Yeah, Provence is kind of cheesy. Your first war against anyone you want is basically an insta win due to French favours that you obtained during the surrender of maine.
@@yavantii3615 Alternatively, you can declare your own reconquest war for Maine and call France in, then taking all of English Normandy as well. This will anger the French but should keep you small enough to ally a friendly Austria and join the HRE.
small mistake, Sirhind cannot get the "Emperor of Hindustan" achievement (as you need to start as Delhi), you might have confused it with the "The sun never set on the Indian Empire" achievement(which you can get). anyway, good video as always!
The Siam part got me thinking about how bad the steamrolling problem is. Historically the (Burmese) conquered the Thai people and they rebelled. That's not possible in game unless the AI just massively fucks up. The lack of national revolutions in the late game really takes out of it.
Hot damn was that Kenshi footage at the end? I'd love to see your video style done for it. Maybe top 10 towns to set up shop, or best regions to set up a base in?
My favourite minor country is Korea. You can easily conquer Manchu before 1500 and even get foothold in Japan if there is some independent daimyo. Korea also has one of the best starting rulers in the game (6/5/5, scholar, careful). Also it's sad that Jianzhou didn't make it on the list. You can form Qing. It also has OP mission tree.
If you really hate yourself you can disable Mandate of Heaven and form Japan as Ainu. Without the DLC it is much easier to do it because you can get alliance with Ming by alling Korea, being called to war with Jianzhou, Korea will be also allied to Ming and will call them to war, this should boost your relations with Ming if you improved them before to secure the royal marriage and than alliance. Then it should be easy (I did this without any DLC). I am not sure how it works with Mandate of Heaven enabled maybe you could secure the alliance but it might take much more time. Also try to get province of Ise, because it will trigger an event that can remove your tribal government and convert to Shinto.

For some reason I thought that Ethiopia would be on the list. This Empire is stronger than any other neighboring nation and there are two gold mines in the horn of Africa. Plus as a Christian nation Ethiopia can have PU (in one of my campaigns I PUed France, lol).
Thing is, atleast for me, Ethiopia is already a major power. They have a ton of development, start off as an empire (?) and are unquestionably the dominant state in their region. Their power level is much higher than the states on this list in my opinion. Thanks for watching!

Why isn’t Naples or Genoa on the list? Genoa can expand in 3 continents early on and naples can claim throne on castile or aragon after aragon releases them.
@@larrykrappenschitz9926 Believe it or not, there was a time I managed to get Aragon as an ally once through RNG. Aragon was rivaling Ottomans, Castile, and Austria. But in most cases, your best bet is to just accept that Iberia wants you dead, and seek allies elsewhere. If you can manage it, France and Ottomans make good allies for deterring Iberia, long enough for you to eat Tlemcen and West Africa. If you can manage it, try getting Tunis as a vassal. @@larrykrappenschitz9926 It isn't easy, I'll admit. I had to let Castile eat Granada, and hold back on reclaiming Ceuta for decades, while increasing relations with Ottos from start.
You can defeat the Iberians on your own as morocco. Just sell 6 of your transport ship. Build 5 extra carracks. Improve relations with granada to over 100. There could be a mention to Trebizond. Always felt that the Komnenos were the ones with most claim over the Roman throne rather than the Paleiologos. Plus, it is one of toughest campaigns in the game so far as I noticed.
Trebizond is terrible. Your economy is crap, you have no mission tree, or interesting unique events, your ideas are pretty damn meh, and you have both the Ottomans and QQ, or even Ajam, Persia or Timurids, knocking at your doorstep. Not even expanding solves this, since you expand to other terrible areas such as Crimea or 3 dev horde lands.
