I am a complete novice with ALL types of video cameras. The GoPro Hero 13 Black is my first and I have just downloaded the corresponding kindle book. Whilst I'm only a short way through the book, it has so far really explained everything in a manner in which a clueless 58 year old can absorbe! I now have the recommended video mode presets all sorted and will be progressing through the book. I have a trip on my bike down through Italy starting mid March so I need the learning curve to not stall 😂

One thing though, when I downloaded a video file from the Cloud from Go Pro to my Windows laptop and PC, I needed to buy a CODEC from microsoft store to play the video. WTF?????

Awesome tutorial! I have an older GoPro, the most painful part was getting the video off the GoPro and trying to stitch the files back together. The standard file naming wasn't even recognized by 3rd party software to be in consecutive order. So frustrating. Did they address this critical part of the overall experience? Maybe do a separate video on this final part of getting the complete video to play off the GoPro. Much appreciated!

I'm looking to buy the Hero 13 Black to start a RUclips while in a Semi. I'll be mainly having camera pointed to me while talking (Audio quality need to be good in a semi) but starting with some scenery, maybe pulling into a rest area and resetting on a park bench. At other times I may not be pulling off and just record in the truck the whole time. I'd like to support you here and am anxious to buy your book. But, either with or without, I was hoping you might share some quick setups for that use of the camera.
Hello Jordan, at 14:00 I can see the fps settings. Is 25fps at 16:9 4K 10bit available? I shoot with a sony FX3 at these settings but would like an action camera that can match the settings for ease in post. Wonderful tutorial Sir.

Hi, the book teaches you how to shoot creative videos with the best settings, whether you are shooting vertically or horizontal-framed videos. Great video content can really be shared on any social media, so you can definitely use the knowledge in the book to step up your game and post these videos to Reels. But I don't have much info in the book specifically about Reels. Hope that helps you decide!
Congrats! Be persistent and produce high quality videos. It can be discouraging at first if your videos don't get a lot of views, but as long as you love doing it, just keep going. Of course, get my book when it comes out because all of the knowledge in there will improve your videos greatly. You are doing such great job with these videos .I'm beginner use the go pro 12 which computer is best to buy for edit my videos for RUclips. When i upload my videos they are bury.
Doesn’t it have to do something with the hz ? Like it should be on 60 in the states or North America.. 60hertz. That’s As far as I know. just find out what hertz are in ur area and set it to that but idk if u can do that with a GoPro camera. I haven’t even turned mine on yet..
If you were happy with the Hero 6, I would go with the Hero 13. I posted a comparison between the two on my channel if you want to see more though. Have fun adventuring!

Had a Hero 5, upgraded to the 13 and watched your video. The setup between the two cameras is vastly different. So glad I found your video!

Do these setting guidelines apply to the GoPro 13 black creator edition ?
Yes, it's the same camera so you can use the same settings I provided. The Creator Edition just comes with extra accessories.

Thank you! You will need a computer that can handle editing 4k, so a good graphics card and lots of RAM. I use a new model MacBook Pro and a 27" iMac.
Filming in shop under Led lights that are not flickering to the naked eye. Go pro 13 picks it up with these settings. Anyway to fix?
