yo why in the first 20 seconds red shirt is sooo high on his toes what is that? lol
If you look closer, his right leg is actually shorter than the other leg.
As well as atrophic right?
I saw that too lol I thought he was about to start performing Swan Lake 😂😂
@@RealGunSlingersdid something happen not tryna hate just seems off technique wise that leg side at seem to bend ever I understand tho if it’s a continuation or injury, something like that
@@hasanagic96 I def think the smaller leg is not as strong
My guy is fighting with a bad leg... good work guys
💪🏼❤️
bro has physical disadvantage with his leg and still giving to the art>>>
He can still kick my ass to this day
Oh ok I was wondering what was up but a condition or past injury seems like a perfect explanation
Oh wow. I watched the whole video and missed that because of how good he is. Respect.
@@RealGunSlingers salute to you and red shirt bro..
3/4 way through the video. It’s informative and good tips. But loses some credibility due to O having the smaller leg
Feints, feints, feints, always stay active control the fight is key. Great video.
Thank you!
respect to the red dude with his leg, he still has discipline and motivation to box huge respect man!
Love it! It’s important to never count yourself out.
Whenever I see someone wearing winning gloves I just know they love their boxing 😂
Love it 😂
Aye I watched this video and nice explanation along with what was being applied in the video. I take my boxing serious and you really taught me something I will forever utilize in my repertoire💯💪🏾🔥
Love it dude. More videos coming!
Good analysis, really helpful
💪🏼
Good work and thanks
Like chrisbadrous said with more feints. Great skill. Good work to both!
Thanks for sharing 🙏🏾
Nice vids lad, good for fundamentals
💪🏼❤️
Good video, make more like this, I'm subscribed
More on the way!
Dope
Ol boy leaves him self wide open for a left hook
Right hand comes back to the chest after every punch.
I don't think it's a worthy idea, a gazelle punch (even more poorly done, since gazelle punches travel longer distances) is not a good idea for shortening distances in contexts like this, it needs to be done in more advanced moments of the fight where there will be focus on many things presented, doing this in an initial and reactive phase is simply the call for a frontal encounter blow! A good and deceptive way to shorten the distance is to bring the back leg closer to the front leg, and then move forward with the front leg (it would be the concept of walking forward in the opposite order, so you will have the posture to move forward a lot while being in the same place).
These are fair points!
Do you mean like a pendulum step / shuffle type thing?
I feel like the fundamentals of footwork feel really limiting for me. Yeah I'm not a pro so my own inability is obviously a factor, but when I see videos that say "don't bring your feet together" or "move in a certain direction with the opposite side leg first" it doesn't always seem right to me. It feels more natural to bring the rear foot forward at times (which is what I think you're saying), or do other things that aren't meant to be done... I kinda wish there were more videos showing the rules being broken because the standard "push off the rear foot and step with the lead first and jab" feels in some way more robotic, telegraphed and slow to me
@@stefanjackson1127 Some fighters switch stances, in order to switch stances you have to cross your feet. My coach would say that u must switch stances when you are either too close or too far. With that there are probably other reasons why you can break that rule, but I don’t think you ever want your feet to stay together. Because you would be off balance. I believe what he’s talking about is just taking a half step forward with the rear leg only because it brings you closer in range while seemingly it looks like you didn’t move. Not bringing your feet together
@@RealGunSlingers this makes so much sense to me. Thank you for sharing the info. I feel like using the fundamentals are rigid.
I know the basics are taught so beginners don't lose balance and have a base to throw everything from and defend... But it's few and far between I ever see a video of someone teaching when to switch stances, bring feet together etc
Nice work and nice comments.
But I didn't really get the parts about closing the distance without being hit.
1:05 to 1:08 is a good example. Boxing is all about keeping your off the center line when you enter the distance. Notice when he steps, he’s stepping diagonally towards his right (Onyeik’s left) and his head is moving towards the right as he punches.
1:25 to 1:30 as well
@@RealGunSlingers Thank you very much !
These are techniques I didnt know...
1 - double jab while walk forward to the outside
2 - feint right upercut, jab to the liver
I appreciate you took the time to point the details I missed
Another way to find your range before your opponent does is using the long step jab, or the power jab, and from there a whole combo once you're inside!
A great way to cross the distance!!
Really really good stuff 💯😎
...did I notice several moments of poor foot positioning from them both though? Especially at the end 🙏
I appreciate that! I think they were playing around towards the end having fun. Just posted up part 2 the last round they go even harder!
@@RealGunSlingers I’ll check it out. 💯
They’re much better than me tbh, but I’m not a straight boxer, I do Muay Thai. Different stance and tactics etc. 🙏
Why is guy in Red on his toes?
what wrong is with your friend back foot?
God don’t like ugly. Don’t be a jerk
What’s wrong w your back foot why you ain’t fighting?
u dont see it? XD
@@JJ_11111 he was born like this. Idk if it’s a condition I can’t speak for him, but it’s just smaller than the other one.
really?
i thinking about bad position my bad sorry
whats up with his leg gng?
what's wrong with red's rear leg?
😂
His right leg is shorter than the left. He was born like that
@@RealGunSlingers o shit😔
Oh dang!
I mean anyone can look good stepping in on a cripple. What is this supposed to prove?
This will only work on an inexperienced boxer. This isn't anything special. It's basic boxing.
In the title it says “anyone can learn” judging based off of that you shouldn’t expect world championship level fighting advice.
