My RAV4 2017 shows alert "BSM malfunctioning" studently while I was driving. Does anyone know how to tell 1) the BSM part is bad; or 2) need re-alignment? There are two parts, left (master) and right (slave). How can I tell which one is malfunctioning? Thanks.
Hi the only way to know for sure is to read the diagnostic codes with the scan tool , they don't get misaligned unless you got into a minor scuffle and something hit your bumper you need a physical force to push it out of alignment,
@@adasaimingbyjackshort2123 Ok. Thanks for the quick answer. The BSM sensor cost $800+ plus 2-hour labor work. I may go ahead invest $ to buy a scan tool.
Hi, if this is your personal car and you're only interested in working on your Toyota I would suggest to get the Interface from Drew tech design for Toyota it's about $400 then you can sign up for Toyota software diagnostic service manual and repair for just a few days you will have the same access as the professional dealership ,
Hello and thanks for the videos! You say in the video that autel targets have the wrong dimensions and the quality is bad. Is that true? can you make a comparison video with some examples? I am thinking of buying autel as they have the biggest coverage.
It does not work with Mazda because the Mazda target is smaller I do have a autel set up and works great have also TEXA system comes with 3 different sizes of cones for different brands also have a Toyota factory target
if you start the process for recalibration and you get out the middle obviously nothing going to be saved that's mean everything need to be start from the beginning There is a way to know the numbers as the come from factory and put back as the beginning and put it on the thecstream?
@@CN-zi7cw what scanner did you use . I’m sure it’ll work fine it’s really just a laser target . Adas kit is super expensive. I know someone that has homemade kit and he’s been doing some calibrations for ppl here and there

I had to do recalibrate on a Camry axis beam sensor and I made my own reflector target. It worked fine.
