My God Shot today was the fact that no matter how much I mess up, go my own way, sin, get distracted, or WHATEVER……He is faithful to fulfill His promises and plan for ME 🙏🙌💕
God is a God of Persistence. He knows that His people are hard hearted, or sometimes just slow to truly understand and make His word part of their being. He also knows that although the previous generation knew Him, He needs to pursue and reveal Himself to a new generation. And His persistence is a character trait that He wants me to model; Jesus said to be like the widow who never stops asking the judge for justice. “Knock, and the door will be opened,” and “You do not have because you do not ask.” God never gives up on me, and keeps showing me Who He is, and wants me to copy His ways.
I wrote this quote down too! the enemy wants us to doubt God. I always appreciate a reminder that God is in control and He works all things together. I am so grateful for TBR , TLC and you all!!
I was struck by how God remembered Lot and Esau, whom he had previously given land to, and told Moses to leave their land alone because it belongs to their descendants. God not only remembers His promises, He also keeps them. ❤️
Hi Elizabeth, I lost my husband in 2023 as well, so I resonate with you in this new season and through the waves of grief that at times can be a bit overwhelming. So grateful to be able to walk through this season with Jesus, I have hope knowing that he has a place prepared for me, and my husband waits for me there. Some days it's hard to feel joy through the grief, but I trust always in God, my father. He always provides for and comforts me. It was nice to be reminded that "God meets me in my pain - He grieves with me. I am not alone." 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 -Laura
I’m on vacation to see my new grandbaby so there is so much joy in that! But this Bible Recap has become such a morning habit that even on vacation, I make time for this. What a blessing!! ❤
Thank you Tara-Leigh Cobble for the words of encouragement because even though you don’t know each one of us on a personal level you still take the time to encourage us. A lot of us are going through very difficult moments.
TLC… I just had to say I love starting my day with you. You are so genuine and excited in your message. Thanks for all you do and keep up the great work
I like that even though we are rehearing the account of what happened since the exodus, we are learning rest details, like a behind the scenes cut, which keeps the story fresh
@@corinadison7459 I'm about to be 54 and I finally feel like I'm getting it. Lol. Wish I had seen this 20 years ago. But thankful that I'm seeing it now. Now I can share with younger people in my life
Aloha and good morning BR family. Thanks, TL, for starting my day reading the Lords words. God is faithful in the fire. Things that we don't understand; trust and believe what he promises He will provide. He is where the JOY is!!💯♥🙏
While they my not have been the “Blessed” “Chosen” Children of God, God also had blessed the descendants of Lot and Esau. The Israelites where not to posses their land that had been given to them by God. As an adopted child of God, He is pouring His blessings out on me. May I recognize His blessings. TLC said something today that really stuck with me. “His [the LORD’s] name is inextricable linked to His character, and when we disbelieve His character, we are taking His name in vein.” WOW 😮!!! May I, in my life and actions continue to honor and praise the LORD’s name.
Deutoronomy 1:17 Ye shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgment is God’s 🔥 repeating this and letting it sink into my heart helped me counter my people-pleasing, & i ended my 24hr fast by finally sending the risky text i was working up the courage to send! That verse nailed it ❤
God is not blinded by the love He has for His children so much as to make Him an irrational God/Father. He's not in the habit of robbing Peter to pay Paul. He will not take away another's blessings to satisfy His children. He's a God of boundaries! This is my God shot.
2024; God always fulfils His promises. God is Love; God is faithful; God’s plans will never fail. Amen🙏 God’s blessings are abundant. Thank You Father; ✝️
Day 70 and I'm just as interested as day one even more so and Tara you are a great host and narrator thank you for the insights I'm really enjoying it that's where my joy is learning about God's word and understanding it!
This is honestly the best medicine for what ails me! This is day 70, and this year's reading has brought back my thirst for more and my hope and so much more understanding! I'm so grateful and blessed.
Day 70. I'm continuing this. I have made bible reading along with bible recap a priority each day. My God shot! God has been with me along my life's journey. To God Be the Glory great things He has done.
*This is How I Recap.* _(Why does that sound like a rap song? LOL!)_ 🎶 *#1* I first read that day’s Bible reading. *#2* Then, I listen to “The Bible Recap.” *#3* THEN, the _next_ day, I _read_ the Recap in “The Bible Recap” book. By reading the Recap the next day, it refreshes me on where I left off, but more importantly, it reinforces what I learned the day before, and for me, reinforcement is the key to remembering. Plus, if I lost focus and missed something Tara-Leigh said, I catch it when I read! I’ve really found this helpful, and I hope it helps someone else! God bless all of you! 🙏🏻💜
My God shot: God blesses us, He knows our struggles, He is with us, we lack nothing. Trust Him. “For the Lord your God has blessed you…He knows your going through this great wilderness….the Lord your God has been with you. You have lacked nothing.”’” Deuteronomy 2:7 ESV
All of the generations from the Exodus who rebelled against the Lord are gone, and what is left are the children, the next generation, who are now grown up. Caleb and Joshua are the only ones who are still alive because they were faithful to the Lord. The time is approaching for the people to possess the land of promise, but before they do, Moses is reminding the people of where they came from. Moses gives them a history lesson of their journey up to this point. My God shot came from Deuteronomy 1: 10-11. "The Lord your God has multiplied you, and behold, you are today as numerous as the stars of heaven. May the Lord, the God of your fathers, make you a thousand times as many as you are and bless you, as he has promised you!" God is faithful. He keeps His promises. He blesses us when we are faithful and obedient to Him.
God remembers His promises. He keeps his promises to Esau and Lot and saves their land, the land He gave them, for their descendants. Our God is a promise keeper. ❤
I've been rethinking about how God hardens hearts and I think there was a time early in my marriage when my husband hear5 was hardened. I'm not going to make a list of wrongs but it did produce in me the character to be a prayerful wife and dutiful mother and rely on the Lord's plan. This is how I have been experiencing the recaps.
Fear always magnifies the enemy and diminishes God. Wow 🤩 that hit home and is so very true I have learned over the years! Wrote this statement in my Bible!
Love this program SO much! Look forward to it daily. At the beginning of this particular video Tara accidentally says Deuteronomy is part of the New Testament. Wasn’t sure if they caught it yet or if I misunderstood what she was saying. Her interpretation, explanation, and God shots are such a blessing to my brain that is finally learning to see God’s glorious character in all of the scripture instead of being confused and even disappointed in some of what He does. I’m truly seeing His heart more and more day by day.
My God-shot in this was figuring out thar even the lands God gave Esau and Lot and the one to which He'd promised the Israelites were someone else's lands. His promises to us and in this age, His blessing on us makes us qualified to own the land or "the blessedness" of His promise. It's left for us to remain obedient to Him so that what He promised or promises us won't be snatched away from us.
Since starting the bible recap my focus and motivation have slightly improved. I never used to take time and read one or two chapters a day; this has been a big blessing. I'm proud of myself for reaching day 70 and looking forward to the upcoming days.
Up to this point I always thought Esau's descendants were just forgotten after that whole ordeal with Isaac. Somehow I missed this chapter's highlights, and that even the Israelites had an offlimits to what they could take: Esau and Lot's Inheritance. Just because you're not an Israelite, doesn't mean God doesn't care equally about you!
So throughout our readings it has been hinted at that the people inhabiting the promised land did something to anger God to the point he was going to displace them. Succumbing to the influence of demons/fallen angels to the point where they worshipped them and (I know this is a stretch) somehow recreating the giant race that was wiped out in the flood certainly seems to qualify.
I think related to May mean similar to…. As in also fallen angels or children of fallen angels & humans. My thoughts… the linked resource was very long so I am going through it in bits. ;-)
I'm just having a hard time knowing the kids were killed in the war too when they were driving the Canannites out. Kids who don't know evil or good. Babies, toddlers...

We know the capital "B" blessing! Love it.
Moses is now reminding His people about God's promise of land and guidance, though many rebelled against God so that generation died off.

I learnt that fear actually took 38 years from the Israelites 😯🙀
Deuteronomy 1:11.
The ones mentioned in Genesis 6 were all destroyed by the flood. So these can’t be related to them. These giants are a curious thing.
