Goes to show you how long ago it's been the last time I saw the IDPA Rule Book, I didn't know extended Dust Covers were IDPA Legal!!
Yes, they got rid of that rule years ago

@@yrsued It's true. They added fault lines and changed to 1 second per point down. In all honesty, I preferred the old way. It's what made IDPA different than USPSA, in a good way. Now it's just like USPSA-lite. However, I do say good riddance to some of the rules, like the infamous flat footed reload rule, and of course the silly dust cover rule. Sigh.

That is a great looking piece. Maybe you can make a vid taking it apart. Looks like it has a fixed barrel. That would make it definitely a tacker. Yep, as a 45 guy I know what you mean about having some thoughts on the 9mm. But I have to tell you everything eventually comes to an end, And I think the 45 1911 will eventually go down in history as one of the greatest weapon designs.Times change and everything progresses.I still love my 45 and I will probably go visit the man upstairs and ask him if I can bring my 1911. I also broke down and purchased (2) 9mm Sigs, a P226 MK25 and a P226 Xtreme. And I have to say I am impressed with them.Anyway have a great time with the new toy and give them hell at the competitions. I got my bet on you that you will kick ass, LOL.
Lol thanks and solid input but I'll always be a 45 guy and hopefully a 10mm guy when I grab a delta elite here soon if things work out and funds are available!

You and me both but it does shoot very well and I'd rather shoot this in competition being a platform I'm familiar with over a cz or something
I bought one today and I called STI with my serial number and they told me that 350 Hawks were made.
Even still super low number run also how you like it?

Beautiful gun. Plus a limited run...can't beat it. Don't worry, I won't tell anybody it's a 9mm if you don't... Use it in good health.

No unfortunately you can only choose from their current lineup which they have streamlined quite a bit

is the tactical sti the same the hawk 5.0 where it is a limited number gun?
Most of they're guns function and quality wise are the same with slight differences and aesthetic features
