Cool!! Thanks for making the video! This is what I like to see the actual phone call and the true step by step not just talking about it but actually videoing while doing the steps.
Great content, this is awesome info for folks learning the ropes.
Great Job! What I needed to see. I signed up with Truckstop today after watching your video.
Scott Whitmire awesome man. Subscribe so you catch all the Other videos.
How’s the business going
benavides andres
Sold out. Doing something else now
@@scottwhitmire2524 like what? You didnt like hotshot?
@@losxmatitas6950 I did but just not making enough money.
Good Job! I've been looking al over the place trying to find out how to use it.
Hope you like it!
This was SUPER helpful. Thanks so much man.
Great video as I will be booking my first load any day now
Great video, one of the best and most complete. Very informational.
Thanks for sharing all this information I’m refinancing the house and I’m going to go big
Hey you changed your name!! 👍🏻👏🏻👌🏻🔥
Tow Piglet yes sir, figured it flowed the channel better instead of my name.
I drove a lot of fork lifts I was a forklift operator they usually weight around 9000lbs so always double check the type of lift and brand and research for weight because it's more than likely more than 7500lbs
I yawned right after you. Thanks😒😂
It happens.
thanks you are the best, my question is I have a 26 ft box truck and I'm not sure of the equipment I may put, Thank you..
Thank you for the video I appreciate you walking through everything and calling the broker.
No problem 👍
What if you are using DAT ? i can’t find freights in there for my pickup truck
Thanks for the video, good details for the time allotted. I'm hooked up with a dispatch service but thinking getting subscribed to a load board may not be a bad idea. Thanks.
Yes sir
thanks, Bro. really learnt lot. very informative.thnx again
Glad to hear that
Can you just call on any of those loads or do you have to be set up as a carrier for each company.
Majority of the time the reason they label it no hotshot is the freight requires air ride trailer and most hot shots aren’t equipped or it is a dock load.
Great work man I'm trying truckstop but no luck ? I have about the same set up can you recommend some broker or a loading board for just a 16ft trailer all I'm trying to do is haul one car at a time any hellp?
Hey man thanks for the detailed video. You taught me a lot. I'm just getting my business going and you gave me info I didn't even know I needed. I have a question, tho. I see you have a newer f350 and I'm trying to figure out if I should pay cash for an older truck 2004-2010 model or finance a newer model?
J Hall thanks sir. It’s a 450. It really just depends on your bills and stuff and how much you wanna work. Do not buy an 03-10 Ford under any circumstances tho.
@@bustedknucklelogistics9404 oh ok. why you say don't get a 03-10 model tho? lol
J Hall 3.5-07 is 6.0 which are junk in stock form and expensive to make reliable, and 08-10 is the 6.4 power stroke which is a catastrophic bomb. They’re complete junk throw away engines.
@@bustedknucklelogistics9404 oh wow man thanks! I was literally looking to pull the trigger on one about 2 days ago but I keep holding back because I want a 17-20 model I just don't want that note attached to it.
J Hall if you’re wanting a good cheaper truck than a 17+ Ford find a 13-18 cummins with the Aisin trans.
Great job on the video👍🏻
Thanks!
Is there any restrictions for the kind of truck a guy has? I have an 85 C30 with a fresh Cummins and Allison trans. Ive seen most of you guys have newer trucks.
with the carrier packet do you have the insurance send a binder or is just a certificate of insurance ok
It depends! Could be either, its up to the brokerage.
I know from brokerage prospecting side of things, they send 3 pieces of "packets" to a carrier: 1. Customer Packet; 2. W-9; 3. Certificate of Insurance Authorization. No matter how big or small a load may be. Hope this helps!
Could you elaborate on Florida if you don't mind, my buddy and I live here looking to get into this and now I'm curious about the difference jurisdictions
Florida is a tough state.
what does clean background mean?
Good Info!
You n TP communicate often? Or others also?
Can you do more videos like this please?
Sure thing, whatcha wanna see?
Frederick D'Apice exactly what you did in this video. I like to see the load board and see how you interact with brokers.
Frederick D'Apice yes this was very educational and this other RUclipsr named makecents shows the Dat load board but from a semi truck perspective and if you cover the hotshot perspective consistent you would have a niche sort of, So yes please do more and actually show you load building a personal load and dropping same load off. Makes cool video and informative. Just a idea. Each trip would be a episode. Hey just a idea but good videos so far and keep it up.
C-Bet Is Optional yes exactly!
@@bustedknucklelogistics9404 yes yes yes. Please do more video Thanks
What do you recommend to look for a load photo or laptop?
Much appreciate for video!
Glad it was helpful!
How difficult is loading the freight? Does the shipper help load usually?
thanks for the video
Quick question.. Every time I try to log in. It gives me a message on top “cookies are blocked or not supported by your browser” but I’ve did everything from the website. And it still gives me that message, any tips?
Try using different web browser
@@Elzorro574 got it figured it out man… truckstop forgot to put the “tools” that require me to login lol.
Nice rig
Question: can and have you had a broker cancel after you confirmed q load due to finding a cheaper driver etc?
I actually have once or twice. BAD business.
Wow, talk about a dick move. I hope there are some sort of consequences for the broker. Hope word got around fast about that crap.
Do they have anything for 26'ft Box truck?
Thank You Sir!
Do hotshots get a fuel service charge, Plus the load amount pay rate
Myself just lump it into one easy rate. Fuel surcharge seems to be a thing for mega fleets and stuff. Most owner ops really just try to make everything as simple as possible.
Fuel surcharge is for longterm contract. Protects both sides from ups and down in fuel price. One and done negotiating, it is unnecessary.
If y new to hotshoting what load board would you use
Nice video man
Hi I am currently unemployed and I have a half ton Ford van.
I'm wondering if there are any types of deliveries I could do with that, obviously it can't haul super heavy, but I don't want to deliver food like Uber eats around town with it.
So I'm wondering if there is any app or website you would recommend to find loads ?
I signed with truck stop and paid $150 and apparently they have no hotshot loads in my area. Waste if money
Thanks bro.
Looking to start my own hotshot business down in Florida. You say don’t go to Florida why is that? Bad load pay typically?
I've heard that it's tough getting loads coming out of Florida. There's lot of loads going down to Florida, just not many coming out of FL. A lot of truckers (hot shot and semi) will have to deadhead to Georgia to find loads. That's what my owner operator buddy has explained to me. I know it seems weird since there's several major ports in FL, but that's just what I've heard.
Florida pays shit also besides what Maxx said
Excellent Video man thank you
? What truck do you use.
2019 F450
How long do you usually run a truck before you trade it in or replace it?
Hey my name is Patrick I’m in Charlotte North Carolina and I would like to meet or talk to you personally
What factoring company do you use? Im confuses on the factoring company and the pay.
Scott Roussell triumph, they pay next day and take like 2.75% of what was made.
Do you need a cdl in order to book loads from here, or are there both non-cdl and cdl options?
Anthony Groza no cdl needed. But you have to have your numbers and insurance to sign up.
Did you have a waiting period being a new authority? If so, how long?
Yes, 21 days is standard I think.
What does hot shot stand for an also deadhead?????... Thanks in advance
It would be nice if he made a video explaining what all these code names mean for us new comers lol.
Google it friend
@@LuisFernandez-lk8ve I agree 😅
Awesome
I’m a semi driver with T. X. H endorsement . Does my CDL help me more w hotshot. What is the difference between CDL and none CDL
You sure you have your cdl? If you did you'd know.
It's the weight restrictions. You can haul more weight with a cdl I believe
How long is that trailer on the intro of this vid?
40 foot deck.
@@bustedknucklelogistics9404 I got a question hopefully I’m not bothering u to much but I’m looking to start my hotshot business around the end of the year. Im looking to purchase a gooseneck trailer just not sure on a average length to go. Any advice are length you think it’s common. I do have a class A CDL
@@christopherlewis1017 40 minimum no less. You need to REALLY watch the market these next months. Trucks are so over priced and brokered hotshot rates are kinda low.
@@bustedknucklelogistics9404 what's the rules with IFTA? If i am leasing through a company do I need to register? I appreciate it.
@@christopherlewis1017 40ft
Can you hotshot with a class B license?
STU377 no sir, either need to run non CDL, or class A. Class b is basically to run a large heavy truck over 26k GVWR and the trailer must be less than 10k. So basically pointless in hotshot world.
Yes there no air break
What’s twitch Florida? Lol
Nobody says anything bad about hotshot 🤥🤔🤔🤥🤥🤥🤥🤥 are you living in the world of perfect trucking?
Erinson Duran huh? Can you form a legible statement or question?
I'm ready to buy a Ram and a trailer, but I'm kind of confused because nobody says anything bad about hotshot. Must people only talks about the good days (loads), I'm a semi driver and trust me that there are a lot of bad loads out there.
Erinson Duran hotshot is harder than semi.
You should just stick to driving and leave the video presentation to someone else.
Try getting some sleep
Great idea.
I'm trying to help my mom move her big 5th wheel from Texas to Arkansas it's little under 8 hours drive
Can I rent or pay someone to do it
Does anyone do that or know what to do
I'm looking at hotshots
Looking for good deal
