Same here. Electric bills are high enough as it is now. I don't want something else to make it get even higher. It sounds good

My gt235 is running very ruff after the new carburetor was installed. The idle is up and down, hunting, I think that’s called. Any suggestions?? Does the top screw with the gasket under it have any effect? There is also a screw inside the top cylinder portion that I can turn a quarter??? Thanks for any help.

Great video. Absolutely love the footage of the electric DeWalt on fire.😂 What an embarrassment!!! Battery operated electric vehicles of any kind are currently a joke. They need many more years of research and development to make them safer and more cost efficient. Anyway, thanks a lot.👍🏼😀

That’s what I decide to do to just keep my old carburetor also. I may officially at some point break it completely all the way down. I’m trying to rebuild it with new parts.

@@ky_chevy2824 its probably better to do that than buy a new mower

I did call a local John Deere dealer. They want $305 for a new carburetor and $175 for a rebuild kit.

@@ky_chevy2824 thats high priced i guess its worth getting if the parts last long. My friends cub Cadet carburetor cost him $175 for his Kohler its doing good though

What brand and part number replacement did you use?

Can you tell me which replacement carburetor you bought? I'm having some bad problems on my gt235 with Briggs Vanguard and don't want to spend $380 for a new one.

I bet your old carburetors bowl gasket was bad because i have that problem and kept the old carburetor it is still good it just needs the right gasket for it walbro doesn't sell the right gasket for mine.
Cause see what was happening on my old carburetor was the old gasket around the lip of the bowl was part way falling into the bowl once it was screwed back on then the gasket was rubbing against the float causing it to stay open and flood with gas
Then the only way for me to get a replacement bowl gasket is to buy another replacement carburetor walbro only sells the tall gaskets mine takes the flat type that sits on the lip of the bowl
The tall type of gaskets they sell as the replacements don't work I've tried them they make it so you can't screw the bowl back on because its not a flat gasket but claim its the right replacement part when its not.
The replacement carburetor bowl gasket walbro sells fits into the carburetor body and not the bowl. the original carburetor and bowl has the gasket sitting around the lip of the bowl same as they're replacement carburetors it sits around the bowl
