The thing that i love about the Ronaldo and Messi debate, is when someone new to the game watches one of them and thinks that there is no one better, but then watches the other and realizes why there is such a debate and for so many years it still is

On the technical aspect? You wouldn't put him in the midfield, because it would be a waste of talent. His thing is a great first touch. Ronaldo is quite a different beast, since he can do things alone. Like taking the ball from the midline and into the penalty area.
Is CR7 the GOAT? It's a hard one... There has been a lot of great players through the years.. But him and Messi took it to the next level. My favourite is for sure Messi.

While Messi raw talent was utterly insane, he has a pretty regular style. He is a short quick guy with nice ball control. Ronaldos style was very unique. When I was little during Ronaldos early Man Utd days everyone was trying to be Ronaldo, when you would put your football socks above your knees your teammates would be like uhhh look at Ronaldo and we would all practise shooting like him and doing the tricks he was doing. Nobody really ever tried Messi's style. Because it was just like I said regular and you are either a short guy with extremely low center of gravity or you are not. You can't really do it and it's not that intersting to see.
