This is a great little setup, especially if you dont want a camera watching like some other brands have. Before the commercial versions became popular, I did a DIY version of this using Hyperion-NG on a Raspberry Pi, and I have enjoyed using that and don't have a reason to upgrade to any commercial version because it just works, but for people wanting an out of the box experience, this kit and similar ones are a great option. I sometimes find that in action type shows, I have to turn the the brightness down on the LED Strip t give a more subtle experience when scenes change quickly.
Pretty much on the same page. Works great you can DIY on the budget but the ultimate viewing experience will be down to your preference, settings and how you have your TV mounted. Clearly I don't have the right setup haha :)
Thanks for the video. I have a question that you might be able to answer: How can I watch my Smart TV apps via the Fantasy 3 Box with background lighting? Everything that is plugged in via HDMI works perfectly (PC, Playstation etc) and is also recognised in the app, but the TV apps (Smart TV apps) are not synchronised. I have connected the Fantasy Box with HDMI TV Out to the TV, but somehow I have no signal from the TV to the box. Thank you in advance.
Because the TV has smarts built in.. The hdmi signal never goes through the box. You'd have to use a 3rd party TV box or find way to route the hdmi out of TV to the litmi box and back again
I can’t figure out how to get it to sync with my tv. I have a Samsung QN85C and I don’t know what to do. I’ve plugged in the power cord and the led cord but as far as the hdmi cord goes I don’t know where it goes. Do I need another hdmi cord for the tv? Please help!
To use this you need to feed the signal from source (let's say a PlayStation) then connect this to the box.. And from box to your TV. The box needs to see the data flowing through it to work
Is anyone able to help? I’m using this Lytmi Fantasy 3 with my Series X, and it plays things like Netflix, Apple TV, and Amazon Video just fine, but every time I try to play a game I get a message that says, “weak or no signal”. I only get this message when I try to play a video game. I never got this message until I hooked up this Lytmi so I believe the Lytmi is the issue somehow. Does anyone know why I would be having this problem and how to fix it? Also, I have a Hisense U8H TV, if it’s relevant. Thanks in advance.
@@notenoughtech It's because I have a 43 inch TV and not a 50 or above. And so i'm trying to figure out how to fit it behind my tv So I ended up making a wave with the lights on the top and on the bottom, hiding them behind other things
Just install my fantasy 3 and really desappintingthe cec function was really cheap, impossible to switch between source when i woke up à source. Lytmi told me the source must be off and not in stand by, but the Philips hue sync box (3 years old) do this without any problem. Moreother the led strips can't be use to light your room with scene. The lytmi app Just don't have this ability and if you want to try it, you must use smartlife app, but you can't control brightness or scene so really disapointing ability. Must be use with the app and so with your smartphone. The price is just flower than Philips hue sync box but the possibility was really lower than the Philips one. Really disapointing cause for ambilight Yes the strip is really good but can't be use without the app or to light your room.... For me it was really a miss.....
I used tuya to setup light and I could use the typical bulb controls. The build in scenes were not compatible. I'm not sure about the input switching as I have 2 sources which don't do standby this way
@@notenoughtech I don't try tuya but i imagine the problem was the same cause google assistant to can't control brightness and scene..... Je really desappinting cause Philips sync box (tree years old) do this without problem (scene and hdmi switch for device on stanby mode)..... Lytmi update the box entry, the led but forget some really frustrating things (today many devices use standby by default like android box or console), made à gamer ambilight withoit this is really incredible..... Moreover the only solution lytmi can offert is to refund 15% of the prince..... (or return the product at my own cost to china (100$ of shopping) and refund only 70% of the price cause i open the box (the led already have is 3m double tape) so in this possibility i lost 180$ with the shopping.....) What size did you get and what size tv do you have? Trying to figure out sizing as I have read that going too big is a problem.

Btw there is no eARC/CEC support on the HDMI sync box for this which is a huge deal breaker.
Why people use the earc with sound bar and tv do no matter what device is playing your getting the same sound
@christopher: so your saying that the sound bar will not be able to change the volume level?
Does it work with a sound bar?
Yes as long as you can pass audio via HDMI
There is no eARC/CEC support on the HDMI sync box for this product.
Can you cut the wires
As in make the wires shorter? I wouldn't recommend it

If you decrease the number of pixels you will shift the light effects. The best way is to wave the strip in the middle
