- Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor and defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo discuss picking Michigan defensive tackle Kris Jenkins as the 49th overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft.
They took offensive tackle Amarius Mims with the No. 18 pick on Thursday night. They came back in round two and added defensive line help.

I want to thank Zac, Lou & others for recognizing that they needed someone like Kris...a little disappointed that the Titans drafted Sweat but I think that they hit it outta the park!

I like that Kris's skill set is stopping the run. You need that in the AFC North, especially losing Reader.. He's dad was and All Pro DT in the NFL, too. I was hoping to get Newton, but hopefully Kris can prove me wrong!
I like Kris Jenkins. Every time I watched the Michigan Wolverines he was the most instinctive player on the field,with a motor that never stops. He’s constantly around the ball,making tackles in the backfield and always around the ball. When Michigan made that run in the college football championship Kris Jenkins name was called a lot during those big games and he was their best defensive player. Glad we have a great football player and a captain on this team.
Loving this, lets keep building up those trenches.

The draft reenergized me. tre and tee requesting trades was a bummer. Tobin did so good with this draft I’m ready to see what they can in the jungle

Hopefully you asked Kris Jenkins how much of an advantage it was to always know the offensive opponents plays during the course of the last three years!!! I mean hell, it had to have made a huge difference!!
I was hoping the bengals got sweat or newton, but kris jenkins is still a great pick! his father was a multiple time all-pro DT so it's kind of in the bloodline of him being good. he will be a great nose tackle. hopefully, he improves when it comes to pass rush, but that's what sheldon rankins is for so we should be fine.
I'm not sold on Sweat, sure he's got the size, but Jenkins is a much better athlete.
@@Jason-Austin sweat fits better with what the bengals needed which is a true nose tackle, but kris jenkins was still a great pick so I can't complain
In the later rounds still try and get Sweat from Texas
unfortunately, he was drafted at #38 by the titans.
