Nigel- Two things I truly appreciate about you are your consumate enthusiasm for all things photography, and for your disciplined approach to both enjoying and taking photos. I have learned so much from you over the years. It really is inspiring to be able to listen and interact with you even from a distance across the pond here in North Carolina- USA! Thank you!
Never thought I'd get the chance to say I'm in one of Nigel Danson's photos! I was on the other side of the valley (Side Pike side) that morning! At 15:25 you can see me in blue in the middle right hand side 😆
I absolutely love to watch Nigel. Thanks for being amazing and inspiring both me and my grandson who is now 15 and loves to go on photography trips with his grandpa...we love the bond that it creates and both of us love the content you create that helps us get out more.
I so enjoy watching your videos. Regardless of the content, there is always a gem of wisdom to be had. Your enthusiasm and complete honesty are second to none. Thank you so much for what you do. 😊xxx
Hi Nigel, so many dog walks at Brothers Water - Three Collies, one boy, and 21 years of moody views. Sunshine, swimming, rain, mist, snow - and swans with rainbows. Enjoy all you put out so, keep on😉
Love the video this week. Yes. I would love to see a video on wide angle photography. It is something I would love to learn more about as I just got myself a 14-30 mm lens.
Another great video Nigel. Definitely a lot of potential there. Great image's as usual. I was going to ask about your camper van, but you have now told us. Look forward to the next one.
Did have a 10 day trip for fall colors thru the Appalachians. Unfortunately that's not happening but I am heading up there to volunteer which is much better. Next year hopefully fall colors.
Thanks Nigel! Photographs were beautiful. I look forward to your wide angle shots and technique. I am very interested in the van progression. It was interesting how you went about it.
Yes, definitely on the Wide Angle video. I've been wondering about that one for sure. How do you focus for single/focus stacked shots. What is the best "wide" angle to use and how do you compose. Do you use zoom or prime lens? When to use a wide angle and what, and how you decide on what mm length to use. Great stuff as always!
Thank you Nigel for your wonderful vid. Inspired me to get out and do some more local exploration. Yes, a video on wide-angle would be most appreciated.😊
As ever, great update and yes, wide angle focus would be appreciated. I believe that many overlook using wide angle and with that, don’t develop a style for that medium. More please 👍👏
Love to see your wide angle video Nigel. I struggle myself how to put my 14-30 to good use and hope to see some nice tips from you so it doesn’t get better. Greeting from the Netherlands.
Great video Nigel, thank you. Excuse my cheek but whilst I was watching it your enthusiasm reminded me of the Paul Whitehouse character "Brilliant" in the Fast Show and sure he would have taken a lot of your phrases from the video if he was talking about landscape photography i.e. - amazing, magical, spectacular, absolutely fantastic, brilliant. 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for a nice video and a great series of images, even though it was just shouting in minimal wheater conditions. Autumn is surely starting to shine through! Yes, of course I would be interested in a 'wide-angle photo' video. I think wide-angle shots are tricky, mine are often dissapointing but yours always turn out great. So yes please :-)
If/when I return to the UK from living in Germany, I'll definitely move close to the Lake District, amazing location. Good to see you back out on location Nigel.
Definately interested in wide angle info. I can useually find a good forground and background but tend to endup with an expance of boring sea, beach or grass in beween. should I go lower, higer, change the angle, move closer or further back and use a longer focal lenght. That sort of stuff for me please!
Great inspirational video again thank you! I was scouting yesterday and found the most amazing woodland on my doorstep with rocks, a cliff and everything, I can’t believe I never knew it was so good in there, I’ve always gone to the other side of the road! I’m still in shock! 🤦🏽♀️🌳☀️
Great to see you out Nigel. You guys and your Stone walls (yes a little envious). I need to use my Rode mic more often... Great job navigating two cameras, two mics, a drone, etc. I've enjoyed your videos for years. ~king of excuses. Cheers from Texas.
Great video - thank you. I always find your enthusiasm inspiring. I love that building across Brothers Water too 😊. I would be very interested in the wide angle techniques video.
Thank you for taking us on your photography hikes and adventures with all of your gear! I enjoy the advice and photography. Yes, I am interested in a video on wide angle shots. I am considering a purchase of a 12-24 lens, but it is pricey and wondering if it would be worth the cost, since I already have a 16-35 lens.
Definitely interested in a wide angle photography video from you, Nigel. I love wide angle photography and the fact that is a bit more complex for making the composition right, so I can't wait to hear your thoughts on it . Cheers! 😊
Super interested in the wide angle shot video! I often use zoom to remove details and simplify the shot, because composing with wide angle lens is quite hard
Such beautiful photos! And I would very much like to see a video about your wide angle compositions. I noticed that you seem to alternate between the 24-120 and the 24-200 lenses but that most photos seem to be between around 24-50. I’m curious about what you think about when deciding which lens to take? Thanks so much for sharing your adventures and knowledge!
Hard to believe Autumn is upon us one again. Good to see you back out Nigel and never knew DJI produced a charging bank so will definitely follow your link for a look at it as it’s something I’m currently looking in to
For me as a beginning Photographer, this gives me wide opportunity and perspective. This is Really helpful as I love hiking. But learning Wide Angle shots would help me gain a perspective and keen eye for future shots
I love the fact you were “all over the place” as you said, exploring. This was a very interesting video and beautiful images, Nigel! Interestingly, I loved your vertical photos, too. Was your twisted tree close-up a composite to have the background sharp, as well as the tree?
