Love the new format. Engaging and informative content, and it’s great to have such a variety of genres and different styles of presentation. Harry SO excited with his Eagles!
Just south of where I live is a small town on the north shores of Lake Erie, one of the Great Lakes, in Canada, Port Stanley. East of the Port is an area called Hawk Cliff. Thousands of raptors migrate through this area every fall....really, Thousands!!! I was approaching the area, a few years ago, trying to go to an area away from others. The cliff is a mud, rock and dirt cliff that is constantly being eroded by the lake. As I sat watching the kettling raptors I saw a large bird approaching from the west. It was moving quickly and with a tertiary glance through my binoculars I was excited to realize it was a Golden Eagle, a fairly infrequent raptor in our area. I was shooting with a Nikon D500 and a Sigma 150-600 mm Sport lens and the Eagle flew so closely that I was unable to frame it up, so I watched it fly by. As it passed my location, probably less than 30 feet away, it turned its head and we made eye contact. Both of us were unalarmed. Me taking in the magical scene and the Eagle enjoying the casual cruise along the shoreline. Ironically I had a Peaceful Easy Feeling, as sung by one of my favorite groups, The Eagles. It is truly incredible to see one of these birds and have an experience like that. Check out the website for Hawk Cliff in Ontario, Canada and you will be able to see the variety and numbers of raptors that pass through this area. I love your show and look forward to every episode. Thank-you!
Another thoroughly enjoyable episode. We visited Skye for 2 days in May of 2016 and all your show does is reinforce my desire to live there for 6 months to take full advantage of the beauty. I loved the piece on Golden Eagles with Harry Martin. It took be back to my youth when I helped band Golden Eagles here in Saskatchewan. I was 12-13 years old and small enough that two men with a rope tied around my waist to the nests. I was given a burlap sack to put over the eaglets heads and the bands. Of course they cautioned me to be careful. LOL. I only received one wound as an eaglet sank a claw into the back of my hand. Still have the scar over 50 years later. Sorry for the story but sometimes it is about more than the photograph.
I think the new two part format is much better that the one hour. It gives more time to understand what is being put out, especially for me an beginner. I loved the 2020 video's and made me get out more and play with my kit and even try Instagram for the first time. Looking forward to 2021 Photography online with the new format.
I really appreciate the dedication to craft on this channel. Marcus (and now Harry) have been huge inspirations for that lately. There seems to be thousands of landscape how-to's on RUclips that leave one with a somewhat eye-catching but forgettable photo because they focus on comping in what one didn't bother working hard enough to properly capture, like good light, sky, etc. It's continually refreshing and inspiring to see a holistic approach to the art of *photography* rather than to photography as digital art. And before anyone says "Ansel Adams edited his photos", he wasn't comping in nonexistent skies and adding fake suns to every photo to compensate for what should have been caught in camera.
Absolutely love your show, I am sorry but the 2nd image in The Surgery of the Prince of Wales bridge belongs to me, I thought I put my name on there but just like to say thank you for all your comments, little bit about the image, I was actually hand holding the camera as I didn’t have my tripod on me as I take my camera with me all over the country as I’m a delivery driver, I found the location and waited roughly 3 hours after I finished work for the sunset, not having a tripod, the only way I could capture the light etc perfect was doing a bracketed image and put together in Lightroom. Thank you for reviewing it tho and next time When I send a image in I’ll remember to add my name 🙈 keep up the great content tho, learning lots from the show 😊👍🏻
Never thought an already amazing show could be made any better.. But then, I guess you surprised most of us with an even more stunning show in a brand new and awesome format!
WOW! I am limited in how i walk. You are the first photography show that addressed this issue for landscape photographers. Sky would be a lifetime bucket list visit. But I haven't ruled it out even though I am an old fart. Thanks for addressing this issue. I hope the island gets a lot of tourist.
Glad you enjoyed it. Hopefully you can make it to Skye one day. If not, then at least enjoy it from our perspective here on Photography Online. All the best for 2021.
Yet another great episode! I love that this is online and that we get to participate. The "Lone tree" showcase is a brilliant idea and should be fun. Thanks so much for all that you guys do!
I just found your channel in November when I was searching YT for Canon R5. I have since watched the past episodes, a few more than once.I hope to see a return of Marcus and the lone tree with the moon project in 2021. Looking forward to your channel in the coming years.
Hi Christa. So glad you found us. The next opportunity for us to get the moon behind the tree is next month, so keep your fingers crossed for clear skies. All the best and happy New Year.
Love the format, love the show in general. Hard to believe it has been a year already. For our American cousins 34:29 it’s not that kind of drive by shooting.. Stunning photography, great personalities, well presented and edited. Can’t wait for lockdown to ease so we can get up from Central Belt...
...what an end of this year, despite Covid19...we´d all got the best Photography Show on YT...once again with all the sympathy...thank you so much for all the work you´d done this year...
So much information ,such beautiful scenery ...I so look forward to this each and every video...thanking all for their energy ...knowledge and heart put into each of these very time consuming shares of this ever growing art form...
Great show again - love the Golden Eagle - something we don't get in the southern hemisphere. Brought back wonderful memories of getting up close and personal with these magnificent birds when I was working/living in Mongolia.
Great piece on locations for mobility challenged photographers. Having quite a severely arthritic knee which somedays limits walking to a few painful yards this really helped with our plans for a trip upto Skye next Aprilish
What a treat, once again... 366 thank-yous ! Let me put "visiting Skye" on my schedule for... next year, or the one after (?). Never mind, it's deeply embedded down me grey matter. :-D And get Harry some rest, with next issue about otters chances are he gets epileptic !
Another brilliant show, I really enjoyed the Landscape/lone tree section but liked the others as well. Keep up the good work and I’m already looking forward to the next episode.
2021 is just around the corner and the beginning of a new year with 12 full episodes of "Photography online" to look forward to - many thanks for all the efforts that you guys put in to making the show in 2020 ,, I`m certain the year ahead will be just as good.. I`d like to wish you all a Happy New Year ....
Great show, lots of varied content, especially enjoyed the accessible locations at the end, goes to prove you don't have to be a mountaineer to get some superb images.
Thank you Ruth and the team for your informative and instructional channel. It has been great to watch in these restricted times. Let us hope 2021 is much improved and we can get out with our cameras again without restrictions.
Sigh. We loved Skye so much a few years ago, but conditions are going to have to improve a lot before we can get back-and it's a long swim from San Diego. Thanks for continuing to make us long for a return trip.
Another fantastic and professional production. Congratulations to the prize winners! Love the new format and all ready looking forward to part 2. Lets hope for a great 2021
Thank you to all of you at the show, was really chuffed and gobsmacked to hear my name being read out first!! Keep up the good work! Hope Samta was good to you and wish you all the best for 2021! Pronunciation of my surname was spot on!
Haven't gotten around to seeing the latest show before now, and was very happy to hear you wanted lone tree images. Made one last fall that I'm VERY happy with, but I guess you won't get see it since you already gotten to many I guess :) Great show nevertheless!!
Great presentations and I’m playing catch up, (at Feb 2020 edition), having latched onto the channel a year late (Doh!!). Still, while the domestic princess is watching soaps, I can do a little binging on this until I’m back with everyone else who has subscribed. One request and one for the challenges perhaps is to take a ‘tilt ‘n’ shift lens onto a landscape shoot; something I’m about to start experimenting with and planned into my visit to Scotland at the end of February/early March subject to the dreaded COVID 19. Loving the format and saving on the cost of photography magazines.
Have enjoyed the show from the beginning and truly appreciate the fresh format. While I would absolutely love to take photos on the Isle of Skye some day, for now I have a much better chance of scouting a lone tree or doing wildlife shoots. Very thoughtful of you to suggest accessible locations, so much more inclusive and achievable. Can't wait for the next episode. Cheers.
I’m lucky enough to live in area of nesting Brahminy and Brown kites. 2 magnificent large birds. They have got so used to us being at home that on occasions they fly as close as 5m to us. Absolutely incredible animals.
Thanks for another enlightening show. Good variation of things and also appreciated the part for those with limited mobility - It was nice of you to think of ones who can't get out too much, but now will take a look around and find some accessible shots! Great idea. When you read John tonight, Thought that I had won something...... that's the problem with having the most common name on the planet. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for adding the accessible locations I was one of your followers/subscribers who mentioned this I can't wait to visit put my camera skills into action when we can visit safely. Another fantastic job what a team you have enjoy the new year looking forward next months show already.
A1 show again, big thanks to all. With my thinking hat on maybe you could think about dipping into these ideas in future. 1) Compare & contrast some of the editing software options open for photographers. 2) Explore the opinions available to get your photos on line. 3) Take a look at the best photographer web sites available. Thanks again and happy new to all in the team.
Again a fairy trip through wonderful Skye, with other changes awaiting on the mainland. One thought popped up, the traffic in season of the daytrippers is growing, which impairs locations a bit. So maybe in a next item emphasis can be on video'ing during travel opposed to stationary. I myself envision using my MFT equipment in the car somehow. Just one size step up from the go-pro's, it would be a way to grab Skye on the road, rather than from the road. Kudo's on the enthousiasm of the crew !!!
Most important item/s to have to get great shots of eagles is a head for heights and non-wobbly legs like mine. I got dizzy in my armchair watching those two sitting on that ledge. Both another very enjoyable video, nonetheless. Thanks.
Love the new format. Cant wait to get over to Skye with my camera. Thanks for all the great content you have posted in 2020. Has helped me learn a lot. All the best for 2021. Thanks
Hi Team: I really like the new format for your show, and I like the new segments that have been introduced. I have recently received my paper-based list of top photographic locations for the Isle of Skye and we are eagerly awaiting our trip to Skye in the Fall 2021. QUESTION: Where is the location you used for Ruth's segment. It looks amazing. In the meantime, we will be looking forward to future episodes from your channel. Keep up the great work. Cheers, Keith Pinn (Canada)
Hi Keith. Thanks again for watching and taking the time to comment. Ruth’s section was filmed at Gesto, which is a small bay on the west coast. There’s an old abandoned house there which looks good, which is why we chose that location. hope this helps.
Not sure who within the Team responded but thank you so much. This is a lovely location and we will have to make sure we put it on our trip planner. Cheers, Keith
Loved the show and the new format. Looking forward to the next episode! I sent an email to Surgery regarding the panoramas since I didn't see another specific link.
Thank you team! Great format and about right in terms of length too. Your tips and guides are much better than watching a certain Danson giving 7 tips of this and that!
Hi Scott. I don’t know anything about the history of the house it it is called Gesto House if you want to look it up online to see if there is any info on it. It’s not as old as many other houses in the area so to us it is not that outstanding in a historical sense. Thanks for watching and happy New Year.
Love Your "new format", Really exciting and entertaining. Your show has been the top of the month for the whole 202, pretty sure it will stay there for 2021 too. Can't wait for the next part! You're all doing a fantastic job delivering spot on education and entertainment. Very surprised to hear my name, not something I'm used too
Just how good would it be to travel to Skye right now, Enjoyed your show Though, The Lone tree project has been one of my favourite subjects for some time, My other project is shooting Red Phone Boxes and Skye has loads, anyway thanks for the new ideas
I simply love Your show, I can´t wait for next episode, great job all of you. I only have one wish, PLEASE lower the music whwn people are talking it´s wery disturbing.
Hi Bjarne. Thanks for your comments. The music is a difficult one to get right because each person will hear it slightly differently. The music provides pace and atmosphere to the show, so it is needed, but of course, we don't want it to be annoying. Some people have a condition known as "cocktail party syndrome" which makes it difficult for them to distinguish two different sources of audio from each other (for example - two voices, or a voice and music). However, cocktail party syndrome exists as a scale rather than someting you either have or do not have, so each person is affected slightly differently from it. Some people will have no problem hearing a voice over loud music whereas other people will struggle to hear the same voice over quiet music, so it is not easy to get the balance right for everyone. You are not the only person to bring this to our attention and we do put more consideration into this. It doesn't help if English is not your first language either, so we understand your situation. Did you know there are subtitles which you can turn on, which may help you if you are struggling? We'll try to continue to get the balance right in future shows, but thanks for your comments - they are much appreciated.
Hi Cheryl. Thanks for watching. Please send in your line tree photos to photographyonline@mc2photography.com - although it’s not a competition as such as there are no prizes and no winners. We will simply show our favourite ones on next month’s show.
Hi William, the email address is in the Description area but I'm afraid we've just closed the window for submissions. This is just to give us time to use some of the images in creating the next show. Sorry for any inconvenience. Ruth
Love the new format. Engaging and informative content, and it’s great to have such a variety of genres and different styles of presentation. Harry SO excited with his Eagles!
Thanks Howard. Great to hear you are enjoying the new show. Here’s to a great 2021!
Super production. Should be a TV show. Better than most stuff on the TV. Well done all.
Thanks Michael. We appreciate you taking the time to watch and to comment. All the best for 2021.

Just seen this episode and I done a Lone Tree project in lockdown, I photographed in monochrome to add the the felling of loneliness.

Just when you thought things couldn't get better........ they just did. Where did the time go.
Thanks for watching John. Not long to wait for part 2!
nice part one looking forward to part 2
Thanks for watching Alvin
Looking forward for the coming shows.
Hopefully the New Year will be a good one for us all
Thanks Ross
Thank you team! Great format and about right in terms of length too. Your tips and guides are much better than watching a certain Danson giving 7 tips of this and that!
Glad you enjoyed it! We don't go for "7 ???" click bait nonsense.
thank you so much for detailing the accessible locations Great for my wife
Our pleasure!
Scotland is so intriguing. How old is that house behind you in the opening sequence?
Hi Scott. I don’t know anything about the history of the house it it is called Gesto House if you want to look it up online to see if there is any info on it. It’s not as old as many other houses in the area so to us it is not that outstanding in a historical sense. Thanks for watching and happy New Year.
Looking forward to picking up my camera and going out for some lone tree shots . Great show hope you all have a great New Year
Thanks, you too!
Love Your "new format", Really exciting and entertaining. Your show has been the top of the month for the whole 202, pretty sure it will stay there for 2021 too. Can't wait for the next part! You're all doing a fantastic job delivering spot on education and entertainment. Very surprised to hear my name, not something I'm used too
Glad you enjoy it!
Great show, Loved the new format and looking forward to future episodes. Have a great 2021 and Thank you all
Cheers Ian. All the best to you
Excellent as always, thank you guys. Welcome to Devon James 👋🏼
Thanks Sandra. You will hopefully see more of Devon in coming shows.
Just how good would it be to travel to Skye right now, Enjoyed your show Though, The Lone tree project has been one of my favourite subjects for some time, My other project is shooting Red Phone Boxes and Skye has loads, anyway thanks for the new ideas
Great to hear Allan. If you like red phone boxes then get yourself out to Harris and Lewis. They still have some there with double doors.
So excited! "Cheers" from Arizona!
Thanks for watching.

Thanks, will do!
We'll try to continue to get the balance right in future shows, but thanks for your comments - they are much appreciated.
nice one chaps...
Cheers John. Thanks for getting involved. Happy 2021
Great show with some great tips for a beginner like me. Where do we send the lonely tree photos for the competition please
Hi Cheryl. Thanks for watching. Please send in your line tree photos to photographyonline@mc2photography.com - although it’s not a competition as such as there are no prizes and no winners. We will simply show our favourite ones on next month’s show.
Happy New Year !
SUBSCRIBED :)
Welcome! Happy new year.
Excellent show
Glad you enjoyed it
Another great show. I like the new look. Not too much of a change though.
Glad you like it! Only a slight tweak here and there which just ends up in a slightly more polished feel. Hopefully you agree.
good stuff guys!
Thanks again for watching. All the best for 2021.
Great show as always! As for your lone tree request, Ruth, how do we send an image through to you for consideration please? Bill
Hi William, the email address is in the Description area but I'm afraid we've just closed the window for submissions. This is just to give us time to use some of the images in creating the next show. Sorry for any inconvenience. Ruth

Happy new year Lee. Thanks for watching.
