I gotta thank you man. I'm slowly going blind and just can't see the letters of comics anymore. You are literally the only way I can get my comic fix anymore. Dude you are really a blessing to me
One little detail that always bugged me about this story was at Wayne tech where they wanna vote Bruce out. Canonically Bruce holds anywhere between 51% - 62% which is the magic ratio when it comes to stock holdings. Even if the other holders pool their stocks they CAN'T over power or vote Bruce out weather they want to or not. Voting out a majority share holder only works if the losses from voting them out are recoverable, like say if Bruce's holdings were 45% or lower and everyone else's shares were below that individually which when pooled together THEN they could vote him out. But canonically if Bruce goes down they go down with him.
Actually, around 1:14:45 they mention that someone bought all of Bruce’s companies semi legally and I’m assuming it’s through shares, which is how they were able to vote him off
Yeah, but as the original poster said: if Bruce still has 51% to 62% and doesn’t put them up for sale, doesn’t matter how much they consolidate, they still have non-majority.
46:31 that is so sad sometimes you can even feel sorry for villain that was equivalent of losing his daughter I actually feel sorry for Killer Croc this story is amazing
I felt more sorry about the kid. Could have made a kickass Robin down the line, or something. (Reptile Girl?) Kinda felt like she _only_ died because it was sad, which I consider a form of lazy writing. Also sorta pissed that Stephanie's friend got blown up. I hate it when stories kill off innocent people who aren't even involved.
@@trillsam7726 "The stakes" are supposed to be established by the plot via good storytelling and effective subtext. A good writer shouldn't need sacrificial lambs just to make their story feel more "serious." That means you've already messed up. Also, how exactly do you think the stakes are raised by this practice? Like, remember in Dark Knight Rises when Bane publicly killed the only guy who could disarm the nuke? _That_ raised the stakes, because it limited Bruce's option and forced him to do something rather drastic to save the city. On the other hand, when the cute mascot kid or the innocent bystander friend is randomly killed, it doesn't put the heroes in more danger or make their job harder, it _just makes them sad._ Killing off minor yet likable characters with low plot relevance is really just a cheap trick for easy pathos, which is why I find it lazy and a bit offensive. It's manipulative, and while I recognize that storytelling itself is inherently a form of emotional manipulation, I do resent when it's done crudely and callously. I hate when I can tell that the author put something in their story _just_ to upset me.
@@RelativelyBest While I have nothing to argue for Stephanie's friend's death (plenty of things would send the same message), Jade's death felt like something to force Selina to decide her being a gang leader was the better choice than staying as Catwoman. No. This is earth prime (main timeline). This owl man is a member of Court of owls and claims he is Bruce's brother. He is not the same from earth 3 ( evil version of Batman). Read court of owls story arc to better understand this.
