@@ThePower1037 Not true actually it is perfectly within the Hague conventions to fire upon Paratroopers it is against the Convention to fire upon someone who has ejected from a vehicle do to vehicle failure (think ejecting from a shot down aircraft).

I don’t actually even own a modern gaming system but somehow started watch Drewski a little while ago. I’ve been following demo ranch for a long time so I tripped out when they made the recent video together.

I'm in the army attached to the 82nd Airborne Division; on one hand do jumps from fixed wing or rotary aircraft is a total adrenaline rush! At the same time drewski just reminded me I'm lucky as it is that I land on the ground in the first place XD

To be fair the guys in Ukraine were mostly poorly trained conscripts that didn't really believe in or know what they were doing. If it was Russian spec ops it would've gone a little different. How different im not sure but ya know.

What mods are we using here? I want to get back into Arma 3 but iRL I'm a trauma doctor. I think the medical aspect combined with combat shows a lot of potential here. (Yea, yeah, Doc, work for a living. Whatever ;)

@OperatorDrewski have you considered sharing your Arma3 video settings? Especially the view distance and whatnot. My rig is similar to yours and for some reason I can't get that kind of performance.
I think he has video about that, but it's an old video, like 2 or 4 years old, so you might wanna scroll through his RUclips basement to find that, if you watch his older Arma 3 videos from that time, all of them have the same graphics quality as this one so you might find what you looking for there.
I know you didn't ask me, but you as an advice, sometimes framerate depends heavily on the map you're playing, you might want to tweak the view distance accordingly, take note that in this video, he's playing on Stratis which is one of the most basic and smallest map in the game (also the oldest one) but if you play on Cam Lao Nam or Tanoa you're gonna get a small to medium FPS drop if you keep you view distance high (though not an unplayable or annoying framerate drop), in fact if you watch Drewski videos playing Prairie Fire, you will notice what i'm talking about. There's no way around it besides from lowering view distance, mission sizes and mods being loaded into the game, it's just the way the game engine works and it won't matter if you have a good or bad PC you will get lower framerates if you don't tweak the graphics settings depending on the context of what you're doing in the game at the moment, the cooler mods, bigger ops and maps sadly will always tax you some fps, so it is a tradeoff that you have take, that's why people sometimes play small scale ops or try to use to use vanilla assets where possible or also try to use the most assets of a SINGLE large mod excluding other LARGE mods from the load order (like CUP or RHS for example, you will use only one depending on taste and exclude the other) . Hope it helps you bro.

I know it is a game and all, but Drew... When I saw you guys opening fire on Paratroopers I immediately started to panick and freaked out- 💀
I immediately remembered that law that the Geneva Convention talked about, according to them and I quote: “Attacks on parachutists, as defined by the law of war, is when pilots, aircrews, and passengers are attacked while descending by parachute from disabled or functioning aircraft during wartime. The practice is widely considered to be inhumane and, consequently, such parachutists are considered hors de combat under the Protocol I addition to the 1949 Geneva Conventions, meaning that attacking them is a war crime. Firing on airborne forces who are descending by parachute (i.e. paratroopers) is not prohibited under CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES”.
