The youth of the 60's and into the 70's, the counter culture, tried to warn us not to believe everything we were told, maybe not even believe what we see, I'm not sure we listened. Our parents, one's who grew up in the 50's and 60's and now faced record high divorce levels as well as corporate downsizing, preached stability and status quo. Our teachers were an uneasy mix between the two groups.
Brings me to tears remembering how great the 80s were.
still are...
What touches me about these 80's Tributes is...listening I remember back then and my mom was alive, and my dad was also...my grandma and grandpa and aunts and uncles..family is what the 80's remind me of..
Same.
Amen I miss the all 😢
You’re view of the 80’s is so,so correct and I want to add a couple more things, The 80’s life was much more simple, not so fast paced and people had a lot more respect and morals and actually watched out for their neighbors, the music was real and life was just so much better and everyone actually loved America. Thank you for your view because you just brought back a flood of memories of my family members that are now in heaven. God bless you!!!
One of the hardest parts thinking back - why I miss the 80s so much. I was 20 something with a serious health crisis and my parents made sure I recovered. They were 100 percent there for me. I had many aunts and uncles and they are all gone now, as is my dad. My mom is 91 and our roles have reversed with her needing help. Wish so badly I could go back even for one day, listening to these songs on my Pioneer stereo I had put in my 81 Chevy Camaro.
Same here!👋😔👉♥️
The movies, the tv shows, the music. Nothing beats it. We had it soooo good, we didn't even know it. 😢
don't worry nothings gonna stop us now your mine kid🤣
growing up in the 80's. Becoming an adult in the 80's. I wanna go back. We had it all
The 80's was the greatest music decade! Then 84, 85, and 86 was our favorite!
My wife and I married in 1984! It was an awesome decade to be a young adult. Great times.
We have been married 40 years now, are more in love than ever.
This music is played during our "over the road tours" around the US.
We have 7 adult children and 5 grandchildren spread out around the country.
Our primary residence is in Eastern Long Island, and have secondary residence in Naples Fla.
So, we tour across the country in our plush touring bus. The custom AV system is crazy and makes cruising over the road like being at a concert. My wife gets the design credit.
It's so wonderful when we can schedule some touring time. It's so nice to have us time. We love being together.
We try to get to as many of the kids as possible on a tour. We also tow our enclosed car trailer, so we can either take my wife's 2022 C8 Corvette, or 2021 Ferrari F488 Spider on the journey! Just two of many toys in our garages.
We are truly living the American Dream!!!
While living our blessed life now!
Awesome video. I was 10 years old when the decade started and 20 years old when it ended. What a wonderful time. I will forever be an 1980s teen in my mind. We grow, we live, and we love. I will always have a love for my youth and the glorious decade of the 1980s. It was the best. I hope when we get to the otherside that apart of Heaven is God granting you the joy of living in the best time of your life again. I love life and cherish each part of it, but that was a glorious time. Long live Gen X and the 1980s. If you find a Delorean with a flux capacitor let me know, I am going back and everyone is invited to join me.
Perfectly said
🙏♥️👌😔👉♥️that was beautiful! The 80s was the best decade!
The best decade ever!
Man, to be able to go back and do it all again.
baby we can make it if we are heart to heart😍😍
I say it a lot, but I fully believe the 80s are the pinnacle of American pop culture.
Though, so many great icons that are now gone and we'll never see the likes of again; it saddens me whenever I remember it.
The best part of this montage is that I can name practically every video clip they showed! But if they did that with current videos of today I would be screwed! 😂 I love the 80s!❤
nothings gonna stop us baby nothing not even your momma
terminator 1 came out in the 80s. 2 came out in the 90s but because the video is so cool, I can let it slide
I was just barely 3yrs old in 1980! I wouldn’t have changed it for anything! Perhaps 🤔 go back and be born in the 60’s so I could’ve lived in the 70’s / 80’s to the full extent!! I got the the 90’s and that was awesome too! ✌️I love this track! Great job on this vid! Edits are RAdICAL! ✌️😆
Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now Rebecca, 😁😆😅🤣😂🙃😉😋😛🤤🥵
No tengo palabras para describir nuestras vidas en los 80 MARAVILLOSO
Another fun and nostalgic 80s tribute. The head explosion scene in Scanners is the only scene i remember from that movie 😂
Thanks! Exactly. The only scene.
Excellent video it brings so many memories back! ❤
thanks for all the comments
Schönes Jahrzehnt ❤
Can we go back to, please?
Yesss...Thank's...
There should've been the scene from "Ghostbusters" where Peter helps Dana down from the rubble. I mean that's one of the most popular 80s movies.
You won me over. I subscribed!!!
thanks
BEST 80's tribute CLIPS......
what's missing from this
is #BRANDONLEE 😢RIP😢
Yes this one as well and movies friends myself as well. Nice @Gen X Dad, I was born in 66, and yes, I can't stand those who lived behind rose-colored sunglasses either, lol. I always tell people to take off their invisible rose-colored sunglasses, lol. I would say all the decades greatly impacted me growing up in an amazing area of New York. I would say it's in a somewhat safe atmosphere, yet scary as hell behind the doors. I hide that well from everyone, and I spoke of it never; I have been doing a lot of reflecting working on a trilogy of my life eras, industry people, friends, coworkers, and those who come in and out of ones life, I called lessons for the 90s which allowed all come out from the late 80s to 90s around 97 I swear history is repeating its self so we could look at it as if those two eras saved us or at least prepared us somewhat for these so-called 2000s which I am not even sure what to say or make of it. I am young at heart and still look it. Many amazing, tragic things did happen during the late '70s, '80s, and '90s, from losing my first husband's marriage in my last year of H.S. Sadly, he took his private pain away himself in 94. My second amazing husband went shortly in a completely different way. Protecting this country. t I can never speak of per... Yes, I am also big in music but will never speak certain names. I don't know how the military entered my life as it did, but at one point, it was heavy. I still do not realize how maybe my h.s boyfriend I don't know. Still, it did young, yet I do not agree with war, but I always felt I must support our military as they do not truly realize everything going on behind the scenes, and it isn't very good. However, one can not turn their back, but it is always a secret. The industries we were in, numerous friends, and so on are in this, and being born into political or arts outlets. I still grin when I think they looked away or let me in this club. I was around 10 and 12 and may not speak for good reason. Respect. But this is truly amazing and the right tune for it. I also remember growing up around the Punk art scene (Velvet Underground. Many need to realize it was more than one location, Union Station and Broadway world) and Broadway stages, touring nonstop in the late '80s and '90s. I used everything I learned, aka lessons, and my mom's field in action, watching scary things and doing my best to save many. Thank you for making this its original; I never realized we are known as Generation "the Unsustainable Decade." Are we Generation X? From preps and outcasts to jocks to being ourselves? Those Unssustianable, to a degree decade, prepared us somehow for what we all from all backgrounds are going through. To myself, who would have thought? Sharing this with many. They can watch via my account for their safety. It is refreshing work, simple but to the point, and I still love Oliver North for protecting his once friend because no one felt the need to tell us. Oliver North risked everything because he was a real man; as they say, he stepped up to the plate, and I respect him to date. Rangen had Alishimers, and I enjoyed watching walls come down, not going up. You truly have me thinking of sneaking into CBGBs asking my driver, please stop, or Kanase Citzy On Park Ave of all places, Bleaker Bobs Bleecker Street, my home as I called the city Village Kenny's castaways, and I am glad one didn't sell out Cafe Wa. Thanks for the reminders of what not to leave out of my trilogy. I kept journals and my memory. I forgot nothing about my rent, as I called them (parents, lol).
They always say she doesn't forget anything, so good luck. I worked with Mnay and attended Grace's 30th birthday party; I was only 11 or 12. That Rubix cube still I will master. Lol, yes, everything in this was and is in the 80s. How I dressed edgy, they'd say. Why? Because I dressed Modanna mixed with Jonie, aka Jett Prince Cher, I don't know (sure, proper when needed or required). Yes, my Cabbage patch kid, even though I was Oler, lol, pound puppy, and countless other things. SNL MTV was extremely huge in my life. I wish I did not share it with many. I am private. Oh, this accident was sent to me for a very amazing reason. I thank my dear friend. Yes, I loved my dear tennis and being great memories, yet some will stay frozen back in the 80s I wish never to think about again. Good Job.
this htis hard
Ok who remembers checking the coin returns for quarters to play one more game?

They had to build movie sets. There was no soulless CGI. They worked hard to write a good script. The actors and actresses didn't 'phone in' performances like so many do these days.
The question now with 90% of new release films is not "what's it about ?" but "what's it a remake of ?"
OG Tron. Hey i had few minutes!!!! 😂
@@rogueldr642smiythe9 Tron, now I feel old. 😒
2:43 Which movie?
Some Kind of Wonderful
And is that supposed to be Craig t nelson
January 1, 1990 was still part of the 80s. it doesn't become the 90s until January 1, 1991.
The 90s actually did start in 1990. 1990 was the first year of the 90s. 1999 was the 10th and final year of the 90s.
@@garrettsmith2654 January 1, 1990 was the number 10 for the years 81-90. The Gregorian calender is what we use. It counts decades starting at One CE. There is no 0. Find ONE place on the internet that has academic credibility that will back up what you said? I'll wait.
You are wrong about 2 films Terminator 2 is 1991 and Rambo at 1.30 was 2008 so you were way off on that one check your videos.
