how do you know that the sensor is larger if the number of pixels increases? Otherwise (sensor size still the same), I think there is no hope for better low light performance.
GoPro leaked that the camera will use a new sensor, so we will see soon what that sensor is. Low light is something they have been pressured to improve on, but we will see if they deliver. This would be a major reason to switch sensors, but until exact details are released, it's a lot of speculation.
The GoPro will use the same lens, which is a wide aperture, wide angle lens. This should maintain a similar focal distance to the older model GoPro cameras.
@@JordanHetrick That's nice. I'm still curious to how much focal distance will be lost. I'm sure it won't be too noticable but many people like putting their GoPros in tight spaces such as in a bag of chip looking out, in a bag looking out etc.
