Anytime you do a video of removing anything l.. you should always zoom in on what it is you removing.. we don’t need to see who’s removing it.. we need to see what you removing
The air bag wire should not have gone in the hub at all. You can cut off the yellow end, (it can be replaced later) and then pull that wire through the backside, then use a small zip tie and secure it under the wheel. The plastic cover will hide it nicely. The quick release is much easier to connect to the steering wheel off the Jeep. Us lady installers are all about the little things...LOL!
Do you know how much farther the deep dish sticks out compared to the stock wheel? I'm 5'6" and afraid I wouldn't be able to reach the pedals. Thanks. Great video guys!
I used the Srk-170h hub for my 98 xj, for the quick disconnect any of them fit as long as it’s 6 holes same as the steering wheel as long as it’s 6 holes u good
I got rid of the airbags in my old Jeep long ago. After the lift and after market tube bumpers, nothing lined up with the ugly plastic cars of today. Thus, unless I hit a wall or a train, they would be worthless. I just removed them. Maybe I should take off the stock steering wheel with a fake filler where the airbag was and put in this steering wheel for security. I do have a hidden kill switch. But hidden kill switches do not always stay hidden. Airbags are a joke anyway. The largest automotive recall in history was because of airbags. That tells me a lot.
I want to replace my shitty JK wheel so bad and I love that setup. Is your airbag light on all the time now? I also need to find out if it'll pass inspection in my shithole state.
Here in Florida Texas we get 1000 degrees with 420% humidity all the time! Ha. Thanks for the video. Getting ready to do this on both my Jeeps.

Do you have any idea if the part numbers you used will fit a 98 xj?

Airbag light is not a fail when getting an inspection.
Hello, the yellow wire can be connected to a resistor to trick the system. Part number SRK-RES. Cheers!
