee. My Klein are almost 5yrs old and did better than a brand new pair of Milwaukee strippers.
Look honey milwaukee copied another American brand? What? No they got nothing to do with milwaukee, it's made in China.. i know, i know but klein is American at least.
For the smallest socket, I think the Klein works better because it makes more contact with shallow headed screws because there is no bevel. Thanks for watching!

The milwaukre csnt use 1/4 in bits on any functional way and the 15 in 1 shank is only held in by a magnet rarher than the detent collar. Absolutely awful.
