Great video guys, you're hilarious and a bit nuts for being out in this heat. The beginning of the video with the wind blowing, I half expected to see Jeff Williams playing soccer with a tumbleweed.
I agree buckets are more efficient. Easier to fill a bucket and not burn fuel. Then batch it into the machine for a shorter processing time. I’ve used most of your tips but good ground is hard to find. You also might think about investing some of that gold in upgrading your dry washer. The newer versions don’t run through cloth as fast with a drop zone that helps distribute the sand more evenly and bumpers to stabilize the tray instead of the boulderdash patented rock. Just saying because all these tips are worth their weight in gold! I’m happy with .15 grams for a days outing in the desert. Thanks for sharing. ⚒
Hey, to solve Your dust issue... K&N has an expanded foam prefilter, it comes in dozens of prefab sizes or in sheets. If You call K&N & ask for a specific design they will special order for extremely fair prices. It's a red open cell foam, You can buy it in sheets, roll it up so it slides into that pipe, & go all day without stopping. It should work dry with perfection, but if it's letting anything thru You want to filter You can spray it with a light oil or silicone before installation.
Great video my friend, you guys really nailed it on the vacuuming, got to be thorough. I vacuumed up several grams in Oregon from folks that left gold in the hole, easiest gold I ever got, don't need to run the overburden. Keep'em coming, I will keep on watching. I will be back in AZ in OCT. Prospector Paul, out!
I’m digging that marker above Boulder Dash’s head while explaining not to ‘one shovel at a time’ your dry washer! Another great video with solid lessons from the field!
You guys Always have the best DWashin vids... and the comedy/comments you say are friken hilarious... Best tip Ever is That Rock Tip!!.. (people ) when your running dirt, Put your finger on the rear middle spot where Boulderdash has his rock string... ( it instantly changes that riffle bed, and youll see why they use the rock) Best Tip Ever Guys.. thanks.. love ur vids!
Great video guys and good tips as always, when alone or in an area we have to carry material to the machine I use buckets, but when we have a couple folks working we keep a feed pile. Like working on a hillside with the drywasher right next to the material we are running we simply shovel, one feeds the machine and clears the grizzly while the others maintain a pile for the other to keep a full hopper. Like you said even flow is very important!
i changed mine to a small 12 volt variable speed motor with a weight on it to control my vibration and then the fan for my airflow so I can control them separately.
Thanks guys for all the tips and tricks. It's hard to find good cloth for the dry washer, not a fan of the stuff they sell at the prospector store. Nice gold for a couple of hours out in the summer sun. Good luck and be safe.
As usual guys nice gold! And doing it the right way save time and effort and muscle power. Don't forget to drink your water! Every 15 minutes or so take a sip or three!
I love watching you guys. I know you guys are seasoned at these desert summers, but I have to say it, drink electrolytes not just regular water when you’re out under the sun. Keep the vids coming!!!! 🤗
I noticed that you guys don’t have the rubber bumpers on the end of the box. Would you still recommend the rock hanging from the end if you have the rubber bumpers?
Yeah so the new models have those rubber bumpers. My understanding is that its supposed to help vibrate the grizzly box on top. There is no way that does any good in my opinion. Over engineering !
Fun lesson! You two make a great team and obviously enjoy what you do! I have to wonder how many guys who dry wash are named Dusty? That poor overheated gold needs a cool northern retirement home😉!
Would like to see a clean up on overburden and vacuum separate cleanup to see if it’s worth vacuuming, my experience is not worth vacuuming. I usually don’t have bedrock or solid calache bottom
@@IBRAKEFORBEDROCK , oh well, doesn't hurt to ask. I'll have to check the BLM office here about the gold claims in Coolgardie and around Ord Mtn...Placer claims at the first, and hard rock at the second.
Hey i lost you the other day, and couldn't get back to you. I was not in anyway putting your work down. I hope what i said would be taken to heart by other dry washers. Don't feed to fast, etc. A couple of friends and i find nuggets, small ones like .12, .31 and i've even found a .93 gram . Thanks for your videos. I always am looking for helpful hints that i can use. The point i was trying to make is for people to use them. I agree the Keene 151s is a gold slayer; when you use it right.
How are you? I heard you worked with Keith a little bit to look at a mine out near you. (Keith didn't say, but heard from a friend, lol). I have worked with Keith in the past as well. Wondering if you know of any lode properties for lease? Hope you are well, love the videos.
Do you classify your material down for the dry washer first? i see a few larger pebbles in there. my claim is dry and full of river cobbles shoved down by a glacier. Should i just pick out the bigger rocks or classify down first?
What's the biggest Arizona nugget you've found drywashing? In an average year how many would you find bigger than 3/8? is it really that valuable to (in your opinion) screen material larger than 3/8 (1/2, 3/4) for the bigger pieces to be banging around the material in the recovery tray to loosen small gold?
Man thats just to many questions. Dont over think this stuff. We always lose gold over the screen , but if you dont know , then it doesent matter. As for fine gold , when set up properly , the dry washer doesent lose much
What made u choose that particular area to dry wash ? We’re u in a small wash or runoff on the side if a hill? Thank you nice gold you guys are inspiring!👍👍👍
Question for you because I know you have a Keene 140 or 141. Have you ever had to spray the counter weight. At times it does not start and does not seem to shake the box lots.
You guys need to quit giving out such GREAT tips end tricks. If people do what you are recommending then there will not be any gold left for that next generation of prospectors. Lol Thanks again for another great video. Loved the opening sound effects.
Absolutely not. Just fill buckets, and run them when you dont have any more to fill up. If you shovel into it, its not going to run properly and you`ll just wear yourself out.

we just hand pick the bigger rocks out and throw it all on the hopper. No need for classifying , as thats what the screen is for on top of the hopper.

I noticed the spring attached to the chain seemed stronger than my friends 151. Did you change out the spring?
Yes they wear out after thousands of buckets
A good suggestion would be to blow the cloth out
Yes, vacuum or blow it out. A clean cloth is critical
My dry washer has no moving parts, moves material a lot faster with a steeper pitch.
You’ll find that, the steeper the pitch the further down the riffles gold will go
@@IBRAKEFORBEDROCK The riffles on my dry washer are round to facilitate the flow of gravels.
Guys, would you say a 151 is too big for 1guy to run?
Absolutely not. Just fill buckets, and run them when you dont have any more to fill up.
