I liked how in civil war 1, there were legitimate reasons to side with either Captain America or Iron Man. Do we give up our freedom for our protection? Do we sacrifice privacy for security? Do we let the government control all of us so that none of us get hurt? It was a complex moral issue, and I still find myself debating who was really in the right. In Civil War II Captain Marvel was a fucking blood Knight crusader who took every prediction as absolute truth, even though he literally created multiple self fulfilling prophecies. In no way could I see myself siding with her

So Miles sees a traumatic vision where he stand over Cap’s body. Miles is obviously deeply disturbed by this and breaks into tears, and Carol decides that she absolutely has to arrest A KID for something he hasn’t even done yet (and would never do given the choice)?

Not to mention it was proven that the visions only show one possibility. Meaning she was also responsible for rhodeys and banners death. Not to mention nearly killing tony
I like how cpt. Marvel tries to use rhodey as leverage against tony, yet when he turns it around she just leaves.

Even though Im strong Team Cap, I can still feel for Stark and why he's doing what he's doing, and imo this is shown better in the movie than the comic but its still shown well in the comic. Civil War 2, there's no argument or "team." 99.9% of people would be for Tony on this one and Cap. Marvel makes Stark seem like the most kind, sensitive human being on Earth,

This is the storyline that truly made me hate Carol Danvers as a character. She was such a pain in the ass, and her trying to arrest Miles because of a stupid vision that wasn’t even certain to happen really pissed me off. Trying to prevent things before they happen with no concrete evidence is just absolutely stupid. And I’m not just talking in the comic book world, I mean in general.

The people in that universe may hate the character or see the character as a threat or a villain, but US as readers being their costumers shouldn't hate the protagonists. But instead in this comic, she was written so badly her actions made no sense. That's why many people hate Captain Marvel, and what's wrong with that, it's definitely bad.
You know this was one story right? There’s years of Carol Danvers stories and she’s plenty likeable in all those. Why should one story define a character with 40+ years of history?

The sad thing about all of this? Ulysses' power could have been USEFUL to the heroes, IF rather than taking it on blind faith like Carol did, they prepared for what he said would happen and wait for it to actually happen. Hope for the best but prepare for the worst, or better, trust but verify, like the Celestial attack in the beginning. THAT is how you properly use Ulysses' power. With the Hulk situation, have Tony and Hawkeye go to talk: Tony for the science, Clint for the 'just in case' situation.
And I just thought of something: did Ulysses' powers ever give a time reference for when his visions would come to pass? If not, then how on earth can you rely on them at all?

While this story wasn't the best, it had some really good moments and callbacks.
One of my favorites being the avengers mansion scene.

I thought the first Civil War was a bit flawed, but it made sense and had a great meaning behind both sides and there was a reason to side with both. Yes, it did make Tony seem like a bit of an absolute asshole, especially when they cloned Thor, which ended up killing Golliath, (though that was more Mr. Fantastic's fault), but we see why he does it and it makes a bit of sense. In this one, Captain marvel's motivations are terrible, and Tony Stark has effectively become the Steve Rogers of the first Civil War.

As a fairly new character to the MCU, I think she’s just a little to full of herself right now. And in all truth, she has every right to be. She’s easily one of the most powerful characters in the MCU. She has developed into a more tame character.

Why do they always place Iron Man in a situation where he has to hold back his powers ? According to the power rankings on Marvel's official website, Iron Man is way more powerful than Captain Marvel. Iron Man is 33/42 whereas Captain Marvel is 29/42 and yet this terribly written plot demands Iron Man to be beaten to drive the story further.
As much as I hate Captain Marvel, I have to say just coz Iron Man is more overall more powerful than Captain Marvel doesn't mean he's GUARANTEED to beat her, it just increases the probability of him beating her. Also there are various other factors like Hank said "deep down he wasn't trying to beat you" whereas Carol wasn't holding back at all, it wasn't a fair fight. They just wanted to introduce Riri Williams somehow.
Zaid Lots of factors involved in a fight between comrades. If they're both similar in strength: The one who's bloodlust is pushing the, to go for the kill will win every time. Tony was never fighting to put an end to Cap Marvel. Having to hold back against someone that strong and that blinded by rage is never gonna work in one's favor.

Nope it would fit perfectly. Most of people who don't like how she acts is unfounded. Captain america makes bad decisions all the time and is way too overconfident. No one cares. But when Carol does it that's a problem.

@Ha !O the difference is captain America actually learns from his mistakes yes it does take awhile but he DOES improve,and he faces the consequences of his actions. Capt. Marvel does not and for the exception of SWORD normally causes more problems than she solves

The Sam Wilson tie-In is the best part of this series. EVERYTBING else could've been EASILY avoided thru talk. Captain Marvel is a loose cannon who needs to be brought down a notch.

I actually liked the idea of Hydra captain America but the thing that kind of annoyed is well from what Comicstorian told was that there are now two Captain America but I believe the one that's good is technically made up because the real Captain was forcibly turned into a Hydra agent. Idk why they couldn't change him back unless to add more marketing by having a good and "evil" Captain America.
They do eventually change him back I think. That story got so much backlash and caused so much controversy that they decided to basically say that the good one was trapped by the cube and then he was freed and took the evil one out.
