Clothing is never trash. There are plenty of services in most areas that recycle the textiles. Look up textile and fabric recycling in your area before you put any thing in a landfill. Thanks you 😌
Minimizing gets easier with time! I never would have thought I'd be down to as few clothing items or books that I have now, but I've gone through about 3-4 large clean outs and each time I declutter things that lived through each of the previous cycles!
Rose Robb that’s great to know! I think I’ll be decluttering more and more. I’m thinking I should schedule some future clean outs for a couple months from now!
Great video! To get rid of hangers, I'd eliminate the colored ones and only keep the white or black. That will look more uniform and help you eliminate hangers as you said.
Awesome! One thing I do is the ‘trash’ bag- I either cut up cloth or just put all the old socks, etc in the bag & clean w/them then toss them. Or use them for cleaning up spills or messes (I have pets). One last use before the trash bin!
I had a podcast or two playing during this process. Music got old after a while and I had to catch up with my favorite pop culture podcasters.. a little less educational than TEDx but it's my guilty pleasure :)
I was wondering what do you think about crypto currencies? Whether it is worth it or not? Sorry for being irrelevant to the video however it seems that crypto currencies are making its way to my country but when I read about it, financial analysts say it is not worth it and at the same time, I come across the success story of Erik Finman who is a bitcoin millionaire. So confusing! :S I know you must have a lot on your plate right now however I would be grateful if you could express you views on the subject.
My boyfriend and I are about to start a closet clean out and this helped so much to see! We don’t live together, we just decided it would be good for the both of us as individuals. You did a fab job! Can’t wait to watch some more vids!
Great job! If you’d like some more tips for minimizing I recommend KonMari, you can listen to her audiobook on youtube as well as the various lectures/q&a she has done. There are many vids out there from ppl going through it but I recommend listening straight from the source as many ppl don’t go by the book, so to speak. Or seemingly haven’t understood why you do certain steps. Like why sending/”gifting” things to family and friends is to be done sparingly, why you declutter first and organize later etc. It’s all in her book(-s nowadays) and vids. If you truly read them fully.
Your room is so pretty! Loving your channel and this video. I am also really interested in moving towards more of a "capsule" wardrobe but don't know where to even start! I would definitely love to see a video on how you approach that.
Thanks for watching Alyssa. And thank you! It has taken quite some time to curate the look I want for my bedroom, but I'm getting quite close these days. I will definitely be making a capsule video in the near future!
Thanks so much! I am presently clearing my closet mainly because I have no choice haha! Workers will be installing wood in the closet :-D This video will come in handy as soon as they're done!
Wow it was a hard job but you did it. I had a deep wardrobe cleaning before I move out from my parents’ home and now I end up with much less then before. Nevertheless I still have some pieces which I don’t wear or they don’t fit me anymore and for sure you inspired me to take care of it soon. Good luck with your minimalist journey :)
Hey ! If i may suggest : i never toss my clothes because H&M offers you to take them back and recycle them in exchange of a 15% discount coupon (at least in France). And for the rest, i donate or sale on Vinted
Wander Wealthy by Tess Wicks I don’t know if you’ve found out yet but I know the H&M accepts any brands of clothes to recycle, not just their own brand!
Great video....really enjoyed it...I’ll. Ever understand girls in shoes.,.ive never seen a girl and said, wow great shoes, but maybe it’s a girl vs girl competition us guys are unaware of.
Mariah She-Wolf it’s the master bedroom of my condo. Since I bought it, it’s made for me ;) but couples could comfortably fit in it with the double closets for sure!
Yes, my master bedroom, in general, is unnecessarily enormous for the size of my condo. It’s definitely made for a couple (probably more than even a couple needs!) but 2 closets can be a curse! I’ve felt so tempted to fill them. But not more! Thanks for watching!
I’m really curious as to how to take inventory of your donations to get it back in taxes? Could you possibly make a video to explain that. It would be really cool to find out. I feel not many people know about it! I’ve tried researching it but it’s really confusing. Great video!
Kelsey Sylvia 😂 #frugalgirlstruggles About 50% of my closet is stock full of hand-me-downs (I have an older sister and used to accept SO many free clothing items from old roommates!) Add on top of that how I used to save EVERYTHING! Now I’m working to a more minimalist lifestyle, including my wardrobe. Unfortunately, this is the result of 8 years of never cleaning out my closet and accepting way too many “freebies”.

Do you know if this would include shoes and accessory type items? I guess I should look it up, but I thought I'd ask if you knew. :)

"trash" i.e. shirts with stains or old socks, can still be used for cleaning as rags or dusting socks
Lisa - ohh what a great tip. Thanks for sharing!!

Brooke Flood I love this tip! Implementing as we speak!
That's awesome!!

Jessie Lawrence that’s a great idea! Can never have enough rags for cleaning!
I put on TEDx talks when I organize/declutter/clean! That way I get motivated or learn something new ;)

Cleaning out the closet is not fun but I have say watching this video on what steps you need.
Way to go!
I’m glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks so much! More coming soon!
That´s exciting !
Your voice is so soothing

Amazon! -- amzn.to/2hzJwBI (They didn't have the gold option when I bought mine, but I'm kinda digging it!)
Thanks so much! I am presently clearing my closet mainly because I have no choice haha! Workers will be installing wood in the closet :-D This video will come in handy as soon as they're done!

Thank you Cheryl!

Thanks for watching and leaving such a kind comment, Natalia! We can all use a little inspiration to declutter, that's for sure!

I never heard about that with H&M! I don't have many of their clothes but I am curious if that's the case in the U.S. thanks for sharing!
Wander Wealthy by Tess Wicks I don’t know if you’ve found out yet but I know the H&M accepts any brands of clothes to recycle, not just their own brand!
This really looks like my closet. I couldn’t believe I had so much and still had nothing to wear. Feels good watching this video
ECanadianBeauty it’s crazy how much piles up over time!
Great video....really enjoyed it...I’ll. Ever understand girls in shoes.,.ive never seen a girl and said, wow great shoes, but maybe it’s a girl vs girl competition us guys are unaware of.
stutzceo thanks for checking it out!
Is that room made for couples? Curious about the double closets.
Mariah She-Wolf it’s the master bedroom of my condo. Since I bought it, it’s made for me ;) but couples could comfortably fit in it with the double closets for sure!
What methods did you use to do minimalism closet clear out ?
I share the steps i took in the video. You can also check out my friend's blog post that i reference in the video liked in the description.
The fact that you have 2 closets kind of makes me sad about my tiny closet...but i love the video

I switch out my clothes by season. In the winter my summer dresses get put into a suitcase and switched next season.
You can donate hangers too
I need to do that!
I’m really curious as to how to take inventory of your donations to get it back in taxes? Could you possibly make a video to explain that. It would be really cool to find out. I feel not many people know about it!
I’ve tried researching it but it’s really confusing.
Great video!
Great question! I make a spreadsheet and hand it to my accountant. If i can find a place for it I'll make a video!
Wherever you donate ask for a tax receipt and then you fill that out on your taxes. I file with TurboTax and there’s that option.
Thank you. I'm going to stop buying!
Thanks for watching Myra!
girl ..why oh why did u purchase so many clothes???? I have 3 pair of shoes.

love the video, hate the music
She kinda sounds like Selena Gomez to me🍓
Great job!!
Thanks!
