    The way Vini was moving against Bayern and in the 2nd half of the UCL final… if Neymar pulled off a caneta that lead to the corner kick that got Madrid the first goal HH would not stop talking about the eye test. One thing HH gets wrong about Vini is dismissing him as a a whole player because his finishing was poor. Vini has been an elite dribbler since he arrived to Madrid.

      Exactly.. it’s very arguable.
      In fact Vini has almost had more longevity dribbling - Ney did it for about 2-3 years, most of his MSN was more focused on scoring goals, flashy unproductive skills and diving

    At the end of the day it is top level, competitive football we're talking about, it's not Brazil's Got Talent. Flair and entertainment are cool, but they don't make you a greater player in and of themselves.
    I LOVE the Harlem Globetrotters. As a kid I was so impressed by what they were doing and it was so fun to watch them over and over and over again displaying what they could do with a basketball. But nobody will compare them to NBA players like your boy Michael Jordan, because there's a difference between winning and being easy on the eye, and winning is the currency of top level sports. Yeah even as a Madridista i can easily accept, talent wise theres no comparison. Neymar was THE GUY! Neymar was up next. We hadn't seen hype that high since Robinho.
    And you summarize it well, coz i think whats gonna end up happening is that Vini has a better career overall, but talent wise Ney will always leave him in the dust.
    Coz a lot of people forget those Santos days for Ney. Vini was touted as a talent but everyone accepted the risk when we brought him over coz at the time we brought 3 of them over, it was Vini it was Reinier and it was Rodrygo. Vini and Rodrygo paid off then Reinier has flopped thus far doing okay at loam stints but failing to cement himself as a starter even in mid table clubs.
    So even as much as i had faith in Vini balling, we were always just playing the long game with him and Rodrygo. Neymar's talent level on the other hand and even how important he was during the later era of MSN was so vital but he admittedly didn't get his flowers coz he had Messi and Suarez next to him and that eventually led to him not wanting to wait for the crown to be passed down and he went on his own at PSG and the rest is history. So i feel like the PSG era clouds people's judgment similar to with Thiago Silva. Had Thiago Silva stayed at Milan and led the new coming generation there he possibly would have had a bigger legacy. But it is what it is.
    It'll take a lot to match Ney talent level, but im ultimately happy for Vini regardless coz whether or not he ends up going on to do bigger and better i think many Madridistas can rejoice that hes already achieved so much and its beautiful to see especially coming from the days of being tormented in Castilla, crying after struggling to score his first goal for us and the infamous "He's playing against us" Vini has more than repaid the faith. Hala Madrid ❤

      Neymar is the pogba of attackers just like kdb will be remembered and considered better over time than pogba vini also will talent means nothing without achievements neymar is more talented than even the likes of Cristiano, Zidane,raul etc but no one will remember him in 15 years except streets won't forget just like pogba vini will be considered top 10 Madrid legend by than and one trophy for Brazil they will rate him higher Brazilians don't care about hes record because no achievements.

    • @TheOnlyTaps
      @TheOnlyTaps 20 дней назад +1

      @@Gtdmilon514 Yeah true that's actually a solid comparison.
      Coz yeah even achievements aside Ney was supposed to be the guy the same way Pogba was supposed to be the guy. Pogba career stagnated at club level meanwhile Neymar stagnated on an international side.
      Although I won't go as far to say they won't be remembered coz I'm a lil older (well not that old but 30+) so I know even from the 2000s there's a lot of players who got slept on but are still loved. But yeah the hype levels of these guys is also what plays them down a bit meanwhile for other players they don't come in with as much hype and just slowly grind themselves to become the guys.
      But I guess you right in that "streets won't forget" sense similar to players like Di Natale, Riquelme, Luca Toni, Totti etc that maybe don't get flowers but alas its also just down to the social media age being upon us now so maybe its just my wishful thinking, I know social media will keep the legacies alive. Especially now that you have straight up fanboys and fangirls which in the previous eras existed but weren't online.

    I agree to this some what but vinicius never be on neymar's talent is were you need to stop it. Vinicius the best footballer in the world, the best dribbler in the world the most skill full player in the world and vinicius got another 2 to 3 levels to hit in his games. You people are all sleeping on vinicius and hasnt seen vini's real talent. Neymar is just a brazil version of hatem ben arfa. To me Vinicius is the most skill full and dangerous footballer to come out of Brazil since RH10 . Trust me vinicius will shut All these naturel talent gimmick of neymar fc and make you Guy's look like a fools. Like he already doing with anti Madridistas. Be care full when you talk about vini because he got all tool's in his locker to make people looks fools who judge him. He's bad, he's brick he wont reach neymar level talent. Trust me Vinicius will win 3 blndrs minimum, and become the most talented footballer one off the all time great in football not just for Brazil. That's were his trajectory is moving.
