Feech ended up robbing the Doctor's wedding after this, partly as a sign of disrespect to Tony. You can see how resentful he is that Tony, a kid when he went away, is now the boss, and dominates the room, instead of him. The resentment drove the robbery, which drove Tony to move on him sending him back to the clink.... Great writing in the scene (as ever)

Notice too how Feech's spread of food is so much bigger than at the Executive Game, and the room is a lot nicer as well, and *still* the guys drop any pretense of respect the moment Tony walks in.
A part of the plot in this arc was Carmella pointing out that Tony doesn't really have friends, just yes men who laugh at his jokes because he's the boss. That's what troubled Tony about Feech; when he looks back he realizes Feech didn't laugh at his jokes and resented him. If that signaled Feech wasn't a yes man, then it meant he had to go. But there are other subtle moments to showcase Tony genuinely didn't have friends and Tony knew it. When it's revealed Chrissy agreed about taking Feech out, Tony says "I'm not running a popularity contest." Another, much more subtle moment, is the exchange towards the end of this clip. Apparently, Tony knows all about this doctor's life, because, as he puts it, "Do you know what an MD can do for this family?!", yet the MD never gave an invite to Tony for the wedding. This shows the boundaries of their relationship, that is to say that there relationship can be a lot of things but friendship isn't one of them. But Tony doesn't mind, really, because he doesn't have a necessity for friends. And so he relegates the doctor and everyone else in the room to the position of laughing yes man as they all realize his question was merely a punchline to yet another joke. It all goes back to a moment with Dr. Melfi when Tony suggests he's like the sad clown, as everyone laughs at him he suffers. She argues the point, refuting the claim, but maybe there was an element of truth to it.
It's lonely at the top, and it's even lonelier when you're a homicidal maniac trapped in a person who wields so much power. Tony hated the idea of having friends or equals. However, when he reflects on those who he could tolerate insubordination from its Tony B. Partly because of his guilt in not showing for the job, but also because Tony B was smart enough to become anything he wanted to be.
The MD wouldn't give an invite because Tony is Italian and a Mafia Don (or acting Don) and it was a Jewish wedding. That's why there was a massive, shocked silence when Tony bantzed them about an invite.

Yeah, I love when they included real self portraying celebrities interacting with the Sopranos and crew. It really showed the role organized crime played in society and the dichotomy and sometimes coexistence of wealthy professionals versus successful criminals.
Underrated? I highly doubt that. Most people talk of him very respectfully as an actor. He has starred in many movies and was the lead in a successful HBO show. Underrated? I think not.
Adam x I think Tony legitimately meant “Sir Lawrence of the Meadowlands” as a play on words of “Lawrence of Arabia” and as a nod to LT because LT was a GOD in his day, and the Meadowlands is in New Jersey afterall, thus, most of the crew were probably Giants or Jets fans. I don’t think it had to do with racism at all.
I love this show because I learned about spaghetti. I didn’t know what it was until I first started watching this show. Made my late 20s much more interesting
The way the Doc quickly followed up his introduction of his future son in law to the guys with the fact that his father is a big wheel at Goldman-Sachs tells me he’s not particularly thrilled his daughter is marrying a PBS puppeteer.
I love how when Tone says, "What am I interrupting one of your impervious stories?"....the smiles and goes "ga head" like he didn't even have to ask, he knew Feech would be jawing.
Feech's card game? Hey, I got an idea. Lets rob it. That way we'll be on the fast track to being made! I got a guy, Matush, who can act as our getaway driver...
My conspiracy theory is that Feech was supposed to play the role as season 6 antagonist that Phil ended up with, but since the actor was struggling with his lines due to alzheimer, the Feech character was retired early.
I doubt it, the original ending was supposed to be Johnny Sak selling out the sopranos after the carmine lupertazzi hit and new york crushing the family just like the final ending, so new york was always envisioned as the final antagonist
It would have been an interesting angle with Blundetto, too. He and Feech were quite close; I imagine they were going to play out the whole split loyalty angle where he'd have to choose sides between Feech and Tony.
Another thing about this scene - later on when Tony is recalling the reaction to his joke, they're all laughing as though it's the world's funniest joke ever. But in this scene, it's just normal laughter. Maybe the director wanted to show how Tony views the world - he's the most important person in the room, and he DID tell the funniest joke ever. But that isn't what we see.
Tony B I think is the only guy in the show that did a long bid in the can and came out well-adjusted and forward-thinking as opposed to being obsessed with the past.
2:18 Vito and another player paying close attention to the story of the Doctor's wedding-planning woes. 2:24 and on Bernie Brillstein and Tony engage the Doctor on his wedding planning, asking questions (who's the lucky guy) and making jokes (where's my invite?). It's all such a complete contrast with the way they (and everyone else) treat Feech as just background noise, to be politely tolerated. Backing up a bit, I like Lawrence Taylor's look at 1:36 when Feech is allowed to resume his ramble. Complete disinterest quickly masked by a fake, sanctimonious smile.
I just realized the Feech actor Robert Loggia is actually reprising the flight attendant story from An Officer and a Gentleman (he played Mayo's Dad) where in the opening scene he reminisces with Mayo about the night they spent with a group of flight attendants.
@@ronniebishop2496 Not really. Remember, Tony made the call to set Feech up after he realized that Feech didn't fear him like everybody else. If Feech had thrown proper deference to the Boss, he would've been left alone.
Actually Tony wanted him dead. Silvio decided to set him up to avoid discontent in the Ranks over killing him Feech was still well respected and had friends. One of the times Tony was really pissed at Sil
I love how Feech makes the crack about Tony B's parole officer making an unannounced visit... which is how Tony S got Feech sent back to prison... a story arc which arguably begins here when Feech is simultaneously pissed off at Tony and hears about Dr. Fried's daughter's wedding... and who knows but Tony got the idea for the parole officer from Feech's joke. Best show of all time, no competition.
Feech kinda annoys me in this scene. To be fair, I’ve never liked people talking behind me when I’m playing a game, but there’s something about his little saunter in the beginning, and his story about having sex decades back. It’s in this shot he epitomizes his character fully: an old man who doesn’t realize his best days are well behind him.
I don't think his 'best days were behind him', but he needed to realize he wasn't a young guy anymore in power play terms. Tony needed his wisdom and experience, and his rep. Feech's place was semi-retirement, still on the books, but more in an advisory capability. He and Sil would have been unbeatable counsel. Instead he tries to play rough with the young guys and gets his ass handed to him. Love the legendary Feech.

Not smoother than Sak . Sak had the best threads on the series. .
Silvio had a great wardrobe to
Tony should have shown up dressed as a robber saying: "Feech, remember the good times?"
when you had power that you could silence a room in one sentence
When you had Taco Bell that you can empty a room with one fart.
Silvio is always so angry playing cards, it’s hilarious.
i watched Fargo yesterday again for the zillionth time. Steve Buscemi is a highly underrated actor
Is because his personality is low profile, but is highly respected
He was good in air heads when he was younger. 1991
Underrated? I highly doubt that. Most people talk of him very respectfully as an actor. He has starred in many movies and was the lead in a successful HBO show. Underrated? I think not.
@@JB19504 He's one of the ugliest actors alive so you know he's gotta be good
He's kinda funny lookin too. More than most people even.
Feech's stories are draining.. Lol..
Steve Turowski 😂😂 A sense of relief swept in the room when Toney showed up..
How you mean ?
How about Feech and Albert Barese for a duo?
"Long story short, I've got my shoe in her snatch"
"You've got your shoe in her snatch."

John Doe Some people are out there stuffing themselves.

Robert Thomas Can you believe that? He's laughing his ass off.
The DR almost shits in his pants when Tony says "I didn't get my invitation" at the end of this clip !
Best part
What was that all about, though?
The DR thought he was in trouble with Tony for not sending him an invitation until Tony said he was only kidding.
Tony's a funny guy
Tripleblade 82 you know he's a fictional character, right?
Weirdo
I'd watch 10 seasons of nothing but card games hosted by wiseguys
LT was the only one at the table who had the makings of a varsity athlete
One of the best written series ever! Many have tried to replicate this masterpiece some have gotten close but there will always only be one Sopranos!
Amen!!
When the room goes silent after Tony says that he didn't get his invitation, THAT'S who you know he's the Boss.
fuunny ass joke man,
A boss always gets an invitation in person. Tony was losing control and he knew it.
@@DeltaPi314 Losing control of what ?
@@socallawrence RESPECT
Tony and Feech spiritualy wrestling for control of the attention of the room was genius.
I swear Soprano's fans are the best and most dedicated fans of anything ever 😂
Walk your self over to Borko's page and give him your respect
Imagine being Jackie Jr and his crew robbing a card game, only to find Lawrence Taylor sitting right there
Sir Lawrence from the Meadowlands!
In my experience, it's the sort of thing racists say to black guys to hide their racism.
Adam x
I think Tony legitimately meant “Sir Lawrence of the Meadowlands” as a play on words of “Lawrence of Arabia” and as a nod to LT because LT was a GOD in his day, and the Meadowlands is in New Jersey afterall, thus, most of the crew were probably Giants or Jets fans. I don’t think it had to do with racism at all.
That is my favorite line from the whole show!
Adam Honesty and decency are you mad nobody greets you with such prestige when you’re taking their order at McDonald’s??
Sir Adam of the Who GIves a Fuck
Tony learns that like Richie, Feech wasn't afraid of him and would've been open to turning on him.
But unlike Richie, Feech *was* respected and well liked
@@mrhippoh909 True, but Richie was terrifying and Feech wasn't. That could be good or bad depending on how you played it.
Of course L.T.'s there, he once took out one of Jersey's biggest badasses: Bam Bam Bigelow at Wrestlemania.
In the Main Event of WrestleMania
But did he get the jackeeeeettttt?
Your Fake
LT is there because he is a NY legend who is seen as a man among equals. David Chase wouldn't have him there otherwise.
@Brandi lord So are movies and TV shows, just like this one. But, you watch them anyways.
19 days after this show ended, the iPhone was released. I think we all love Sopranos because we all secretly miss the world before it became digital.
I love this show because I learned about spaghetti. I didn’t know what it was until I first started watching this show. Made my late 20s much more interesting
Nobody really gave a shit about smartphones until 2009. Then everything turned to shit afterwards. Nobody looks forward to the future anymore.
The way the Doc quickly followed up his introduction of his future son in law to the guys with the fact that his father is a big wheel at Goldman-Sachs tells me he’s not particularly thrilled his daughter is marrying a PBS puppeteer.
Or it just shows he’s obsessed with prestige

one of my favorite scenes, the poker game atmosphere, constant jabbing, wish they showed more card game scenes

Stjört Bajs Lmfao
Tony flexing here, he robbed feeches card game as a kid, now he comes back and steals the punchline from his story
What I love about Feech is how he always challenges Tony’s power and shows him he is not invincible .
I feel like Tony just waits for Feech to get to the Punchline before coming in the room. Every time. 😂
My conspiracy theory is that Feech was supposed to play the role as season 6 antagonist that Phil ended up with, but since the actor was struggling with his lines due to alzheimer, the Feech character was retired early.
Source: your arse
It makes sense
now he’s doin 20 fúckin years
I doubt it, the original ending was supposed to be Johnny Sak selling out the sopranos after the carmine lupertazzi hit and new york crushing the family just like the final ending, so new york was always envisioned as the final antagonist
It would have been an interesting angle with Blundetto, too. He and Feech were quite close; I imagine they were going to play out the whole split loyalty angle where he'd have to choose sides between Feech and Tony.
"Jeremy Silverman. Puppeteer. Children's Television Workshop." The writers on this show were gods.
And then their looks of reassurement when they hear the dad is loaded lmao
That Santa Clause wisecrack was one of the best of the series.
0:31 I love how nobody even acknowledges Fried's joke lmao
His joke was pretty good actually
Tony always breakin balls
I kinda liked feech's stories.
purple sword I liked Tony’s interruptions
Everybody did
Shoe comes off she keils over keputz!
You must also like Dynaflow & McGuire sisters 😁
“Feech fronted my action and thank you for not humiliating me .” Lol
This might be the longest I've ever seen Paulie remain silent.
I love at 2:39 when he says the father’s name all the Jews know who he is lol. Most people just know celebrities. Jews know Bankers and CEOs.
I like the shot of Chris at 1:26. He sees that Feech might need to be dealt with and he's up for it.
Feech yelling at Paulie is one of my favorite scenes. 😂
the greatest television drama of all time
1:10 Feech is talking but not moving his mouth!! Amazing!
Lawerance Taylor fit right in with all the other felons. Love the stab at Brillstien's Christmas look.
2:25 - The comment and Lawrence Taylor's reaction to the "black" comment is underappreciated
Lawrence seen more blow than Clapton ever thought of. More power to him.
Incredible collection of personalities!!
Robert Loggia was so underrated!!
The thalidomide whatever happened there
He was good in his other work as well.
Tony B I think is the only guy in the show that did a long bid in the can and came out well-adjusted and forward-thinking as opposed to being obsessed with the past.
Until he found that bag of money. Then it flicked a switch on in his monkey gangster brain
Tony’s joke was so insanely terrible yet everyone dies laughing, incredible writing showing just how much everyone kisses his ass
Notice Tony’s reaction when Feech makes the joke about unannounced parole officer visits
That look was about Tony not liking that his cousin is giving massages.
nah he got pissed at feech at treating his cousin like that
Yeah that was Feechs way of taking a dig at tony, after he ruined his story
Such a class A series. Beautifully made.
love how paullie is already out
Toni Kalem who played Angie Bonpensiero wrote this episode.
That's the general in Independence Day!
Donald Boyajian and he played in Scarface
I just realized the Feech actor Robert Loggia is actually reprising the flight attendant story from An Officer and a Gentleman (he played Mayo's Dad) where in the opening scene he reminisces with Mayo about the night they spent with a group of flight attendants.
One of the best running gags in the series is how a absolutely miserable Silvio is anytime he’s in a card game
I love how every time Feech is in the middle of his story, Tony shows up. Just like he did when he fucked up his card game.
Lmao, very true. Tony was born to pissed Feeche off.
It takes Feech 20 years to tell a story.
“Long story short...I got my shoe in her snatch”. 🤣🤣🤣
Ahh Feech if you sat on your porch, ate your peaches and mind your business you’d still be here with more stories to tell😕
Zaghir No they were setting him up. If that one didn't get him something would have.
@@ronniebishop2496 Not really. Remember, Tony made the call to set Feech up after he realized that Feech didn't fear him like everybody else. If Feech had thrown proper deference to the Boss, he would've been left alone.
MrConstantine02 What? Haha they were setting him up I just said that???
georgia peaches are supposed to be the best
Actually Tony wanted him dead. Silvio decided to set him up to avoid discontent in the Ranks over killing him Feech was still well respected and had friends. One of the times Tony was really pissed at Sil
Tony’s timing is impeccable! Even I was tired of hearing him talk.
Feech = Frank Lopez from Scarface. Legend
Just how he always talked about the old days
@Phantom Penance you are nuts, Feech was one of the best characters on the show
@Hyper jones “Remember when” is the lowest form of conversation.
