I have this song as a demo with just George and Harry playing background guitars with Stevie singing lead. I saw The Easybeats in Sydney on their second ever live concert as this group. It was in Darlinghurst an inner Sydney suburb.
THANK YOU x 1000 for enhancing this song, one of my all-time faves from my high school days. Surprisingly, a lot of my fellow Boomers don't recall this hit.
I love it when you stereo split the vocals. Great music....one hit heat! Wow, there's things I'm hearing in this version that I've never heard before. Amazing mix.
An interesting footnote to this band ; George Young was the rhythm guitarist and co-writer of their songs.. He is the older brother, and the inspiration to his younger brothers Angus, and Malcom, who we know now as .....AC/DC .. Great job again, as usual my man !
Thanks to your superb enhancement, now I've got Friday On My Mind on my mind. Though I must say Fridays don't typically come with quite the same sort of heavy-breathing anticipation that they used to. :)
I have listened to a lot of rock music being posted on RUclips and for some strange reason many songs do not sound like the originals to my ears! Is it possible they have been doctored?

@@dr.OgataSerizawa The last performance of his that I saw, he got a standing ovation. That was in 2002. He sat on a stool (busted angle I think), his voice wasn't that great but he was there breathing. The audience was in tears. I attended his funeral.
Probably the saddest story of unrealized musical potential is theirs. The Easybeats were clearly more musically advanced than any of their counterparts from that era, including the Small Faces and the Stones. Unfortunately, they just couldn't get anyone to listen to them or play their songs on the airwaves. So, these Aussie lads just kept hanging out in London hoping to get discovered by a big name producer, but it never happened for them. Eventually, they lost their way creatively after listening to too many people trying to re-direct their prodigious talent. They would eventually return to their homeland of Australia and finish playing out their careers in relative obscurity while being relegated to the heap of One Hit Wonders.
In Australia they had at least 5 Top 10 hits (all originals) plus 3 hit LPs, Easy, It's 2 Easy, and Vol3, all original songs and all before Friday. They made the mistake in going to England instead of the USA. Stevie Wright had a monster hit in 1974 with "Evie parts 1, 2, and 3", a 10 minute long No.1 hit. Harry Vanda and George Young wrote many, many hits, and guided and produced ACDC. Look 'em up.
After listening to your brilliant take on The Raspberries - Go All The Way, I was really looking forward to this one. I can appreciate what you did but I think it sounds almost too polished. For me it lacks the rawness and urgency of the original mix. Perhaps I've been listening to the original version for too long.
Best song ever written!
This is the most clearest Version I have ever heard 👍 I can hear the voice vocals well.
This song gets me through the 5 day grind every week. I like the extra drum & tambourine parts!

Can you perhaps put it on RUclips .
There definitely seems to be a lot of interest around the band , ever since Stevie's sad passing .

Kenn, great job on one of my absolute favorite rock songs!!!!!! Instruments are very detailed!!!!!! THANKS!!!!
Wow! Friday ! here, back in the day....Cragburn, dance hall!
Wow, there's things I'm hearing in this version that I've never heard before. Amazing mix.

Outstanding! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 The drumming is amazing.
This is a mindblowing revision. It's so good I can't believe it. Thanks.
Glad you like it. All I did was fill in some empty spaces on each channel for a more balanced stereo sound. Kenn
I bought the original single and this sounds as good as that...much better than a cd and without scratches, thanks.
Brilliantly re mastered
Love Stevie and The Easybeats. An amazing amount of video You Tube on them.Way ahead of there time.
Super great sound !!!!!!
Good Grief, the improvement is stark. I love all of your work but this is your best!!! Thank you!!!

Every addition/augmentation/upgrade Kenn Wingle does on his postings here sound like they should had always been there.
You have outdone yourself this time, awesome clear sound.
WOW! I had heard or known about all the songs that you've uploaded, until this one. I wasn't even familiar with the group The Easybeats.
Such a good enhancement, Kenn, that you can actually make out the Australian accents of the singers. Good job.
Fantastic sound and fabulous images to compliment what a great package.
Haven't heard this in decades! Sounds great!
Wow!! Just WOW!!!
This is the best recording of this song that I've heard ! Great audio job. Thanks again for sharing your skills.
An interesting footnote to this band ; George Young was the rhythm guitarist and co-writer of their songs.. He is the older brother, and the inspiration to his younger brothers Angus, and Malcom, who we know now as .....AC/DC .. Great job again, as usual my man !
Interesting
This one song, trumps anything that the younger brothers ever produced.
And he And George Vanda became the Producers and Managers of AC/DC,too.

Kenn, you are what is described as flawless in execution.

The great version with the 5 o’clock whistle. I can’t find it.

Before The Easybeats there was Stevie . A pleasure to know .

even my old man looks good. lol
I like that line too.....
Friday nite date night 😊😊
I hear a double track of Steveies voice. The sng was recorded in one take. I imagine someone fiddled with it to create stereo. Great upload.
good fiddling.
Stevie…….what a dynamic front man!! One of the absolute best!

"Gotta Have MORE Tambourine!"
brilliant but still too short...
Clean...........
azcappra and crisp
Probably the hippest song from that era. So advanced it sounds like it could have been recorded today.
Another excellent job. I believe you slightly doubled the vocals. A slightly longer ending too. Sounds really good. EDB

Bring the tambourine out a little more, otherwise great!

...More Musically Advanced...Yeah Like Fuck !!!
They should have enjoyed greater fame than they did. A truly squandered talent.
Totally concur!!!
pls explain or are you just an ass?
this version makes the backing instruments (especially the bass and guitars) sound very thin....the original sounds better to me.

Not the original drums..
I agree…..it’s too clean.
