Yes they need to stop at that point. Springdale Fayetteville and other local agencies have stop chase rule, asp has less troopers than square mile so they act out in situations like this, they pride themselves in crashing you, hurting you and disregard of public safety....

That and it was more of a tire issue also, police tires are designed to be tough first and foremost - grip is really not a factor, just average. The tires on that SRT were probably soft as hell and nice and warm too. Any vehicle can lock up its brakes once, you don’t need big brakes for that. Having said that, it’s hard to gauge just how many times the trooper was braking hard before he tried to take that turn - at those speeds, I guess it is very possible the brakes were very hot and already fading, which could have thrown him off even more when he hit the pedal and nothing happened. I still think late braking and understeer were the issue - and yeah, only make your front tires do one thing at a time. Get the heavy braking done before entering the turn, you don’t have enough friction to brake and change direction at speeds like that.
Boy that is one angry officer, the real shame is his driving abilities. And he is calling people A holes. Lovely the way authorities speak to the public.
Trackhawk should have pulled a lot harder than that. Even in stock form they pull away from a scat pretty good from a roll, would have left an R/T easily.
Is it possible that these cops just like chasing ghost or is it that they like the adrenalin rush that they get from speeding just like the rest of us? I bet they won't tell!
Hey Brandon, when your doing triple the speed limit its kinda hard to react in time to get out of your way. If I did that you would take me to jail for reckless driving. You doing it is no different.
I think the losing him at the corner has more to do with the fact that the brake lights light up the same regardless of how you are braking. You can't tell until it's too late whether he was just riding the brakes for the intersection or whether he was really on them for the corner and where that started. Because of that, you're going to go long even with comparable brakes.
If I was a LEO having to chase someone in city traffic I would have my siren rumble deployed at all times. I know I can hear that before an actual siren.
One thing to always keep in mind for any police chase: it's actually very good training practice for the officer even if they miss a few here and there. Why? They're multitasking. The person trying to get away actually isn't doing squat. The cop is chasing the fleeing vehicle plus giving regular turn by turn directions on the radio plus having to safely watch traffic at each light and stop sign. This usually means slowing down in the process. The person trying to flee...they run a lot of stop signs and lights, oftentimes not braking at all. They don't care about the safety of anyone else, just their getaway. So you can very much argue that the cops are far, far better drivers than any of the fleeing perps in that they reasonably keep up with the ones that get away while doing all of these things that the perps would likely fail at miserably if they had to multitask like that.
😂😂😂😂😂 once he hit that right turn, while the trooper almost ran straight through the curve, that's where the pursuit should've been called off. It was game over right there and then
