Well, the contractor got killed by the emission and I ended up being stuck with a permanent companion. I hope he's doing well, saved my ass when disabling the Brainscorcher, told him to stay put in a room while I ran ahead to the controls. Disabled the Brainscorcher and of course an ass ton of monolith spawn. I immediately started hearing gunfire. Hiding behind cover and holding off the onslaught of fanatics coming for me, Vitkya was having his own John Wick situation. when I finally got to him, there were around eight possibly ten dead Monolith strewn around him; several with exo-suites, as well. As he stood amongst the corpses with his UMP I gave him, just living his best NPC life. Yeah needless to say "nerds with guns" is an understatement. He disappeared one day, (taking my best merc suite and UMP with him, but they were gifts I suppose). I wonder where he went off to, maybe the Zone realized our adventures together were stretched to the max or were well overdue. Maybe the Zone knew that this friendship or partnership was born out of a cosmic mistake, such is the tapestry of logic the Monolith engine weaves, imperfect, impermanent and yet hauntingly beautiful. Such is the zone.
Got caught by a psy storm once in agroprom. Barely made it into the big complex in the north, all dissy. Had to lay down for 3 hours irl shit got me motion sick

@grok_gamma clear sky and ecologist questline missions have very low rewards, you literally can spend 3 times less effort and still earn more from random tasks
@@randomlurker8515 Clear Sky questline gives a gunsmith tools which can be a pain in the ass to get + nice amounts of roubles + tons of gear thanks to the NPCs you kill + tons of medications (and it actually teaches you to use defense boost injectors basically). These missions aren't hard because the NPCs are highly predictable. For Ecologists, well the story is quite long and the artefacts aren't really hard to get.

First of all, congratulations! I'm curious about the potential bugs or stability issues you encountered as well as the potential new performance boosts with the last patch ;) . Last update indeed made the game easier. It was on purpose because some stuff were definitely too unfair. So indeed, if you already are an hardened player, Invictus with the latest update is finally """""easily"""""" reachable. Meaning, it's much less random if you know what you are doing, namely, no more boars run killers. The classic run killer are still the controllers though, but if you max out (as in, 100% psy res with drugs as per the sum of your gear defenses), it smooth sailing. The ADAR also helped a lot to make the start easier. I might nerf it a little bit with no AP ammo + a bit stronger muzzle climb (recoil is good already). I like the military point attack in swamp: "loot not crazy" > Green Barrel SVD hahahaha You can fast travel while over loaded with the "guide fast travel" system (right click any POI on the map > guide fast travel). I'm preparing a hidden "master" difficulty at some point. But the major changes will be to the story, with new challenging boss fights that will for sure be run killers if not prepared properly. But as usual, if you know what you are doing and prepare well, it will be smooth sailing.
Basic Anomaly was so fun with Monolith Rocket Launchers; a Stalker had to be on the lookout for those guys in Red Forest and the Barrier mission was so dificult because of it. I will definitely play "master" difficulty if there are RL and GL (not sure if possible to make NPC shoot underbarrel grenades), it's really a thing for me since the SoC.
Imagine mutants eating artifacts and gaining the their protective powers ... until they die by themselves from the radiation. The later you kill them, the fewer hitpoints they have, the worse contition the artifact is. Could be a good sidequest, too: "Yesterday I watched a chimera stroll around an artifact field after an emission ... better make sure it dies soon or we might have people vanishing more than usual. I don't want to imagine how the attack of an invisible chimera would go down ..."
Dear Cheeki Breeki, i already had so much fun watching nearly all of Your stalker related series and videos in the past, but this one is your absolut masterpiece. Back then countless times i was yelling at my screen "Hit Your shots, man!" or "Dont stay in inventory while in a fight!" or "Dont be so greedy, dont loot that soon, take it slow!". For this run it was sooo goddamn satisfying watching You doing it all right and with all the little luck You deserved. I realized that over the time You were much more of my "mentor" than i thought. I do things very equal in my runs, ecept using Phantom, Explosives or the Knot. Prefere to go bullet by bullet. Totaly agree to the "satisfaction-curve" of each run, You discribe: Once You get Expert-Tools, Spartan and UNSIG Nosorog the game is somehow "over". Although it is hard to let it go for a new run. I want to say thank You for all that good entertaining and teaching aswell. Appreciate Your high quality content here very much. It's fun to see people make comments about how they did/do their different runs and how they play Anomaly in general. Because I am still at my second run, despite already having spend a high three digit number of hours with the game, and a lot of things are not a problem for me, because I've switched them off... :D But that's what I love so much about Anomaly, I have never played a game that was so insanely customizable and as hard or as relaxed as you want.

I always thought that more armored enemies spawn based on days in the zone + disabling brain scorcher (enables achievement to allow more stalkers in the north) - for isg/monolit nosorog farm. + i believe there's special superheavy nosorog guys in some factions from day one (Dootie nosorog guy on the road from Garbage) to try your luck on. Am i wrong about days, correct me someone.

@@whatdadogdoin8703 it's probably connected to your "looting skill" unless it halfway to the maximum you have some % chance to lose some loot on corpses, any loot. You Just were "extra lucky" for it to be nosorog)
There really is no game like this, that has the same feel and atmosphere. There are some great games around that might come close but the GAMMA mod for me is the absolute king. Great vid Cheeki. Still astounds me that you don't have more subs.

If nothing else, this shows just how touch and go the hobo stage can be.. By the point you had the NOSOROG, you were basically on cruise control anyway since you had great artifacts. That said, it was great to finally see you get Invictus, regardless of how you did it! Great vid~~!

So what I'm gathering is if you don't start with a primary weapon you can't play ironman. Wanna see a version of this where you start with a makarov, leather jacket, a stick of sausage, a bottle of water, a bottle of vodka, and a pack of smokes. Nothing else.
Taking breaks is incredibly important, even if it's from the stuff you used to never get enough of. You did the right thing. I returned to Guild Wars 2 from a 6-month break because an in-game friend said they'd missed me on New Year's. Pressing pause on that stuff was absolutely necessary when I left, but right now I'm actually having more fun again than *ever* before in this game. Sometimes the mind, or maybe the soul, has to refresh. Glad to see you returned and enjoy yourself. I, personally, can definitely see me watching Dark Souls videos of yours or similar stuff as well, by the way! S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is a very unique game series, but it does feel like some sort of soulslike. The vibe is there. Even without the soulslike mod!
1:42:05 you can turn it off, but only way to do so is to turn off the whole "voiced actor" mod , it also would turn off his comments about jammed weapon, or character moaning when hit etc. I personally prefer it turned off because i understand that language and it's annoys the hell out of me to hear character swearing so mush and using so much slurs in his yelling.
Never played Stalker before, and kinda got into Gamma by chance (it scratches a weird itch I've been having for years), currently on my first playthrough ever, will probably try to do the main questline/s and all that but I really really want to get into ironman, I've been loving how harsh it is to play with Hard+Survivalist+Agony+Campfire+Hardcore AI Aim.
Congrats man, love to see it! Quick question: some of the anomalies in your vid seem different in looks, like blue orbs and those golden pulsating half spheres. Is this some extra mod in the pack? Or something to be enabled maybe? Thank you in advance for letting me know.
Oh and there are a few questlines which give nice rewards. The Military questline to infiltrate the labs and later assault the CNPP/Generators give a fully repaired Veresk somewhere in the middle and a Compass at the end. The Ecologists artifact hunts can be done easily while artifact hunting and reward a talking stone artifact with the last quest, getting it from the meat grinder in the middle of the generators. You can choose to keep the talking stone or give it to the scientists and get a "letter of cemmendation" as reward lol. One Scientist is in the swamps, the next in yantar, next in dark valley, the one with the most interesting quests in army warehouses, then one in jupiter, one in zaton and finally on at CNPP north.
It's not as popular but maybe give EFP (Escape From Pripyat) a shot. It's a bit less survival focused (repairing and crafting and stuff) and more about gunplay and combat. It does have mag redux which means you have to buy and load magazines and manage all that, but you can disable that. EFP also works way better with Warfare mode, if you like Warfare
Small tip: You can craft a multitool for dirt cheap once you get basic tools, no need to spend 5000 roubles on that in the early game. Enjoying the run a lot, watched 120 minutes in one sitting lol

First of all, good video. It's very rare for me to watch videos with more than an hour duration at all and especially if it's Gameplay, but you somehow keep me invested, good stuff. 😊 Regarding hip - she's getting a lot better if you give her some full auto gun you don't need (or a decent shotgun) and allow her to kill some things. It will be everything between hilariously funny and insufferably painful to watch at first, but gets better increasingly fast when she ranks up.
It seems like the thing that really trivializes the game is more your tendency to spend hours artifact hunting than any particular piece of kit. If you didn't periodically spend hours artifact hunting I have to imagine things would have been a little bit more difficult.
it is only fair that the armors that is rare and earned only after a long time is powerful. There is nothing weird in being amused and enjoying it (why would the pioneers of the zone not procure themselves highly survivable years, it is theirs objectives to survive and make money). One could argue, it is bizarre to abuse enemy spawn by placing bombs where they will appear. Or that wanting to grind a long time for no reward is bizarre. Or that wanting to have to “aim down sight” to hit someone not even one meters away for you (otherwise your bullet will somehow phase through your barrel and lodge themselves in everything but your target in a cartoonish manner) is the real bizarre,

Been playing GAMMA for maybe a couple of weeks now and I gotta say I love GAMMA a lot, unfortunately my luck isn't quite as good as you! My luckiest find so far was a MP-413 REX I found that just needed a barrel, hoping I can fix up a 9mm AUG I found as well, but idk. Your luck is absolutely astronomical with those weapons and such (or maybe it's not luck at all and I'm just bad lmao)

okay bro , yknow how you can put items in chests , well if you have a full inventory like that then you can place every single item you have inside the rattay armoursmiths chests , ( and it can be any item not just armor ) then go outside and get urself arrested somehow. serve the jail time and when you get out he will have a SHITLOAD OF GROSCHEN. steal it from the chest, along with all your stuff you put in there hide in home chest until he has 2k groshen and you will only have to do one loot run ever , its like when bender has a quarter tied to his finger for a suicide booth.
It's such a DICK MOVE for that Living Legend questline to send you off on a wild goose chase only for the next guy to say "Oh yeah you've gotta go back and speak to Librarian in the Swamps" - like... bro, Librarian, you knew I was doing this quest, and you had the info all along? Then why did you sit back and watch me run off up north FFS? I know the quest locations are procedurally generated but come on lol
I feel like running nosorog with all the artefacts at the end is absolutely badass, you're almost top on the leaderboard, you've worked your way to the top, you're supposed to be a force to be reckoned with, not some random dude that gets hit 3 times and dies. It's the same thing in RPGs, you level your way up to a point where you're slapping everyone around, it's like a reward for your time.
Fun fact: I got an AK-101 at 93% with basically perfect parts from the first merc that I ever killed :). Also why aren't you equipping a pistol to your melee slot? I mean it isn't much but a pistol is better than a knife right? Or is the ammo for it too cumbersome. I really need some enlightenment there
That Winchester lever rifle is badass! Didnt know there were lever guns in the game. What caliber is the lever gun? Is it the Russian made Winchester in 7.62X54? Or is it a 45-70?

Great content, thanks for making it. Thanks to you, now I too am suffering in trying to make an invictus. There is one difficulty or bug that I can’t figure out. Maybe there is a solution? Having strengthened the artifact with another of the same kind, for example, up to 47%, and putting it away in the cache and loading the game for tomorrow, the artifact again has a low quality of 23 initial ones.
Just got into this amazing game a couple months ago and I've put in about 40hrs learning mechanics, crafting, etc, and you got further in the story mission in the first ten minutes of this video. Amazing how this game has absolutely taken all my attention and I could have been playing it years ago. Kinda wish I'd have a couple years of GAMMA and other modpacks before Stalker 2 releases
Oh also, if you turn off "G.A.M.M.A. Voiced Actor" in Mod Organizer, you will be allowed to enjoy the Zone in peace once more. I *had* to find a way to turn it off when I played as a merc.
Yeah the winchester is a fucking monster of a rifle. The only downsides I've found for this weapon has been the reload time and the price of the ammo. Started playing Gamma recently, on a warzone run just for fun I tested it and absolutely loved the weapon. On my first story run I found it in one of the golden stashes and managed to repair it in full condition. It is 100% sticking with me till the end of the run.
I think hunters kit has a chance to double thr material after yoy take it. Example: a chimera drops 1 meat and 2 claws. With the hunters kit you can get 2 chimera meat or 3-4 claws. Someone might have already comented this but im too lazy to read comments.
At 1:00:11 he gets an extra life. Does that count for invictus, because you can die once correct? So after dying twice you can only get the murky spirit achievement? I wanna start a run, but never did it before.

I'm planning to update my computer for Stalker 2 and I would like to play Gamma ironman for all the contents when I make the upgrade too but is there a way to turn off traders not selling guns? I heard that it was a feature in gamma and I dont like it. Guns can become pricier in a mod but it takes away somehow the immersion for me

Nosorogs chances are also artificially lowered, even if you drop one there is a chance it will disappear on your own eyes in looting screen

There really is no game like this, that has the same feel and atmosphere. There are some great games around that might come close but the GAMMA mod for me is the absolute king. Great vid Cheeki. Still astounds me that you don't have more subs.

If nothing else, this shows just how touch and go the hobo stage can be.. By the point you had the NOSOROG, you were basically on cruise control anyway since you had great artifacts. That said, it was great to finally see you get Invictus, regardless of how you did it! Great vid~~!

Taking breaks is incredibly important, even if it's from the stuff you used to never get enough of. You did the right thing. I returned to Guild Wars 2 from a 6-month break because an in-game friend said they'd missed me on New Year's. Pressing pause on that stuff was absolutely necessary when I left, but right now I'm actually having more fun again than *ever* before in this game. Sometimes the mind, or maybe the soul, has to refresh. Glad to see you returned and enjoy yourself. I, personally, can definitely see me watching Dark Souls videos of yours or similar stuff as well, by the way! S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is a very unique game series, but it does feel like some sort of soulslike. The vibe is there. Even without the soulslike mod!

1:42:05 you can turn it off, but only way to do so is to turn off the whole "voiced actor" mod , it also would turn off his comments about jammed weapon, or character moaning when hit etc. I personally prefer it turned off because i understand that language and it's annoys the hell out of me to hear character swearing so mush and using so much slurs in his yelling.

Never played Stalker before, and kinda got into Gamma by chance (it scratches a weird itch I've been having for years), currently on my first playthrough ever, will probably try to do the main questline/s and all that but I really really want to get into ironman, I've been loving how harsh it is to play with Hard+Survivalist+Agony+Campfire+Hardcore AI Aim.

Oh and there are a few questlines which give nice rewards. The Military questline to infiltrate the labs and later assault the CNPP/Generators give a fully repaired Veresk somewhere in the middle and a Compass at the end. The Ecologists artifact hunts can be done easily while artifact hunting and reward a talking stone artifact with the last quest, getting it from the meat grinder in the middle of the generators. You can choose to keep the talking stone or give it to the scientists and get a "letter of cemmendation" as reward lol. One Scientist is in the swamps, the next in yantar, next in dark valley, the one with the most interesting quests in army warehouses, then one in jupiter, one in zaton and finally on at CNPP north.

GAMMA is great, but the crafting and repair system is a huge turn off for me. Can't bring myself to play it.
It's not as popular but maybe give EFP (Escape From Pripyat) a shot. It's a bit less survival focused (repairing and crafting and stuff) and more about gunplay and combat. It does have mag redux which means you have to buy and load magazines and manage all that, but you can disable that. EFP also works way better with Warfare mode, if you like Warfare

Regarding hip - she's getting a lot better if you give her some full auto gun you don't need (or a decent shotgun) and allow her to kill some things. It will be everything between hilariously funny and insufferably painful to watch at first, but gets better increasingly fast when she ranks up.

It seems like the thing that really trivializes the game is more your tendency to spend hours artifact hunting than any particular piece of kit. If you didn't periodically spend hours artifact hunting I have to imagine things would have been a little bit more difficult.
it is only fair that the armors that is rare and earned only after a long time is powerful. There is nothing weird in being amused and enjoying it (why would the pioneers of the zone not procure themselves highly survivable years, it is theirs objectives to survive and make money). One could argue, it is bizarre to abuse enemy spawn by placing bombs where they will appear. Or that wanting to grind a long time for no reward is bizarre.
Or that wanting to have to “aim down sight” to hit someone not even one meters away for you (otherwise your bullet will somehow phase through your barrel and lodge themselves in everything but your target in a cartoonish manner) is the real bizarre,

Been playing GAMMA for maybe a couple of weeks now and I gotta say I love GAMMA a lot, unfortunately my luck isn't quite as good as you! My luckiest find so far was a MP-413 REX I found that just needed a barrel, hoping I can fix up a 9mm AUG I found as well, but idk. Your luck is absolutely astronomical with those weapons and such (or maybe it's not luck at all and I'm just bad lmao)

okay bro , yknow how you can put items in chests , well if you have a full inventory like that then you can place every single item you have inside the rattay armoursmiths chests , ( and it can be any item not just armor ) then go outside and get urself arrested somehow. serve the jail time and when you get out he will have a SHITLOAD OF GROSCHEN. steal it from the chest, along with all your stuff you put in there hide in home chest until he has 2k groshen and you will only have to do one loot run ever , its like when bender has a quarter tied to his finger for a suicide booth.
It's such a DICK MOVE for that Living Legend questline to send you off on a wild goose chase only for the next guy to say "Oh yeah you've gotta go back and speak to Librarian in the Swamps" - like... bro, Librarian, you knew I was doing this quest, and you had the info all along? Then why did you sit back and watch me run off up north FFS?

Since the Christmas update, I've had controllers consistently move in packs of 5. Has made for some interesting encounters.
I feel like running nosorog with all the artefacts at the end is absolutely badass, you're almost top on the leaderboard, you've worked your way to the top, you're supposed to be a force to be reckoned with, not some random dude that gets hit 3 times and dies. It's the same thing in RPGs, you level your way up to a point where you're slapping everyone around, it's like a reward for your time.
Fun fact: I got an AK-101 at 93% with basically perfect parts from the first merc that I ever killed :). Also why aren't you equipping a pistol to your melee slot? I mean it isn't much but a pistol is better than a knife right? Or is the ammo for it too cumbersome. I really need some enlightenment there
That Winchester lever rifle is badass! Didnt know there were lever guns in the game. What caliber is the lever gun? Is it the Russian made Winchester in 7.62X54? Or is it a 45-70?

Great content, thanks for making it. Thanks to you, now I too am suffering in trying to make an invictus. There is one difficulty or bug that I can’t figure out. Maybe there is a solution? Having strengthened the artifact with another of the same kind, for example, up to 47%, and putting it away in the cache and loading the game for tomorrow, the artifact again has a low quality of 23 initial ones.

Just got into this amazing game a couple months ago and I've put in about 40hrs learning mechanics, crafting, etc, and you got further in the story mission in the first ten minutes of this video. Amazing how this game has absolutely taken all my attention and I could have been playing it years ago. Kinda wish I'd have a couple years of GAMMA and other modpacks before Stalker 2 releases

Yeah the winchester is a fucking monster of a rifle. The only downsides I've found for this weapon has been the reload time and the price of the ammo.
Started playing Gamma recently, on a warzone run just for fun I tested it and absolutely loved the weapon. On my first story run I found it in one of the golden stashes and managed to repair it in full condition. It is 100% sticking with me till the end of the run.
I think hunters kit has a chance to double thr material after yoy take it.
Example: a chimera drops 1 meat and 2 claws. With the hunters kit you can get 2 chimera meat or 3-4 claws.
