  • "He was one of very, very few people on earth whom I would have missed just as much had I never had the pleasure and fortune of knowing him. He lit fires in people's minds. He was an educator...
Goodbye, Christopher Hitchens. You were envied, feared, adored, reviled and loved. Never ignored. Never bested. A great and marvellous man." Stephen Fry

I really believe that Hitch passionately wanted to make a great statement for humanity for sticking to his guns, but being totally in control of his opinion and fighting the good fight. CH had a great sense of humor.

This is outstanding. He is dead but the impact of his life is immortal. Great video!

The more I watch tributes of him, the harder it is to shake off the wish of extending of my time to him, even though it'd be a great slight to him, just so he can live on a bit longer to finish another piece of his work.

It’s from Hitchens debates that we’re able to get an idea of what an intellectual he was. He was wonderful and I only wish he had lived to be 95yrs old! Had I ever had the chance to meet him I would have told him I was born not that far from Florida Missouri.

@VivaHitch Hahaha no tinnitus here. I swear there is a weird vocal echo around the speakers, but it sounds better today for some reason. Great tribute! I had to watch it again for a second time just to be sure ;)

As a rule, I don't mind music in a tribute video, just not when it makes it difficult to hear the spoken word. This music drowns out certain speakers, especially SF

I thank you for this also except the music was way too loud. I did like the soft piano at the beginning. It felt appropriate. But let there be silence while this brilliant man is talking.

Actually, I really believe this is a terrific question. I am sure you agree that not all that Hitch debated were cranks (most, yes!). I sincerely believe it was always a subconcious need to be utterly stripped of the nonsence that they held too (I am thinking of Hitch's debates with Al Sharpton). It is almost a reversion to a child like state:"Beat the shit out of me, please!" He was an alpha figure on many levels. Intellectual thought was of the greatest aspect of his character.

  • @dkompres6889

Don’t just take the words of our leading intellectuals about Hitch find out for yourselves by listening to his debates. Only in this way do you get an idea to the depth of his knowledge.

God is Light, if you understand what the bible is saying, you'll realize that it is all true. we are rebels ,lost. We (mankind) are now in the dark, unable to see evidence for the existence of God. God sent a Light, Jesus, to save us and show us the way. Call upon Jesus and He will give you Light to see God. If you are depressed or sad or feel lost, you can call on Jesus and be saved.

Randy Pacchioli Where did you get the idea that something that does not exist should be hated? Think about it. Hitch hates stupidity and ignorance - that's it. Everyone should. You believe because you were brought up to not ask questions.
