I DO NOT recommend using Zeiss eyeglass wipes. Went to Zeiss authorized dealer to have a set of Zeiss lenses made for some vintage Zeiss frames. Checked every box was a $667 bill for the lenses. (I will say, best lens I ever had for clarity and vision, digital grind allowed for no bad focal points) BUT coating damage after 7 months. Most likely the anti glare coating(they transitioned fine) may have been damaged by the wipes. (I never wiped with paper towels, I only compress to dry) I am only going to use what Ray Ban and Luis Vuitton recommend for cleaning. Dish soap and water lol Just a dot and water.
This is a really nice board and I actually think its a great value for the parts and quality you're getting, but I really enjoy building my boards, and it's the main reason I got into this hobby. But if I have any friends who are looking into getting a nice board and don't want to build it, this will be on the list of recommendations
Definitely a great price for the whole package!! It’s wild to think I paid $300 after shipping for a Tofu60 with switches and caps just 3 yrs ago, it really is a great time for newcomers to be in the hobby!!
My Luminkey 75 group buy was delivered and I am loving it. I have to say that the 'some other dude' who built this for me did every good of a job as I would, LOL. The stabs are perfection, no ticks in sight, truly a great value all things considered.
I enjoy the process of building a mechanical keyboard because I feel connected to it. But I understand if some people don’t like that process and this keyboard is perfect!
have somewhat the same thought. for me, keyboards are more expensive puzzles and projects and collectibles. They are not so much objects of use and using them is secondary.
When you break down the price, this a great deal. Pricing out the caps, switches and build service and you're only paying ~$150 for the board itself. That is getting into qwerty keys territory of stupid low prices for a good board.
Very nice! A little too much clack for my taste, I prefer that marbly thock. Great deal. I do think everyone should build a custom though, even if it is just a Keychron that Karen in the cubicle next to you has, because then its YOUR keychron
I’ve been asked by friends who just joined the hobby if a prebuilt is considered custom. I would say yes BUT, with the hobby having such a wide range of cost now, there are different level of customs now. It’s no longer the small designer/GB style custom anymore. And I think that’s totally okay.
I think a custom is built from scratch. So designed, sourced and assembled by the user. But it really depends on your definition of custom and customized. Actually that verbiage is spot on and I like that better than modded.
New comer guilty as charged and that sound is what I chase. But over time building them the process has become just as enjoyable as the final product. Although not a fan of these group buys.
So Scott , what's wrong with Keychron? They look very nice to me , have all the functionality I need or want . As a newbie to mechanical keyboards, they look like a great starting point ?
Keychrons are fine. Most of their new boards now requires little to no modding at all. Started from royal kludge, then Keychron Q1, then Q1 knob, then Q1 pro. And I must say, Q1 pro sounds heaven with the Aqua switch. Only did the tape mod and holee for the stabs, and voila.
Hello Keybored. Love the content, Any chance we can get a ISO buyers guide? I got the q1 and had enough of it, want to get more custom but it's all ANSI :/ HELP! Thanks
ok im just curious why is it that the people who aren't into keyboards, custom keyboards I mean, always show the same keyboard in every video. They'll have Grovemade, Orbitkey, Deltahub, Flexispot, Ergonofis and most of the time, prebuilts like Keychron, Iquinix, Nuphy, and Logitech, but then when it comes to custom keyboards, they always only show 1 particular keyboard brand, Mode keyboards. and sometimes Luminikey. Why is that? Is Mode somewhere being promoted on kickstarter or something. Literally every desk setup video i've seen, these people will have prebuilt keyboards and then the exception of Mode. Why is it that I only see Mode everywhere. It''s literally posted by everyone who isn't into keyboards for some reason. What I mean is you don't see Jelly Epoch, or FoxLab, or qk65, or zoom65, or time80, or space65, etc being seen. What makes the Mode so special? It's so bizarre. These desk setup youtubers always show the same exact products from one another and they always own the same product
Scott, i would recommend the GEON cleaning cloth to wipe your glasses with
Hahaha I noticed that too... It rained and I just wiped it on my shirt...

Speaking of prebuilt, the Dukharo nightsmoker board is pretty good
Awesome video Scott! This keyboard seems like a great value actually.
That's what I think too! Thanks for swinging by brother!
Stellar video with amazing production. Thank you for keeping doing these!
Such a great and informative video Scott! keep up the good work!
Thank you so much! Welcome!
Cant wait for your video on the choice65!

Prebuilts aren't for me, but I've got to say this is the best one I've ever seen
Dang another fresh vid my man Scott be grinding
Grinding and hustling!
Great review. Any recommendation for the switches to make it more tocky sound?
I have a Keychron and I’m offended😢
Can't really expect more at this price level, it would be even better if they add force break mod by default and offer plate options.
The plate options would Def be awesome. Or even how much foam
Never thought id see Iquinix work with CannonKeys which is pretty cool to see
Createkeeb :)
@@Keybored oh oops LOL it was the other board CannonKeys has
Nice vid mate

Mode Envoy has pre builts as well
3:17 Did you mean GMK keycaps?
Damn, Scott is calling out all the cash grab boards today

Hey Scott! I’m really loving your more in-depth objective look into the kb hobby :D any chance you’ll do a partnership/review of the new Mode Envoy?
I gotta ask what glasses those are

@arjay0490 , I purchased a Keychron Q5 Pro, and it is fantastic. I can't find fault with it.
@@TheJimboy77 right? If people can buy expensive keebs, they should go for it. But these “budget” keyboards are no less inferior.
Love the oxymoronic tytle
3:17 where can I get these gmmk keycap sets you speak of? 😄
i think the scroll wheel is more intuitive than a knob tbh
Hello Keybored. Love the content, Any chance we can get a ISO buyers guide? I got the q1 and had enough of it, want to get more custom but it's all ANSI :/ HELP! Thanks
Hey, what kind of wrist rest is that ?
Does it have RGB?
1:05 What is this keyboard?
Will we get a mod video for the Q3 Pro SE?
I'm not so sure haha. I don't know if I'll have the opportunity unfortunately
@@Keybored I did see the short for it though.
wonder if they give the full keycap base with the board
I don't believe so!
Just a couple more modifiers that’s all

That's an interesting comment. Interestingly enough, I don't own a single mode lol
Where is the latest video?
It's been fixed!
@@Keybored good video!
And what do you think about monsgeek m1/m1w?
Scott is one of my favorite keyboard channels out there... right?
I hope so!
omg, poor Karen, getting called out like that
I don't care what anyone says. Keychron FTW
