- I built this thing out in the Azores around 2001. I pulled it off the shelf today because we were wondering how much carrier a simple balanced modulator leaves behind, and how much is eliminated by the crystal filter. A DSB rig is a good way to test this because it has no filter. There is quite a bit of carrier even after the balanced modulator.
It was great to have a contact with this old rig. thanks to Gene AB9GK for the QSO. - Наука
Very nice. Good audio. And it is in a box too!
Still work 23 years good job.
Good job Bill, nice rig. I still have all of my DSB rigs and they all work.
Really nice!!!, Scott bowen M0KJZ
Sounds great Bill!
Looking inside and seeing the o-scope probe in place while the radio was on the air reminded me of neurosurgery where the patient is awake and talking while the surgeon probes different brain regions soliciting feedback. Sure, ham radio isn't neurosurgery, but it's not too far at times. Also, you already have rocket science covered.
