@Fatin Marwat I have tje achievement but i dont remember it beeing "the most fun nation to play" bcoz of the amount of resets i did. It was however satisfying once ive beaten castille.
@Fatin Marwat I recommend the skanderbro strat. U start the game improving with albania. If otto declares on albania first u ally them, join the war and beat them with venice. U then separate peace for edirne and maybe kocaeli or biga and transfer all of land to albania. Then albania gives you your cores back in his peacedeal.
A good start is to ally Morrocco and/or Tunis (restart if they both rival you). Then invade Tlemcen while promising land to one of them, you can usually let one of them kill the army and nab a bunch of free provinces. That should make you big enough and close enough to get the Ottoman Alliance. Plus the Morrocco-Tunis Alliance is usually enough to stop Castile from attacking. Once you get in bed with the Ottomans turn on your old allies one at a time.
It still baffles me how rich the Dutch were. The Dutch East India Company was worth 7.9 Trillion dollars in today's money in it's hay day from 1602 - 1796, being dismantled 3 years later. @@charlieread2097 How did they get control of the land? They fought unjust wars solely for profit, committed countless war crimes and atrocities. Alzabo, this Top 10 series is marvellous. You must continue making them as long as the ideas are available! Since you keep mentioning the English Channel being the best trade node in the game, a Top 10 Trade Nodes in EU4 would be interesting to see.
Certainly. The more interesting thing to answer, however, is which nodes come after it. There are a lot of factors to play in, such as the trade goods featured, how easy it is to conquer and/or colonize, whether the node is in a good position for future expansion, its flexibility (i.e. do you need to control the entire node for it to be effective, or does it have special provinces such as possible gold), and the national ideas of the most likely owners of that node.
@@michaelmuller6890 The Lubeck trade node should easily be on that list. Champagne and Sevilla as well. As for importance, having control of the Cape can possibly be the single most important factor of who makes money or not in some games. Here’s a tip for a fun nation in india: sirhind. For those who don’t know what makes them so fun, in the beggining of the game, you will get a event that will give you units and decleare war on Delhi. You have a insanely good general at the start, so my tips would be: annex delhi and make jangladesh your vassal, then steamroll everyone, if you do it quick enough, your only enemy is aggressive expansion and coalitions, you can also convert to sikhism and if you are still punjabi, you can form the nation of Punjab, with mediocre ideas.
I always felt like Great Britain was the most powerful, and also the most entertaining as in one year i'm losing more than 20 ducats a month and the next i'm making over 25. They also have the Anglican and Parliament mechanics as well which do wonders. They also, in my opinion, have the most satisfying and suspenseful campaign as you struggle to fend off the French and your people. You also don't need a main army, other than to crush rebellions, since your navy just chews up anyone that dares cross into the English channel.
I mean, there is some fun BM to doing it as Ryukyu, and their flag looks amazing, but it really isn't much different from playing Ashikaga, or any other daimyo. Anyway, my personal favorite countries are mesoamericans (especially mayans) and Japanese Daimyo. I seriously urge anyone who hasn't tried it to attempt playing as a mesoamerican nation. Trying to reform your religion and unite your home region before the Europeans arrive is both extremely satisfying and fun. When the Europeans arrive it can be a frustrating start, but once you get some footing it feels amazing to get some vengeance for your IRL counterparts.
Definitely true. The cool thing about doing it as Ryukyu is that it unlocks more achievements, though. The new ability to change governments to independent daimyo is also not widely known. Thanks for the feedback!
Fun fact. IRL it was the polish king of Lietuva that chose to become king of Poland but they where become an elective monarchy anyway as the other kandidates where saxon and electable.
Carib has been incredibly fun to play for me. Rush to the shore, focus on admin tech so you can get exploration ASAP and rush the most powerful trade node in the new world. If you're lucky Portugal will make some half-assed attempts at colonization (getting them overrun but maintaining the religion and institutions) meaning that you can convert to christianity and get feudalism and renaissance very early on. After you get a good amount of provinces in the caribean, it's easy to make a fleet large enough to kick the Portuguese out with very little resistance. After securing the caribean, focus on west africa so you can redirect all that sweet east indies cash to your home region and leave Europe impoverished.
I love playing as Florence, it turns into Tuscany, then turns into Italy and eventually revive the Roman Empire. Before the new patches I use to play a lot as Hansa.
@@manlyman2347 You do realise, Turks still use the arabic welcome for bairam while the bosniaks use the turkish welcome? Also Kurds are a seperate people deserving of their own nation or at least autonomy. And while we're at how civilized you are, I nearly got run over on a red light(for the cars).
@@gaiusjuliuscaesar3808 I'm not a muslim Turk so I don't welcome anyone for bayram. And for the krds, It's not same with any other seperatist movement. They started being seperatist when westerners started tempting them in early XIX century. They had no intentions in being independent since they weren't living in these conditions before Devlet-i Aliyye(the official name of the Ottoman Empire, means The Great Country) conquered the land. In the short hand the seperatist movement was found by British, and now is under American control. If they somehow can manage to cut off the bound they will stop being seperatist for sure. And for the traffic thing you said, you're right that It's really terrible In Turkey. But I must say, In Turkey there's a lot of nomad type ethnic groups and they were free to live as they wish for a long time, they were left on their own in education to show how independent they are in this country and they make 10 children per family(mostly seen in krds). They drop out from schools even without graduating from highschool. And the state gives them driving license without looking if the person is civilized or not, and the last excuse for this, is most drivers got their license more than 20-25 years ago and their knowledge are outdated. The state must do something but you know who is ruling at the moment.
That Children's Crusade joke reminds me, in my most recent game I supported them financially and they actually succeeded--apparently being supported by literal angels from the heavens during their invasion--and lasted a solid century before getting conquered again. I later got the sword of the guy who led the conquest. I don't even know how it ended up in my possession, honestly. It just appeared one day.
For me Afghanistan is the most fun Nation. Forming into the Mughals is very satisfying. Wallachia is also a good choice as you are surrounded by giants and any starting war would be David vs Goliath Scenario. But if you survive you could go on to impale the Sultan himself!!! (Its a mission)
My favorite nation to play is Provence, they start sharing dynasty with France, their ideas give the unique + 2 diplomatic relations and they have so many paths: they are able to join the HRE then become emperor with their oriented national ideas, colonize from an invaded Brittany or take Naples back from Aragon then Aragon from Castile with strong allies via transfer vassal peace deals to dominate the Genoa trade node. Just don't start with the Pope as a rival.
I do! Recently moved to the city and digging it so far. Been in France for years but the dialect always changes depending on the region which makes it interesting. Nice to see other anglophones who speak French!
Which one you have to found. Formable nations might be a special chapter and for the experienced player anyway. But i agree with you if one wants a "tall" playing with slim colonising and trade gaming. No country has better trade ideas of course; especially if combined with their historical reformed religion and their government.
I am pretty sure you can't form Persia as the Timurids because they are blocked by the fact that Persia and Timurids are formable tags in the same region. (if they have changed this plz do feel free to enlighten me)
Also: Normandy You have to release it as England, but France usually helps you against the English. In the independency war against England you can get Man, Calais and Pale, so you after that you can expand into Ireland and Scotland. If Austria gets Burgundy you could also join the HRE and then destroy France.
To be realistic Ottomans must be number one in this list with Muscovy. No sitting around constant wars and conquest and you can switch to any religion you want
The PU'ing over Bohemia and hungary doesnt work anymore for some patches yet. With the hungary patch those countries got events that give them "national dynasties" in case they have fallen under PU in the 1444 inter regnum.
I searched in steam and the Internet and found it. It's name is EU4: Pre-Order Pack. But the reviews are horrible so I'm not sure if I should buy it. It costs 6,99€ and I'm not sure if it is worth it. So what do you say?
Not heard about the Ryukyu government change thing, maybe now I'll give Three Mountains a serious try. Never really bothered before because it just too way too difficult for me. The Italian states can be fun too. One of my funnest achievements was Lucky Lucca.
One of my favourites was Friesland - formed Netherlands, got those two achievements and also Laughingstock where you need Haha, Lolland and one other province I can't remember
I think you should ad Nepal they have high tier ideas and relly on conquering tibet (which by the way was first Time i saw somone conquering them) and on top all provinces required to form bharat are close to you and sikhizm Will spawn under your nose helping you in conquest
my most fun was caddo nahuatl playthrough. it was gripping and exciting the whole time, always feeling bad because of the doom clock until i made it go away, and then the europeans.
Hey it's my first time seeing a video giving love to a country in the Philippines, or any naval focused country outside Europe at that. Nice PS: shocked that there is no Filipino shouting "pride" lol
I know it's not necessarily a top ten, but a list that i think would be fun would be a list of the best nations per their religion, basically saying which nation is the best Catholic or Sunni nations that play into those mechanics the best. I'm not sure how practical this list would be, but it'd be neat if you were trying to go for the achievements based on religions and wanted the most optimal nation for it
One of the small things that always frustrates me about EU4 is that there isn't a ton of overlap between countries that get cool features and countries that provide a challenge. Not really PDX's fault because it makes sense for them to put more resources into countries that are relevant to the time period and those countries happen to be powerful, but it's still annoying. So obviously I really like countries like Granada and Byzantium. I'd never tried Madyas before but after this video I'm definitely gonna give them a look.
I have a current Persia game, taking a small break after a bankruptcy, due to a large coalition war involving a good few Arab states and the mams But I did win the war, and ally the ottomans right after Just gotta beat up rebels and wait for AE / My bankruptcy downsides to go away
Germany (one of the Germanic states in the HRE) Rome (Italy or byzantines) Great Britain USA My personal favourite; the European Imperium (custom nation). Spans from the west coast of France to the eastern border of Poland. A united Europe is a safe Europe (no EU politics intended, just pure fiction).
Jesus Christ I should really try to succeed with playing as Madyas. At first I just wanted to play it because it's actually located where I live but after a bit of reading I've learned that the little guy has great potential.
Short guide for an OP Carib: Get a vassal bordering Lima. Conquer Lima, wait for the temple event to fire. This will change government type from native council to tribal. Feed Lima to your vassal. Let animist rebels break your country. Now can embrace institutions get full income from incan gold and build boats.
My personal favourites ( in no apparent order) 1. Jianzhou 2. Uesugi 3. Brandenburg 4. Byzantium 5. Florence 6. Portugal 7. Granada 8. Naples 9. Austria 10. England
No Denmark? They're insanely fun with a great start but also a big challenge in the form of Russia and England constantly teaming up against you, (allying Poland is an amazing trick to counter this, and allying France)
My top favorite nations to play are Poland and Majapahit, especially Majapahit. Creating among the richest nations in the world and a naval superpower is quite satisfying

I really enjoyed the Civ 6 soundtrack
Civilization has great music! Thanks for watching
If there was no Dutch nation in here I would have raged! But some solid picks, didn't expect a Philippines nation
I was just looking for a video like this not 12 hours ago lmao thanks
Your " Putain " was suprisingly correct.
Haha thank you! I live in France and speak French but the achievement's name was hard to pronounce haha

12:30 What music is this! I know it's from civ 5, and its one of my favorites, but I can't find it anywhere. Does anybody know the name of it?
It's the civ 6 main menu theme I think
Is that Pillars of Eternity background music? Love it
It is! Big fan of PoE, youve got good taste!
@@AlzaboHD yeah man, its great, keep up the good work, stay healthy
Have you considered let's-playing a campaign? I would love to watch you play as one of these nations.

AHMED, GET THE KALASHNIKOV!

Lol the civ VI theme. I even paused the video to see whether I've accidentally started civ
I know I'm late, but I like your French! your cussing sounds like a real native speaker! :)
Merci! I live in France and have picked up un peu de frogspeak. Thanks for watching.
@@AlzaboHD hey, no problem! I used to live in Paris, so the same for me. Do you live in Paris?
I do! Recently moved to the city and digging it so far. Been in France for years but the dialect always changes depending on the region which makes it interesting. Nice to see other anglophones who speak French!
@@AlzaboHD same here! Always nice to see other anglophones who speak French, especially when they're one of my favorite RUclipsrs :)
Dzień dobry :)
My pick for most enjoyable nations in eu4 would be The Netherlands.
Which one you have to found. Formable nations might be a special chapter and for the experienced player anyway.
But i agree with you if one wants a "tall" playing with slim colonising and trade gaming. No country has better trade ideas of course; especially if combined with their historical reformed religion and their government.
Top 10 over/underrated nations
@@TheAjie91 kebab is fun idiot
@@TheAjie91 I am a newbie
I am pretty sure you can't form Persia as the Timurids because they are blocked by the fact that Persia and Timurids are formable tags in the same region. (if they have changed this plz do feel free to enlighten me)
Also: Normandy
You have to release it as England, but France usually helps you against the English. In the independency war against England you can get Man, Calais and Pale, so you after that you can expand into Ireland and Scotland. If Austria gets Burgundy you could also join the HRE and then destroy France.
Everytime you said Arbadil instead of Ardabil, my eye twitched.
Neat video though, gonna try a Granada run for the challenge
Did you suceed?
Mr Nice Guy fourth try I managed to form it
By it I mean Andalusia
A list without the ottomans. Thumbs up
well playing as the ottoman is just like "what am i gonna invade next" and sometimes "can i make spawn this institution?" x)
Good job with the video there!
WAIT!!! Witch dlc do you need to get this Mission tree of Byzantium?! Because I can only go to the Pantarchie. Is it Mare Nostrum?
I believe its unlocked via the Purple Phoenix dlc! Hope that helps
also for some reason, purple poenix doesnt show up on steam. Try googling it rather then searching for it on steam
Thank you both😁
I searched in steam and the Internet and found it. It's name is EU4: Pre-Order Pack. But the reviews are horrible so I'm not sure if I should buy it. It costs 6,99€ and I'm not sure if it is worth it. So what do you say?
Axel Müller just torrent the game and get all dlc’s for free
Holy sh*t looking forward to the Ryukyu campaign. Also loved the Civ 6 easter egg.
Good videos. Keep up the good work..
Not heard about the Ryukyu government change thing, maybe now I'll give Three Mountains a serious try. Never really bothered before because it just too way too difficult for me.
The Italian states can be fun too. One of my funnest achievements was Lucky Lucca.
most fun
painting the world in one color is as difficult as boring
Actually a really good video!
Great video! i would add Portugal too because its fun to eat Castile, Aragon and the Maghreb in the start of the game.
Why is your background music Civ 6 lol
I'm from Poland, I love you for this 1:57 "Dzień dobry" ^^
Im living in Wroclaw and still learning Polish! Im quite bad at the language and still learning - thank you for the kind comment!
I like Albania, Byzantium, Lithuania, Denmark, Genoa, Ethiopia, and Oirat. All of these have hidden power you can unlock with some wild tricks.
my most fun was caddo nahuatl playthrough. it was gripping and exciting the whole time, always feeling bad because of the doom clock until i made it go away, and then the europeans.
Hey it's my first time seeing a video giving love to a country in the Philippines, or any naval focused country outside Europe at that. Nice
PS: shocked that there is no Filipino shouting "pride" lol

Pirate palembang to malaya was probably my most fun campaign
Why are you using rhe song dream of flight from civ
What's with the CivVI in the background?
Why in theme there is music from civilization VI? You can hear it in 10:35
I have a current Persia game, taking a small break after a bankruptcy, due to a large coalition war involving a good few Arab states and the mams
But I did win the war, and ally the ottomans right after
Just gotta beat up rebels and wait for AE / My bankruptcy downsides to go away
I’m 300 troops above my force limit as The Netherlands and I still get 200 ducats per month
Germany (one of the Germanic states in the HRE)
Rome (Italy or byzantines)
Great Britain
USA
My personal favourite; the European Imperium (custom nation). Spans from the west coast of France to the eastern border of Poland. A united Europe is a safe Europe (no EU politics intended, just pure fiction).
Finally some love to philippine nations
Honestly, I just want to create a mod with Themyscira and have Gal Godot go around conquering places. That's quality alternative history right there.
Jesus Christ I should really try to succeed with playing as Madyas. At first I just wanted to play it because it's actually located where I live but after a bit of reading I've learned that the little guy has great potential.
Was really fun when I played it.
