Got one to do on my mother-in-laws , thanks for the video. I just bought a new carb (less than $35) and have some jets to tune so should be a no biggie now.
i always rebuild the oem carb but sometimes its fuckered up and i have bought aftermarket with no issues. i don't buy the cheapest ones and that may be the reason as well
Thanks again for the video. I used the link for the new carb on Amazon and it had bad reviews. "Throttle cable is to long and won’t work". What is the solution?
there is something wrong. slide works fine cable shouldn't be to long. also many people forget to clean and drain there tanks so when they put on a new carb and it doesn't work they get mad at the manufacturer when its really their fault. also most people only leave bad reviews. they go on about life when it works.
Be honest, did u really find or replace the little plastic push holder for the air box? After years of experience dealing with mechanics, I must admit I was seriously doubting it, lol. Good video with good details to help. Thanks
@@smallengineguys i rebuilt carb on my 2002 recon and when I cranked it up it revved up way too high. Tried adjusting everything the same as old stuff was. Broke the head off the idle screw. I'm curious, isn't the idle screw supposed to be adjustable without a screwdriver? This one is so deep in the hole it can only be accessed by driver. Anyhow, gotta deal with this new problem. Always somethin
i use the cheapest carb or brake cleaner in the auto parts store. i also use an acid for the jets amzn.to/3j938cJ only this acid though. others can mess the carb up
Good day,i guess the carb size were also same to honda xlr 200/xr 200 and crf 150?and honda cg 150?correct me if im wrong...may i know the jetting size of that kind of carburetor?....i also saw that type of carb on some china bikes and also at online selling shops, original and/or replacements at cheap prices...it was a pz type carb?right?
so the cg 150 is a 28 mm carburetor this is a 38 mm carb. it may work don't get me wrong. I've never tried it. I think yours are like the Chinese 150 quads. not sure of the jet sizes but if your looking for an upgraded carb for your set up I think this is you amzn.to/3HMrFgM
