I've read through the Bible lots of times in my 69 years (including chronologically) but I'm looking forward to a different way. I've invited my daughter, sister and niece to join me in You Version. I fell in love with the Old Testament 35 years ago 💕
How did you go? I turn 40 this year. 2024. I've also tried so many times. Think I've made it to February before. Sounds terrible. This conversation (this Prep Episode) changed the trajectory of my life in December of 2019. Completing my third year through (the last two leading others through as well), The Bible Recap carried me through pandemic, isolation, Ministry experiences, racial strife, a politically charged environment, and so much more. I am forever grateful for Lee McDerment, TLC, and this Prep Episode!
Thank you both so much! I use the You Version Bible app and I started the Bible Recap yesterday. I am thankful to have found this. May God continue to Bless you today and always!☝
That really struck a chord with me. I believe that it is human nature to read the Bible as if it were a mirror. I look forward to reading the Bible this year with a new perspective.
I don’t remember seeing this prep episode before, but it was so powerful to me today. I’m super sick with a virus, so I’ve been randomly watching the prep episodes, but I am so inspired and excited to start this journey again. I haven’t found someone to do the journey with me yet, but God’s got his hand on it. We’ll see who he brings to the party!
Watching this interview (again) this morning, I was reminded of the very first time I read all the way through the Bible, about a year before I was saved. A friend who knew Jesus basically challenged me to read it, as a way to answer the questions I was peppering her with. I went into it with much the same approach recommended by Pastor Lee: God, if you’re real, show yourself to me. And He did! But I wish I had had something like the Bible Recap, as much of the Old Testament particularly was really hard to put into context. Nonetheless, God overcame the obstacles and met me in His Word, and I’ve been following Jesus for nearly 45 years as a result.
Our church pastor just passed on info about the YouVersion app and The Bible Recap at service last Sunday and I LOVE IT! Also, enjoyed hearing from Pastor Lee. I did modify his quote on what to say to yourself every time you read your bible, changed it to "God, I know you are real. Please speak to me!" Replaced "if" with "I know", because I do know. I recently finished my first bible in a year and can't wait to start again this evening using your book and videos!
This is my year! I’ve already had so much peace and burden lifted from me from just a few months of realizing this. I started a few other plans but from different people commenting, it seemed this would explain things more thoroughly, which I feel might be helpful for me starting new again, to make sure I understand all of the teachings. I’m just so excited to start my year with what I feel is the correct focus, and read the entire bible and have Bible Recap make sure I don’t miss anything! I’m happy to be in this place with you all. I’m so happy to be a part of the Bible Recap 🙏🏼✨
Just want to encourage you and what you're doing! A friend from childhood and Christian summer camp shared Bible Recap with me this morning at coffee. As my Biblical knowledge is piecemealed from jumping all over the Bible these past 3 years since coming to Christ, my heart's desire has really been to read it ALL chronologically, but also have context along with it! I'm now going to start up a small group of those from my church who will do the entire year program you have put together, meeting up monthly to discuss anything we don't understand or care to share. Really thankful to the Lord for what He has done in inspiring you, Tara-Leigh (via His channels of Pastor Lee and Andrew Dupree), to make the learning piece more digestible for those who haven't read the entire Bible and want to. Plan to report back soon! Thank you for helping make disciples!
This convo is such a must hear to provide individual courage to read through it all. Especially the parts I wasn't looking forward too due to past experiences, way to give a different perspective to arm us with the armor to push through it and find the treasures there. Looking forward to this journey
"Isaiah-the fifth Gospel Book," this is the first time I've heard of this joke. That's a good one! Haha! Thank you for inspiring us, Pastor Lee McDerment!
I always struggled with Job. That is, until Bible Recap. Going through Job with you encouraged me to go through the book chapter by chapter and take notes verse by verse. I’m still going through it on my own even though I’m reading Exodus with the recap. Thank you for your ministry and your heart for Christ.
This will be my 17th time of reading the Bible all the way through in 8 1/2 years, and every time I've read it, I ask the Lord to show me new things and He has!! I'm excited to be starting my 17th time. I do wish you offered the study guide in printable version. Then I'd print them and use a binder.
This will be my first year reading your plan and my second time through the whole Bible. After watching your prep videos I am very anxious to read your plan and see what God has in store for my life this year. Thank you so much for your ministry and this plan.
My sisters and I did a Bible In A Year in 2022 and this talk really resonates with my experience. We are starting again 2024 having searched out some of the questions over this last year. Can't wait to see what new mysteries will be revealed. Amen
I've read through the full bible once and have read and listened to new testment many times but the bible recap plan keeps popping up. I'm excited to get started on this tomorrow 2024🎉
I'm so excited to hear this, I have been trying to read my bible, but after a while I got confused and started to jump to some pages, but now, I do understand that God is the key to direct. Thank you so much.
I’m thankful for the words spoken by you Lee in this video. That’s the Spirit of God speaking right through you. I’m someone that has been actively struggling with reading the Word for weeks and have been looking forward to this Bible study to help keep me accountable. Praise the Lord! I am excited for what is to come. Prayers for accountability are appreciated and I pray He continues to bless you both abundantly 🙏🏼. 23:49
God reveals what you need to know at the right time, perhaps through trials and therefore it is beneficial to read through the Bible each year. I’m just starting to read through the Bible for the first time.
I just finished my first year of reading through the whole Bible and just finished my first year with The Bible Recap. I thank God for this ministry. 🖤
There have been a few times for me when some words have come to my mind that, I just knew were from God, but I did not ever remember reading them. Looked them up and lo and behold, I wasn't making it up. The Holy Spirit had given them to me at just the right time. They were in the Bible and I had then come to know where.
I’ve read through the Bible in a year many times since becoming a Christian 50 years ago. I decided to give this reading of the Bible recap, and I’m so glad. I love how Tera Lee cobble recaps each reading. It’s so worthwhile encourage anyone to give it a try.
This is one the most enjoyable reading of the Bible plans I’ve ever done. I’m learning so much. I never even thought about reading the Bible through chronologically, and it makes a huge difference!!! Thank you Tara Leigh Cobble for sharing your Recaps. They are so insightful and make a huge difference. Thank you ❤
This will be my 4th time reading the whole bible, but never with commentary to help understand certain scriptures. Thank you for this reading plan! I am excited to read thru the bible with help in understanding parts that are so hard to understand ❤️
First saw the fruit of reading through the Bible many years ago from the man God used to lead me to Him , just took me 40 plus years to get with the program, I’m thankful
Just yesterday, I was thinking about the flattened penny my Mom gave me when I was about 8 years old. It had The Lord's Prayer on it. That's how I learned The Lord's Prayer. I had to laugh, when Lee mentioned receiving a quarter with The Lord's Prayer on it. I still have that flattened panny almost 50 years later. God bless!
This is my second year of reading through the Bible with you! It's probably my 7th or 8th time to read through the entire Bible. Some years, in the regular order found in our Bibles, some years in different people's or groups' idea of how events really happened. What I enjoy with you and The Bible Recap is that your podcasts are so relatable and make concepts clear. I worked as a leader of children and teens for many, many years before retiring due to health reasons. I'm 68, and still learn something new every day - things I don't remember seeing before, even though I KNOW I've read it over and over again. God has shown me how fresh and new, and valid, He is today and every day. Oh, His great Love for me is amazing; but He expects me to learn, grow, and give that same love to others - not just the ones I see in church. I wholly and unequivocally recommend The Bible Recap to everyone who is searching for knowledge and the wonder of God.
I've read the Bible through for 2 years. This plan was referenced on today's (1/1/2024) 'Daily Refresh' with Tara-Lee Cobble. I was looking for a chronological plan. God is always right on time. I'm looking forward to diving in. Blessings!
This was so much of a blessing to me. I felt so touched and inspired as I listened to you. I felt the touch of the Holy Spirit - the desire to know God through His Word. Glory be to God!! Thank you so much and God bless you abundantly as He uses you to reach many more people into the Bible Recap. Amen. ☺☺☺❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏

My wife and I are loving this playlist! I'd like to hear Tara's testimony. This pastor shows why we need to slow down when reciting scripture... I couldn't even make out what he's quoting.
This was so good. Love his knowledge and now he brings forth our misconceptions of books that we have heard. Let us all read with an open mind and heart to see the treasures of God. ❤
Wow, what a coincidence, I use to live on Whitehorse rd in Greenville SC,went to a Baptist Church, in the early 80s,which is where I was saved, accepted the lord and Savior in my heart
Thank you for your ministry. I love your insights which are succinct and eye opening. I love God and others, hopefully this will encourage me to get out there and share His gospel of salvation. This is my 6th year reading the Bible, but the second with your plan. Love it.
Thanks for this interview! I appreciate the tips for reading through variety of points of view the 1st time around. I will do both reading with cinematic lens and find God's character.
Absolutely important to read the whole Bible. Not all over the place. By bits and pieces. Read each book from beginning to end. Straight through. You will see everything differently. Much more understanding... God subject. Very good. Most read book in the world. Ask God for truth. He will make truth known.

I Am So Looking Forward To This YEAR Journey With The LORD - I Love This!!!!❤❤❤ -
THANK YOU FOR THIS 😊
First saw the fruit of reading through the Bible many years ago from the man God used to lead me to Him , just took me 40 plus years to get with the program, I’m thankful
Blessings!
Same for me! Praise God for leading us here. 🙌
This was a such a good conversation. Thank you.
Thank you, Tara Lee, for sharing your thoughts and expertise!
Ooh I absolutely enjoyed this conversation. Thank you both, God bless you and your ministries. Amen.
Amen. ☺☺☺❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏
I just purchased The Bible Recap and the Study Guide (probably should just get the journal too). My social media algorithms lead me to you TLC .....TLC for the tender loving care I can tell you put into these guides. I havent started yet, but I'm just here to say "Thank you"!!! Thats all.....Have an amazing 2025!
Just found bible recap and very excited to start this journey.
I SO enjoyed this! ❤️ Oh please GOD help me find Jesus in Leviticus!😩🤦🏻😅😁
You said that in the other vid but its true💖
Merry to leviticus. Read the other books first. All around it. It will make so much more sense.
So appreciate this ministry.
Just found this and I’m now going through your preparation videos
I'm excited and ready to fall deeper in love with God and to experience his love for me in a new miraculous and wonderful way. 💜🙏🏾🌻

#1 I'm excited to start this new year with this!
Oh man, I'm so grateful you guys shared your hearts, I'm not feeling near as daunting now
So appreciated this conversation. Thanks for sharing it.
I love this explanation!!
Humble yourself equals repentance. This is critical in the relationship with our Savior. Seek holiness.
This third episode was so helpful! They all are really. Thanks!
Thank you.
Such a wonderful channel 💝 Adrian Dupree was instrumental in me beginning my relationship with God as well 🎉 God is so good!!!
This interview was excellent and such a motivation to dive in this year! 🎉
This will be my first time reading with this app, but my 5th time reading the whole Bible.
My church will start reading the new testament version next year 2025.
I read the Bible in a year 6 times on you version I will do your new testament rec cap first. Then your one year.🙏
Good stuff!! I’m a terrible reader and this was very encouraging.💜✝️
I did had very hard time reading Isaiah.
Absolutely important to read the whole Bible. Not all over the place. By bits and pieces. Read each book from beginning to end. Straight through. You will see everything differently. Much more understanding... God subject. Very good. Most read book in the world. Ask God for truth. He will make truth known.
I'm going to Seminary but I admit I need to read more Scriptures so i might be late reading what I'm supposed read
Our Bible study is going through Bible Recap.
Great conversation, so excited to start reading the Bible with you guys again in the New Year!
Reading the end of Exodus when God gives Moses instructions for building the tabernacle was a struggle for me.
