It looked to me like the suspect made a left turn at about the 5:29 mark - Trooper kept going. That had to be a Trackhawk to handle the way it did (and make that corner) and out-accelerate a 5.7 Charger like that.
who needs a Hellcat when a Jeep Cherokee will do LOL, walked away from that cruiser with the greatest of ease and that cop can't drive worth a damn on top o fhat, needs to sit behind a desk for a while to calm himself down to
Just watched again. Like i dunno 10 times in 24 hours. If there was an award for best high speed chase video, this is my vote. (of course this stupid illegal behavior is just reckless) The lighting in the background is the cherry on top. Incredibly beautiful! Somehow something bad was beautiful at the same time! Officer, amazing driving skills ! You did a great job. Sorry you didn't get that moron. Thank you for your service. Someone get this officer a WARBLER!!!! 😄
Nothing about the getaway driver screams Pro tbh. Trooper just got tunnel vision and overshot the turn and the Suspect got his chance and took it. That was more luck than anything.
Out maneuvered by a Jeep... I'm disappointed in you! Perhaps next time! 😂 I never cuss out boanheaded drivers, say the people suggesting anger management classes are in order. 🤔 😂
Its a different deal when you come up against someone who can truly drive !! This was not a punk kid making bad driving decisions , this cat could drive !!!!!Well sometimes you get the ( Smokey BEAR) and sometimes the Bear gets you ) TROPPER, YOU BEEN HAD !!!..LOL.
We're all human...no doubt frustrating when other drivers fail to yield to emergency vehicles...nothing wrong with voicing those frustrations when alone. Doesn't necessarily mean he has anger issues. You'd be angry too!
@@wamps3370 I get angry at work sometimes but I don't do that while piloting a 5000+ pound police cruiser at 140mph. It's okay to be mad sometimes don't do it in a situation where something very slight can kill several people
@wamps3370 I hate it when I see the dumb ass not pull to the right, but when you get pissed it clouds your decisions, and at 100 plus, that is not the time
Here's the deal. To be a good at chasing a fleeing vehicle, a few things need to happen. First, if you are driving a marked patrol Police car, you need the element of surprise, and you also need a good catch up start, meaning that when you see a car you want to stop, you need to catch up to that car without your lights and sirens. Once your a reasonable distance behind.. like 5 to 6 car lengths, then you activate your emergency equipment. From that point on... You pace, not chase.. Many officers get tunnel vision on the vehicle they are pursuing.. stay a little back but keep up with the car so that if there any unsuspected moves and turns, the officer can commit to what the fleeing driver does... Just saying. "Pace.. not chase"
This wasn’t a “pro” driver; it’s just another felon who was fleeing an ASP officer who didn’t have luck on his side. You can tell this officer allowed his emotions to take over delivering a solid pursuit; had he not allowed his emotions to cloud his actions, it would have been another apprehension for him. I can see it clearly that that’s what happened. Credits are earned and not given - and surely not to some felon who was on another reckless drive on the town.

Because the lame cop can't drive. I thought it was an old Asian lady driving the cop car.
cop is one angry road rager in words n controlling himself 😂 n at the end of this pursuit against the experience jeep suv driver the cop fails a right turn n losses him haha
Believe it or not, there is a school of thought in police procedure that calls for verbalizing your actions as you perform them. This is originally from the late 80s, but has since been revived with the advent of dash and body cameras, recording everything taking place in the officer's sensory field. It allows the medium to record what the officer is actually thinking if he/she verbalizes it in the moment. Jury's out on whether it's a good thing......................................
All of you stating anger issues he has a perfect right on two things. As a former LEO anything that commands a chase, high crime (example felony, domestic) communications automatically lets out a long loud beep and states all traffic switch to channel two. Other officers not involved shouldn’t be calling stupid shit on the same channel a pursuit is going on. And two these drivers need to get out of the way! Move to the right! It’s not hard to yield! It’s called the Move Over Law and is punishable in all states. I can go on about other things but I already know the idiots who have watched too much tv will comment with sass back.
The Lightning in the Background is EPIC ⚡️
2:36, 5:06
@@Nadstratosfer......frickin awesome.....!
When he pulled the "unexpected turn", you then see him *Cut His Lights".* After that, we never see him again. Quite a solid move.....
When the cop missed that right even though the Jeep was clearly on his brakes, I knew he was gonna get away.
The mark of a good driver is a smooth driver. I could tell quickly by the smoothness of the fleeing driver he was a good driver.
Wheel control creates smoothness like that. Not alot of ppl understand that. He drove VERY well.
And the police officer did not unfortunately.
@@dustyburnerol smokey got smoked!
Wow some cool lightning ⚡
God let them get away if u believe or not
If these boys are wanting to drive blacked out, they need to install a kill switch for their brake lights. Just sayin'.
Don't run.....just saying.
He DID Get AWAY ... Jus Sayin.
Most of these idiots will Black out and end up using turn signals 🤦🏽♂️. So counterproductive 🤣🤣.
They should install. Their needs are none of your business.

This was just sport for him, I think..

Lightning in the sky at 2:35 was Superb!
Cop has some anger management issues...
He Does Work For ASP... i think it's a mandatory requirement before employment there !
That had to be either a TH or a SRT. Smooth driving by the driver of the jeep. Definitely knows his vehicle.
What was his goofy ass doing when he missed that turn is the question
Who is he complaining about being on the radio? Guy strikes me as pretty unprofessional.
And more than a little butt hurt.
Some anger management classes in this trooper’s future
sgt. porky should have a future in cleaning toilet bowls, n moppin floors.
who needs a Hellcat when a Jeep Cherokee will do LOL, walked away from that cruiser with the greatest of ease and that cop can't drive worth a damn on top o fhat, needs to sit behind a desk for a while to calm himself down to
Was Jacob Byrd driving that Jeep?
😂😂😂😂😂
It was not Jacob Byrd behind the wheel!
Wonder if it’s a trackhawk or srt jeep
I thought so fast and well-controlled driving may be a pro
I believe it's a trackhawk
If you pause it at .54 you can see what looked like the track hawk badge. So I would say good call.
This isn’t a Trackhawk It’s a grand Cherokee SRT.
Not me hoping the chase turns more toward the storm so I can see more lightning lol
This officer has dangerous anger issues and shouldn't be behind the wheel.
Explain your reasoning, if you can
If he wasn’t caught then how did they know he was a “pro driver”?
ARE YOU BLIND, WE COULD ALL SEE THIS CAT WAS A PRO !!! DAA
Jacob Byrd may have been driving that Jeep to keep the other troopers skills sharp!
Nice thunderstorm coming up though!!👍⛈

If he would drift a little bit on that corner he wouldn't lost it out.
Twice you say "lost site of the vehicle". Are you kidding? "Site" is a location, not a vision.
They did come up with a new word: "sight", btw.
Jacob Byrd would've come close to catching this guy! You always out drive their Asses!😅😅😅

He probably hit that side street or hid in one of the lots and waited until they drove by
I consider a pro driver to drive a Limo, a Taxi cab or even a hearse. Not a crazed idiot on the road.

ahhh a judgmental weirdo,, never hard to find those in these police chase comments
I can see the trooper made a critical mistake. At 4:51, he should have fully applied the brake but instead floored the gas.
Thats a SRT8 swap cherokee or even a hellcat swap cherokee. Hes moving fast as fuck compared to that troopers charger lol
Awe, seen this one before. And the cop loses.
No, Society (That's you) loses............................
@08:40 is the kind of meteorological phenomena I've come to expect from ASP Dashcam videos...................
I guessed he out ran and smoked the trooper. 😢
SRT brakes got to love'em. Bye-bye 👋✌️😂😭🤣🚗💨💨
