Good to see the OperatorDrewski Anime is holding close to the manga, it really went downhill in season 2 but it was still a rollercoaster of good times, season 1 was awesome, but had a lot of filler content to stretch the season, let’s hope S3 holds up

That's what I love about this game and this gamemode. You can have such cinematic battles organically and make a lot of interesting memories. It's one thing playing through a scripted mission, it's another when you're with your buddy in the city of Kavala and there's a ship off the coast bombarding the fuck out of you, destroying buildings, and you're trying to find cover while literally everything around you is exploding
I'd say much more visceral than call of duty, it honestly gave me chills because it reminded me of reality...and by reality I mean my own reality, when I was in the military either night mission or pre deployment training at night, looks exactly like this looked...I can see why they use this engine for actual training. It captures the reality of real warefare really well to the point I got a little uncomfortable watching this.
I'm gonna be honest my favorite part of arma as an infantry unit is seeing someone rock up with an AT stick, calling "RPG RPG!" over the short range, hearing a "thoomp" and seeing a puff of smoke and a big shell of metal come flying over your head and blowing up behind you in a near miss.
As a veteran who has done things at night, under NVG's, that airfield stuff gave me chills and that part was a little uncomfortable to watch lol. Pretty awesome...Arma is insane, I can see why they use this engine for training irl... really captures the reality of it, I don't think it can get that much more visceral as far as simulation tbh.
Watching the different kinds of tracers fly all over the place is absolutely stunning. Although i cant imagine actually experiencing something like that IRL, that must have been an experience.
@@snowjix yeah tracers at night are pretty cool. The game captures that well too. When they ricochet etc, it's just like that in real life actually seeing the rounds bounce... I think Arma still has the most realistic ballistic simulation as well. There's a lot of IRL footage around to see stuff like that so you can at least see it through video, which still captures the essence, without all the suck that is being in the military to experience lol.

Its also always fun to have someone with IRL experience saying the same thing, so thank you for sharing that :)
In my -onion-, I disagree with you. I think that his style of content doesn't fit the theme that is given opening. Though in some faster pace action-filled videos, I will.
I've never played ARMA but the fight in the woods is funny to me because when it goes quiet for a second you can still hear bugs and birds, just... hanging out while bombs explode around them.
Damn. The planning section around 19:00 minutes was so incredibly atmospheric. I'm only just discovering this channel but I am adoring the mix of goofiness, tactics and atmosphere. Can't wait to watch more.
Hello Drewski! For the ATGM rounds, they are laser guided. This mean that you need someone to go in the commander seat and laser the target for you, then you need to shoot the ATGM straight in the sky and it will head to it's target. (It also avoid the terrain so you can basically ask someone to laser your target with a drone and then you can press R to lock the laser and shot it from behind a hill for example)
This video reminded me of a very important school of thought. "Fire without movement is a waste, and movement without fire is suicide." When ambushed like this, push through the objective (enemies) and try not to get held up in one place, because they will already have IDF zeroed in on your cover.
I know he’s been playing this game for years but it’s so impressive how he can almost single handedly fight off 10+ enemies in a firefight where they have the high ground. True skills. I’d get absolutely rekt.
Smokes are more effective when you remove the 'blastcore' mod. Blastcore makes smoke from smoke grenedes scanty, with line of sight possible through them and making them ineffective. Also you will get no benefit from the 'splendid smoke' mod if you have blastcore on. Would hhave been very useful at 30:55. Love you videos Drew, you made me play antistasi again.
Been really enjoying these Antistasi videos. It's a mixture of fun, realism, the horror of war, but also the comedy of it too. Edit: The Airfield assault is so freaking cool. The fact that it appears to be NATO's last stand, on top of CSAT attacking, does a good job at making it a true 3 Way battle with it being a (good) clusterf- lol.
The last time I played Antistasi I had a "Stone Wall" Jackson moment, we were kicking ass lately so after a small skirmish I found a tank. A litteraly TANK by itself unattended, thought to myself "Heyyy War Trophy!" Brought along to HQ and FAT fingered the radio to announce "Oi, I'm coming back with a Tank". NO RESPONSE, so as soon i reach the crest of the Hill FIVE RPG rockets clustered the hell out of me and killed myself & the tank. Which also included alerting the general area of our HQ.... To be fair, my fault.
Bro, for a second there I got so caught up when you guys were briefing the assault plan by the airfield that I felt the night air and the tension. It totally brought me back. Good s%!t man. Love your stuff.
Sooo I stole that tank with coffee and one other guy and we used it to support our squad on that CSAT outpost on the airfield. After the main attack on it we took it back and stored it then returned to battle on foot. It was AWESOME to say the least
I enjoy playing solo antistasi as it's very difficult although if everyone had these graphics and fps along with a ton of people who are coordinated and having fun it'd be 10x better

But rather, a small segment in some intros that show the cast for the vid with a cool opening like you did here, it was absolutely phenomenal. -CPU, currently writing during a VERY important test
at like 5:35 when you use the javelin you have to first go into night vision by pressing N if youre using default controls then hold tab and it will lock, the javelin is great because it locks onto any heat signatures but it has the fraw back that you have to be in heat vision

These Arma 3 videos got me to try multiplayer for the first time in that game. I didn't want to download and mess with any mods so I tried some vanilla Warlords on an official server. It was fun until someone hacked the server and everybody lost their gear.

Says a lot about Arma 3 that, despite CoD et al and EFT, it's still so damned fun to watch.
The best part for me in arma is not the combat but getting to sit with your buddies and shoot the shit when waiting in game.
