Random neurologist brokers a peace deal by casually violating every HIPAA statute on the books at a golf course.

I wonder if word got around the medical community how Tony Soprano treats his uncle's doctors like Kennedy.
Just like the ER doctor asking Tony “Are you aware he has a drug problem?” when Chrissy slipped off the counter spraying for ants.
Does hippa statute apply to patients who would need extra care from family like dementia

a coyote lands on junior hes payin f'n rent
The coyote was a made man and the prairie dog wasn’t. Amongst the Italians, it was real greaseball shit and there was nothing the prairie dog could do about it.
It was revenge for digging all those burrows the coyote accidentally stepped in...that and a lot of other things

Very allegorical
AJ saying :"Uh, I don't have a coat" is among the most subtle and amusing lines. Little gems of dialogue like that are what make the show so brilliant. Respect to whoever wrote it.
This is the exact kind of shit a teenager would say irl too.

It’s crazy that Dominic Chianese who played a sick and elderly man on a tv show 20 years ago has now outlived James Gandolfini by more than a decade.
Dude was in the godfather 2 as a middle aged man. Guess he's just taken up abe vigodas mantel at this point.
Uncle Jun loved Tony. He loved him like a street boss-in-law.
Loved him like Bobby loves Manicotte
Even better than manicotte. He loved him liked stuffed mushrooms. Hell, even better than stuffed mushrooms....stuffed mushrooms in-law.

When they go? WHEN THEY GO!?
It's sad when they go like that.
Hey Uncle June, that Coyote, was he even real?
😂😂
Not in the face, okay?
Put coyote back on docking station.
Tony asks if Junior loves him, but Tony doesn't tell junior that he loves him. The machoism and 'strong silent type' stuff gets memed on, but they both fail to express their emotions and it hurts them. It's a beautiful scene that demonstrates the damage done by mixing their personal and professional relationships.
I think this scene is partly so emotional is because they both lacking loving, authentic relationships. Junior has nobody other than Bobby and has alienated a lot of people over the years with his mean-spirited, petty behaviour. Tony ostensibly has a long list of friends and family, but it's shown time and time again that his friends fear him, are intrigued by him or are are bought by him. Junior and Artie are probably the last of the people from 'before', and Junior was obviously a stand-in father figure.
After Tony became a capo and then boss, they quickly fell out. They're both proud characters and their job demands them to show no weakness and 'win' a zero-sum game, so there's no way their existing relationship could survive even though it was so important to both of them. It's yet another example of the 'Tony is not salvageable unless he quits the mafia' thread that runs through the show.
Apparently Dominic Chianese became emotional during filming and welling up wasn't in the script. It just came out.
"And in the end, you're completely alone with it all" - Tony Soprano.
oof, madone! Thank you for the videos Mr. Borko.
That split second of Junior on the verge of sobbing; its acting on another level. It ties the scene together in a tragic bow
Thank you very much!!
If the coyote had bigger paws, he would have the makings of a varsity wolf.
You got a coyote on-a you hat
He put a hit on Tony and tried to get Richie in as Boss. He loved Tony the more he lost his mind 😂
While he did put out a hit on Tony, he decided against siding with Ritchie and told Tony about Ritchie wanting to make a move.
He was just working Richie until he made a mistake. Like Tony said he was like a secret agent. The real question was where his little niece stood on things. We saw how that worked out.
@@staciasmith5162 Only because Richie was poison and none of the other captains wanted to be serving under such a psychopath. After Richie clutched, Junior had no choice but to "warn" Tony. Because when Tony inevitably found out about Richie's attempted move, Junior would have plausible deniability as his co-schemer and sponsor in the move, which would have gotten Junior whacked.
@@mikedeck8381 He wasn’t a secret agent. He was 100% behide taking Tony out but his partner Richie screwed up so he sold him out to save his own ass.
I think the sad thing is they're both playing a zero-sum game against each other. If either one of them was a civilian, they'd have a close, meaningful relationship that improved their lot. Junior is completely alone (other than Bobby) because he alienated everyone with his cheap, small-minded ways. Tony could've helped him become a more well-rounded person if he wasn't struggling with many of the same problems -- mixing mafia business with family is an unmitigated disaster for all concerned.
We see Tony go on the same journey that Uncle June's already been through -- he becomes more paranoid, angry, mean-spirited and dead-eyed as the show goes on. The moment when Uncle Junior weighs up the possibilities of backing Richie, but (rationally) decides on backing Tony is chilling. He decides to spare Tony like he's a Machiavellian spreadsheet processing a formula. Season 1-5 Tony would never do that. Season 6 Tony would strongly consider it -- he's on his way. He ran the same spreadsheet software before he killed Christopher.

Was the pain confirming he did or didn't though?
@@2000JayOMack It seemed like he did
@@2000JayOMackhe did. The varsity athlete thing sticks with junior because he was as gutted as Tony when he couldn't go further in football. They went to the games together and it seems junior was the one to watch him play. Sadly trauma and disappointments in life lingers more than happiness and when you are losing who you are the negative memories are easier to ground you. It's one of the reason irritation and hurtful sayings are one of the symptoms. Junior was proud of Tony for trying and not succeeding
He did, but he couldn't say it, or express love to anyone, hence the tears of tragedy
@@mcmanus260 Junior did not want this life for Tony either. He did love Tony and when Tony did not make varsity it was the moment Junior realized Tony would be forced into the life.

Tony and Junior's relationship was one of the many highlights of this show for me. On the one hand you could tell they really loved each other. On the other they were adversaries and part of that life, and that life is as slimey as it gets.

This ending always makes me really sad. Reminds me of what my mom went through when my grandma had dementia. I think it was around the time my family started watching this show tbh. Tony loved his uncle so much, despite all their conflicts :/
Was his father figure after all.
Please tell me your mom had the makings of a varsity athlete.
This is my favorite scene between them, it was pretty much the only time they were real with each other. I swear our family has the same soprano curse , but always choose to forgive and forget in the end.
It's interesting the use of the music from the show on tv to serve as an emotional sting after Tony asked if Junior loved him. Like, the show doesnt have an _ambient_ soundtrack for these moments but the director still made one from the soundtrack of the documentary.
Tony holding onto that Varsity jibe like his balls.

I wish Tony and uncle June would have held hands on the couch, and sung that old classic,

Dominic Chianese is a brilliant actor. My dad had that exact dementia, born of a series of mini strokes. Every nuanced movement of his face, beyond his verbal acting, is spot on.
Now THIS is a character they should have done more with in the show. Doesn't even get to appear on screen.

Amazing thing about borko is that he reuploads spontaneously.
Uncle Jun loved Tone like a nephew-in-law

Yeah right up there with Dumbo's mudda being locked in a cage
Junior’s progression with Alzheimer’s was written so well that we were often unsure if it was the disease talking or a strategy.
Uncle June was my favorite character of that whole series, seeing him deteriorate was really sad.

He had a lot of scraps in his scrapbook
You know how loved mini strokes? Joey Peeps. He used to get them from Heather the whooah when he made his pickups
“Alright let’s assume you didn’t know what you were saying, that you forget when you say shit over and over. Is taking your medicine gonna un ring that bell?”
That doctor was really nice and went out of his to finally point out the obvious to Tony. The guy was sick, and he just ignored it. He only tried to whack him it's not a big deal 😂
The doctor seems like real stand up guy
He's looking at the TV like I bet that coyote could play varsity football
Look at those hands!
Jr loved tony like an Underboss
that would've pretty much solved most, even all of their issues if Junior had made Tony his underboss. Yeah, Junior would've still been mostly powerless, but other than Mike Palmice having more power than the rest of the family were comfortable with, they all win.
The last scene was pretty moving I thought. Similar to early season 2 when Uncle Junior fell in the shower. Too bad that the relationship didn't end more amicably.
That’s putting it nicely 😂
Richie should’ve gave the jacket to AJ
RUclips: You've probably noticed him uploading more over the past six months... a year maybe?
HBO: Look to tell you the truth me and Borko don't talk much anymore.
All jokes aside, terrific acting from Dominic Chianese to be able to subtly cry like that. He *could sell it.
I watched the 20 year sopranos reunion the other day and Dominic Chianese was trying to talk about this scene remembering gandalfini... he tries to say "don't you love me?" And tears up whilst remembering it. It's clear he was very close with James.
