One thing I just figured out on my own...relay stations (and other buildings) have a topographic map of Appalachia, with small colored thumbtacks in various places. if you look closely enough, you get an option to interact with the thumbtacks, which placed a grey marker on your map. Its a great way to find new POI's.

Train stations have these too with other stations you can interact to get em on the map!

Just Scrap/Junk. You can pick it back up too unless another player nabs it first.

please for love of god participate in public events. Some reason new players just don't do it at all im tired of failing events lol.
