I had a lucky navarra game where I got an alliance with castille and france and used them to PU aragon. Then betrayed castile and used france to increase my territory so that Aragon and Naples wouldn't get any funny ideas about independence. France was my only ally so I never betrayed him before I shelved that game... maybe I should return and finish the game.
i love playing large nations so here are some of my custom achievements I have for those powerful nations. Note that with every nation you have to start on very hard difficulty: France: never have a great power ally, have no allies after 1550. Have the largest fleet/army/income and achieve all historical goals. Average province size in europe of 35. Control all west/north africa Russia: Never have an ally. achieve all historical goals and control Constantinople/berlin/wien/Beijing and vietnam Great Britain: No allies after 1600. Achieve all historical goals. (note that this is actually fairly hard). Any German Nation: no allies after 1700. Be at war with countries of France/Ottos/Russia at same time and win (can be separate wars). Have an average province development in Europe of 40 Poland: No great power allies. No allies at all after 1600. (ive yet to achieve this) I find the above to be much more interesting than playing OPM trying to do something silly like conquer some country across the world. Note that all of the above achievements are pretty hard on very hard difficulty settings. For comparison, its much easier to play some worthless OPM in Germany on normal difficulty, than it is to play Poland on hardest settings.
BudgetMonk has also done a 1 faith 1 culture world conquest with the roman empire so with the emerging culture of roman on hard difficulty and on very hard difficulty
Big Blue Blob is piss easy, you can get enough provinces just by conquering Ireland, Scotland, half of England and the Aragonese coast (using Catalonia and Valencia as vassals to limit AE) plus Baleares and Malta. Those areas plus the Burgundian Inheritance are more than enough, and depending on how much you can take from England, you might not even need the BI
Pate is hands down the easiest starting nation for The Third Way. There are 5 gold provinces in Mutapa and Swahili coast and you can easily conquer them all withing the first 20 years. After that money isn't such a problem. Additionally there won't be any coalitions no matter what you do since the countries around your starting area belong to three different religion groups.
Conquering the Entire world is indeed easier than anything else on this list. You get to choose the country you want to do it with, and that alone makes it pretty achievable
Another that could be on the list/ is on my list is the komnenoi Empire achievement. As Trebizond you have to become an Empire rank (1000+ dev) without tag switching or playing as a released nation. This is more difficult then it sounds because Trebizond is incredibly poor, surrounded by hostile powers like QQ, AQ and worse of all the Ottomans. Since the MUscovy/Russia AI is as broken/ incompetent as can be you will need alot of restarts and save scumming in order to survive let alone thrive.
Did the Kale one on VH without the delay age exploit. It sucked. Badly. The worst ones are inside Qara. If you are too late the Ottomans might have it. Might be able to beat Ming easier on the current patch than it was for me. A tip is to stay Buddhist so you can make tributaries.
One faith isn't hard. I did it a few patches ago as Catholic Ottomans. To make Otto's catholic and get One Faith achievement, do: 1) Random new world, repeat to get a small and easily accessible one. 2) give as many provinces to the dhimmi estate as possible. 3) conquer any easy targets, like Albania, Constantinopel, east Anatolia (may have to wait for truces to run out). 4) take catholic provinces from Bosnia. 5) lower dhimmi loyalty below 40 (requesting theologian from the religious estate and revoking orthodox provinces from the dhimmi estate). Then revoke your catholic provinces from dhimmi. Catholic rebels will spawn. When they take a non-catholic province, they will convert it to catholic. 6) declare war on a small weak country and park your army there. Being at war means your government will take some time to fall after catholic rebels take your capital. This means rebels have more time to convert provinces. Mothball all forts except your capital. If rebels take and convert a dhimmi estate province, revoke for more catholic rebels. Now wait until catholic rebels have converted most or all of your provinces. Government falls and Ottomans is a catholic country with most or all provinces catholic. You can even become emperor of the HRE (don't add your capital to the HRE). Finished world conquest in 1750, finished One Faith achievement a few years later.
i think that they should add automated mode for armies and fleets that will start around 1750, because the only thing that stops me from TTM is armies microing in lategame.
For the Gothic invasion you can nocb east frisia on 11.12.1444 if they have only 1 ally. Peace out the ally and wait until a neighbor attacks east frisia too. Then vassalize east frisia and annex the neighbor that attacked your now vassel. Lose Theodoro on purpose and your capital will be moved to the conquered province in the hre
The Big Blue Blob is considered difficult? I'm relatively new and only recently started achievement runs and BBB was my choice as a quick easy first campaign. I succeeded with nearly 10 years to spare and while I did get a late Burgundian Inheritance I could have easily just annexed my 10 province Catalonian vassal. I often had to wait to peace out due to coalitions but my AE was never so high that I had to send gifts or influence nations to prevent a coalition. If I want I could easily continue the campaign to a world conquest but I decided I would rather start a Castille run to do that, they make it easier to get all the random achievements out of the way. After that it's probably Empire of Mann for me so I don't have to see it in the list every campaign I play.
I think they should add one achivment. "Total Domination" -" Do a World Conqueror achivment on every country that exists in 11.11.1444" That would be fun
What are some achievements you'd like to see in EUIV? Mine is "I Am No Mere Prize": As either Alsace or Lorraine, conquer all of both the French culture and German culture provinces.

Note that with every nation you have to start on very hard difficulty:
France: never have a great power ally, have no allies after 1550. Have the largest fleet/army/income and achieve all historical goals. Average province size in europe of 35. Control all west/north africa
Russia: Never have an ally. achieve all historical goals and control Constantinople/berlin/wien/Beijing and vietnam
Great Britain: No allies after 1600. Achieve all historical goals. (note that this is actually fairly hard).
Any German Nation: no allies after 1700. Be at war with countries of France/Ottos/Russia at same time and win (can be separate wars). Have an average province development in Europe of 40
Poland: No great power allies. No allies at all after 1600. (ive yet to achieve this)
I find the above to be much more interesting than playing OPM trying to do something silly like conquer some country across the world. Note that all of the above achievements are pretty hard on very hard difficulty settings. For comparison, its much easier to play some worthless OPM in Germany on normal difficulty, than it is to play Poland on hardest settings.
I made Third way by Oman (post-Cradle), culture-shifted to Persian and then formed Mughals.
me too
BudgetMonk has also done a 1 faith 1 culture world conquest with the roman empire so with the emerging culture of roman on hard difficulty and on very hard difficulty
budgetmonk has done a one culture world conquest with the roman culture. it was one tag too
Big Blue Blob is piss easy, you can get enough provinces just by conquering Ireland, Scotland, half of England and the Aragonese coast (using Catalonia and Valencia as vassals to limit AE) plus Baleares and Malta. Those areas plus the Burgundian Inheritance are more than enough, and depending on how much you can take from England, you might not even need the BI
Me: Alive
AlzaboHD: HOW CAN SHE SLAP?
Me: dead of laughter.
I can't see ironside intro without hearing ISPs voice.
I feel like one faith is now spectacularly easy as long as you can pull off an ottoman WC since everywhere can be made into trade companies
I opened this video and immediately thought I accidentally opened an ISP video lol.
11:11 For Where The Heart Is, you don't actually have to convert any provinces. Only the owner has to be Fetishist.
Sound cuts out at 20:14 on my phone, don't know if anyone else has had this problem
Did the Kale one on VH without the delay age exploit. It sucked. Badly. The worst ones are inside Qara. If you are too late the Ottomans might have it. Might be able to beat Ming easier on the current patch than it was for me. A tip is to stay Buddhist so you can make tributaries.
Budgetmonk also did a roman one culture on very hard and is in the process of completing another one on very hard
One faith isn't hard. I did it a few patches ago as Catholic Ottomans.
To make Otto's catholic and get One Faith achievement, do:
1) Random new world, repeat to get a small and easily accessible one.
Finished world conquest in 1750, finished One Faith achievement a few years later.
he's alive
Budgetmonk has also archived one culture. he also has done it without diplo banking.
i think that they should add automated mode for armies and fleets that will start around 1750, because the only thing that stops me from TTM is armies microing in lategame.
The video is mute after 20:15
The Big Blue Blob is considered difficult?
